This episode was so hilarious, and it was cool to see some new abilities from the Luffy, Sanji and Zoro. But damn Franky was hilarious, first nipple lights then the whole Caribou scene. I could just picture the phrase "Oh Shit" when Caribou saw Franky. xD
Also loved Brooks little depression phase and the face Usopp made near the end of the episode. In all, One Piece just doesn't disappoint. :D

Hilarious episode and those new powers the Straw Hats displayed were draw-droppingly awesome. You almost feel bad for the Kraken getting owned like that.

haha Caribou slowly sinking into the barrel was hilarious. In general I find him to be more amusing in the anime than the manga.

I too was surprised by the giant's voice, I expected something deeper. Also forgot how badass the Flying Dutchman looks. So awesome~

Nipple lights!!

Also lmao when Caribou slid back into the barrel XD

Judging from the little bit we saw of that ship, as well as the preview, I'm wondering if somehow the one on that ship is actually Arlong?? I mean he does originate from Fishman island, and we never saw him in Impel Down so...hm.

He's gotta be somewhere, and I think he's one of the only "major" villains we never saw or heard about again not that I care either way because he's terrible

So!!! Sanji is able to move as fast as a fishman underwater now which is super cool. Apparently from all that running he did.. I don't know if that makes that much sense but I'll accept it! It's not like his Diable Jambe does either, and this time speaking of that it's presumably hotter with a cross of light. Setting aflame and literally cooking an arm of a kraken. Zoro showed a really cool slash where he, in the blink of an eye, 6 way cut a giant kraken tentacle into pieces. He mentioned he fought everyday for the last two years, probably quite ruthlessly too. So, maybe that's why he wanted to fish so bad, to take a break from it all! HA. Then of course, Luffy showed us a third gear mixed with armament creating a fist the size of a building and imbuing with what looked like steel! Our main fighters are going to be even scarier now on. The shark they saved with the Crimin shirt is most definitely going to come back to help them out later.. maybe it's part of the Flying Dutchman's crew seeing that the angler fish was too!

And with small bubbles and nothing more they get pulled down into the sea. I was wondering if one would pop their bubble and have to join one of their crewmates to fill a bubble with them. Zoro and Sanji fighting in a bubble would be quite great but I don't know if that'll happen. With that they leave the episode for the rest of it and we focus on the rest of the crew as they too get pulled into the beautifully scary sea. This arc has been so cool already, the roots going down through the sea, the lighting, the volcano bed, the venomous jellyfish, the swarm of sea kings, the temperature changes- just to name a few things. Everything has a hint of wonder and fear of the unknown with it. With the bubble slowly decreasing as they dodge obstacles and these beasts there's always a sense of tension with the wonder and that's cool.

Franky has been strong so far. With Caribou disappearing I had wondered where he was and yet again another one of the hardest laughs I've got from post time skip came from Franky and Caribou. The first being Franky casually walking over to him and picking him up, the second was him seeing Caribou plotting in a barrel, slowly walking over to him, and then locking him it as he screamed. Franky is ruthless and Caribou is growing on me. There is something hilarious about a creature of pure evil and insanity like him which would normally be so frightening and such a horrible presence, yet with the crew as strong as ours they casually toss him around. Franky said it doesn't matter if he got away because he's so weak anyways! They aren't even tossing him out to sea to be safe, it's like he's just a child along for the ride when it comes to the Straw Hats. Plus him pretending to be caught and then plotting to kill them secretly is more of some interesting situations he could get them in. Franky's nipple lights and hand lights were so wonderful too, I can't wait to see more of that amazing guy's new inventions.

I touched on the beauty and fear of this journey already but now with a giant sea person and the ghost ship of the Flying Dutchman showing up, well, that's just more going on! Now we have this going on, and our main fighting trio is nowhere to be seen. Very cool stuff! There's something funny about this being the 2nd ghost ship to be seen, the first was Brook coming by singing on his and everyone scared but Luffy. Now Brooks on the other side and he's scared.

That black arm coloring is a visual representation of using Armament Haki.

From tense to comedic to outright horrifying... These past few episodes have been a rollercoaster for me to say the least.

The whole scene with Franky finding Caribou gave me one of the best laughs I've ever had in a really long time gave me some respite at least. And holy shit, that Elephant Gum is badass.

I legitimately did not expect to see the Flying Dutchman of all things down there. The Straw Hats have definitely become way more powerful but the horrendous nature of the New World makes it feel like they're just at the bare minimum required to survive in there at times.

The fight on the water was a big scoop on the script. Painful to watch.
The CGI of the Sunny going down the current was nasty.

The animation, especially for the fight scenes, seemed to have improved. The CGI is used sparingly and doesn’t make the episodes too uncanny.

I hope the story doesn’t follow the formula of stalling Luffy, or the powerful crew mates, by having them split up but if they do use it, I hope it’s done in a more creative way.

The water fight was a clever idea, it shows off all the crew’s new moves yet it doesn’t show the full extent of their power by having the heavy pressure of the water restrain their attacks.

This episode depicted the mystery and creepy aspect of the deepest depths in the sea. Everywhere is dimly lit but they can sense creatures surrounding them and prepare themselves for impending doom, I like the suspense it gives off. You’ve also got to commend Gold Roger for doing this with most likely none of the gadgets that the Sunny has.

Robin always cracks me up when she says something super depressing like they are all dead. I still find it funny to this day she never got the super scared or angry anime face that any of the others get.

So the Flying Dutchman is real. Back in long ring Long Island arc I always figured it was and come up. I guess Davy jones is the captain.
