Strange episode. I'm certainly used to watching weird anime, but that was just awkward, dialogue and pacing felt clunky and I didn't exactly understand who was doing what and why for the first 10 minutes of the episode. People say confusing things. Whatever.

"Newtypes aren't psychics", now that seems to contradict what's actually happening. Also I guess I need to start counting episodes with 0 slaps, since it appears there will be almost none.

Green Noa = Green Oasis? Can we stop introducing new names for the same things cause I am confused.
Why did Lila think that the red mobile suit was Char? Literally everbody has red mobile suits now, *including her*. Char doesn't look special anymore. Also seems like Titans are using some modified Zakus (Hizacks), so that we know absolutely for sure that they're the bad guys.

What's Gryps? Is it a city on the Green Noa 1 (or 2?) where Bosk resides?
UPD: Nevermind, Gryps = Green Noa 2, it was briefly mentioned in ep.1. Geez, these names are really hard to remember. When names are based on real languages, it's easier. I had no problem remembering dozens of characters and locations from LOGH.

I guess the episode is more clear after skinning through it and the wiki synopsis again, but I was initially confused a bit. Anyway, at least the new crew is kinda charismatic. Blex seems like a nice fellow, and I like his beard.Hekken too.

As for Mk. II... why no armor change? 8 years passed. What is different about this model as compared to the original Gundam?

The last thing I didn't understand is the purpose of the second A.E.U.G. ship (not Argama). Are there any important characters on it? Didn't seem so.

Be prepared, the clunky dialogues are inscribed into Tomino shows DNA and they explode as soon as he gets too much freedom in show making like in Zeta (another example: Ideon).

I think that was the main thought of Tomino's crew back then. Good luck and perseverance !

Kamille pretty much caused the death of his mother through these first 3 episodes. This was the ultimate consequence of what has to be so far, one of the dumbest MC decision making I've witnessed in anime.

As much as I dislike Kamille, the show outside of him is still very interesting.

These Titan are purely evil after this lol. They made someone die in space but Kamille partially responsible. And they're bullying Bright!

Wow, these Titan guys are using some really dirty tactics. It makes sense that they're considered mercenaries, but why is the federation using such despicable guys anyway?? Sure, they're doing the dirty work of killing remaining Zeon people, but still... they got too much power.

Kamille just trying to save his mother was pretty dumb of him. Should have been obvious that a hostage will get killed when you're trying to just take her... But I guess he's a naive kid, *sigh*. I'm missing Amuro, lol.

Titans are asses, but so is Kamille. *~*
I think we don't get to see this since the show starts randomly in time but for Kamille he has been bullied by the Titans his whole life. Also

I honestly didn't expect an anime as praised as Zeta to start so badly. First, the protagonist himself is not only stupid but also seems to hate his parents deep in his soul. All the problems that happen to him are, of course, his parents' fault, not his. It seems that he hates the Titans but the theft of the MECA seems to be more related to getting revenge on the other officer than to a feeling of "need to pilot the MECA", which is shown to us by his adoration of space. His actions that have a lot of determination on his part can only be justified based on a strong motivation that I don't seem to have fully understood. What does this boy want? Who would risk his life for something he doesn't know? Complete jerk.
And honestly, the prisoner exchange is a lifelong process. War is war.

After three chapters, we still don't know what the hell is going on. And honestly, there is still no kind of relationship between 079 and this new series. Really. 0 sense. Where are the protagonists of the previous series? We only see the Commander who allows himself to be slapped. @VoxOfTheSheeple & @St0rmbladeAlso totally agree with you.

The soldier who is going to talk to negotiate, despite having seen how an Earth officer has been treated, still trusts the Titans. Does anyone believe it?

If there was a peace, where is Zeon? Why are they chasing them? More than a peace it seems that they have integrated again into the Earth Federation. Why has the Red Comet moved to an even lower position than it was? It seems that their defense of the "naturals" does not look like it can be developed under this paramilitary organization. Who has enemies everywhere, but we still don't know who they are or why they are enemies, except for those of Titan.

For any other series, this lack of coherence would have meant abandoning it and rating it as a 5. For many, Zeta is one of the best that exists in the Gundam universe, let's see how it evolves.

@BaronLukis My thoughts exactly. The protagonist acts like an infantile pillock. And the less said about the military and their way of guarding equipment the better. All in all it's a really rough start.

Bro what this is literally a continuation of the second episode where I said it feels like the adaptation of images where your brain cant analyze anything... bright noa gets lynched by bask oms men in the last minute of ep 2 and in the first minute of ep 3 he acts like om's sexy secretary that dreams of replacing his wife hooooolyy shiit bro this series does NOT start well...

I have no idea what'S going on here. Why is Bright on the same side as these evil Titans? What happened after the victory over Zeon? Did everyone go corrupt and Bright and friends just accepted it? Damn, I hope Bright wakes up soon.

Kamille still being comically reckless, but the loss in this episode was awful. Although I didn't believe she died at first, because there was no visual reaction to her being in space suddenly.

Anyway, I love all the adult characters, such a positive contrast to modern anime. Now if only Kamille can grow up a bit and we're set for a good story.
If you haven't watched "Fantastic Children", don't talk about "best anime". Thank you.
