| Well I liked this episode, Ruri blushing and turning red was extremely cute. Lol at the scene at the roof, it was just full of awkwardness. Damnit I wanna know what that girl said to Ruri at the end. :( |

I'm sorry, but so far this anime has been more entertaining than Star Driver ever is, which people apparently found "fabulous". Unfortunately, I really don't see a difference between the two. In fact, Star Driver was even more predictable with its weekly episodes.... Not a particularly good episode, but it wasn't completely horrible neither. |

| Ehh... okay episode I guess? Cliché with the school festival but well it was kinda nice... Liked the fact that Tandoji saved that bastard even though they bullied him and he got praised by everyone ^^ |

| I cannot believe how little this entertained. If you're gonna use character interactions as the meat of the episode then you need to actually have interesting characters. I still don't know why the hell Arma does anything, Rich-girl is decidedly bland, geology-girl is fun but got next to no screen-time, and Butler only briefly displays an interesting characteristic before lapsing back into professionalism. The bullies were a hackneyed caricature and didn't get developed beyond that at all. The gags were stale and spread out too far. The camera crew almost managed to be a functional peanuts gallery and then stopped short. Most of all though the emotions of all the various characters was only barely present and then didn't get expanded upon at all. You can't just intimate that someone might have an emotion once and then just have that be a half hour's content. You need to follow up on it. Build on it. The worst part is that this isn't news. The characters weren't interesting in episode 1 and they've done nothing to change that yet. I just want to watch someone punch stuff here. I don't feel like I'm asking for the moon. If they're doing other things that's fine, but thus far they haven't shown me that they can pull that off. Well, next episode I guess we've got fanservice. Maybe they can do that better than they do interesting character interactions or comedy. Guess I'll find out soon enough. |
