pretty good episode... slowly building up the clues to solve this mystery..
for some reason the most shocking thing to me in this episode was when victorique starting shooting the gun...had me thinking "who taught her that?"

Yup, that got me thinking too. But the most shocking thing is when she fired her first shot, excuse me if im wrong as i've never fired a gun before, but did she really think that she could shoot such a small box from like 1 several hundreds metre away with no experience whatsoever?

People trying to kill people in a train... reminds me of Baccano. I loved how everyone had weapons.

Didn't get some parts, but it still left me intrigued.

I wonder what this series would be like if Victorique didn't have her "Wellspring of Wisdom"... I'm used to slow-paced solving and stuff, so I still feel shocked when Victorique goes, "You froze a thin layer of poison at the bottom of the glass."

@_@ How does she know?

Hitting trigger device of a bomb made of dynamite (so hitting the bomb itself would detonate it), from moving train at distance, from ancient revolver with suckish accuracy, by a 11-year-old girl who has never fired a gun before?!! How ridiculous it can get? Even if Kujo helped her stabilize and aim, it's still as ridiculous as Victorique firing one-handed. I could believe Golgo 13 or Devil May Cry Dante could successfully pull off such a feat, but please, this is beyond stupid.

The entire action sequence on the top of the train was overdone. Yeah, climbing up there in aprons. Yeah, climbing up there done by a guy with that kind of wound. And of course, running while carrying someone on their back as if the wind and sense of balance meant nothing.

LOL. I'm glad you pointed out those things. xD

Definitely reminded me of Baccano but it's too far to be compared though. :D

Man I really hope Gosick sticks around for a shit load of seasons. I typically have a "don't go over 50 episodes or the anime blows" rule but I really feel like I could watch this anime forever. This can be crazy funny one second and extremely thought provoking the next, can't get enough of it. If there is only one season it'll be a sad day in the world.

This

Another great episode!

Finally, some action scene! However, this episode somehow has to many plot holes like Vic knows the identity of the Woodcutter and the owner of that memento box. Anyway, Vic in maid uniform is pure win~

I wish that orphan girl just shoot Kujo. He's so annoying.

Aiya. Everytime they get on a boat or train, everyone tends to want to kill each other. o.O LOL Anyways, I liked it. It was interesting compared to the last few cases.

There is so much symbolism lol. xD I don't get what the ring means yet...

I am surprised no one has brought it up already... that guy did murder someone (a rather cute girl at that) and now he is allowed to go free? Well, I guess with his sister already in the clutches of the ministry of the occult and his leg getting shot is atonement enough. Also anime logic.

If she shot the trigger for the bomb, shouldn't the bomb have gone off.... That's generally the point of a trigger.

What could 'don't turn around' mean and how is that the trump card? Hmmm interesting, I'm glad the story isn't unraveling too close to the end.
Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!

Awesome second half. Seriously, that whole scene starting from Kujou and Victorique getting into the engine room (or whatever that's called) was fucking great. Victorique was such a badass, even her first two failed attempts, which I guess just barely missed the trigger considering how skilled she is with the gun (I mean her knowledge). And that scene when they were at the front of the train was even more amazing (the music also fit it really well).

I'm still not sure though about what the supposed powers of the Gray Wolves are. Is it just high intelligence? Or being able to learn pretty much anything, adapting and not failing at it?

Great episode. It reminds of the train scene in Baccano somewhat. And that was a one-in-a-million shot that Kujo and Victorique made.

Part when Victorique shoots that detonator (or something like that) with revolver reminded me of part in Metal Gear Solid 3 when you have to shoot bombs planted on the bridge to take down Shagohod.
Hmm, when you put it that way yeah it does remind of MGS3. Thanks for reminding me, now I feel like playing that scene again ^^

Maid Victorique :3
That was cute. And they nailed it on that shot. I'm sure even a trained man would have difficulty to hit such a small moving target o.O

That was a weird ''clue''-esque situation, with all those people dying acting as spies and whatever else. And that poor orphan... Her last words nroke my heart :(

So was Cordellia Jupiter's mistress? From what I got, that Jupiter Roger is from the Wolf Tribe like Cordellia and he's the one who would have left that picture at the village. The people from a certain associaiton, the Ministry of the Occult (I have difficulties to understand their goal and action), wanted to retrieve the box because it would put them in hot water. But she also said that this Jupiter Roger is still alive, so would it benefit him instead? Anyway, I'm fucking confused, but each time Victorique explain things, it seem so simple so we'll see x)

Well that escaleted quickly.. the episode was quite good, although there were still some things which were bugging me.

But I'm glad that the main plot starts to unfold more and more, I'm curious to see how things will wrap up with 6 episodes left.
