| It's hard to believe that Sakamoto looked like a buffed adult at the age id 14-15. Same goes for Boiled as well! It was a pretty amusing flashback showing how Boiled tried, and failed, to to noticed properly by Sakamoto. Still, Boiled and his companion do make for a tough duo to deal with. His companion had to deal with Shin and a hilariously drunk Lu, which looks to be a rather violent and amusing battle. Meanwhile, I was surprised to see Boiled getting the better of Sakamoto during their fight. While his names for his moves are rather corny, you can't deny his strength as he made the fight rather one-sided. However, Sakamoto is now going to take this seriously and after getting thrashed and trash-talked like that, I can't blame him. Now, he's back to being slim like magic and is now ready for round 2. Overall, this was a pretty fun episode. Drunk Lu was one of the funniest moments of this episode for me and this was one of the better animated episodes as well. It's not amazing whatsoever, but it was pretty good when it needed to be. |

| Ok, first episode that actually shows us what this series is going for. Setting up the JAA that is going after Sakamoto, making Lu and Shin his protectors while he's looking out for his family, quirkya assassins and more. This is how the series should have started with 2 episodes ago. It's fine though not everything was great. Lu's druken fist was too short to enjoy unless she uses it more next episode, the acronyms for the boiled guy's attacks were indeed cringe-y and Shin has been pretty much out of commission. I'm hoping with Sakamoto taking his glasses off that more action is about to come. Hopefully it's good. |

| @Massdrop lmao, I'm calm. I've been reading the source, and I'm well aware how it's going to play out. We're four episodes in, and the hook of the adaptation has been incredibly weak given how big of a WSJ title SakaDays is. Let's not pretend and keep calling this a great adaptation when it's not - I'm looking forward to seeing episode 5, and I'm hoping they don't use wind trail filters and slow motions to save frames again. I expected skinny Sakamoto entrance to be hype, given that they cut out early manga chapters, but with the stiff movements, muddy color composition and awkward camera directions (I can keep going on lmao, I'll stop myself here), it felt very lacklustre. You can love the adaptation all you want, but there's merit to the criticisms the adaptation has been getting. |

Animation critics be damned this episode was fucking great. Boiled and his partner are funny as shit. I almost don’t want them to lose lmao, but cmon how’s boiled holding a 20 year grudge just because Sakamoto had more aura than him in high school 😭 let it go bro.
The fact they were at Hit-Man school at 14 and 15 and still looked like grown men is fucking killing me man. Boiled just wanted to be friends and acknowledged by Sakamoto and he didn’t give him the time of day.
Soon as boiled started getting the upper hand on Sakamoto in the fight and yelled out “you’re just a fat ass” I knew shit was gonna get nasty for him. He wanted Sakamoto’s attention and he got it now. Glasses are off and bro somehow lost 150 pounds mid fight it’s over lmaoo. Need next ep now.

| @Marinate1016 Old-school anime have teenagers who look like they are in their 20s, while some old people in newer animation tend to look younger than they are. I reckon that perhaps they are trying to emphasize that young Sakamoto and Boiled had so much experience at assassin school that they are equivalent to a grown up. |

The assassin couple is based on Léon: The Professional which is somehow becomes very influence among assassin genre.

| Finally an antagonists that actually appear in the Opening song. Since they both appear in the opening, of course they are not an easy enemy, I guess. Boiled is quite strong to manage to punch Sakamoto that much. That flashback.... Boiled and Sakamoto look like an adult during their 14 and 15 years old... While Nagumo is acceptable since he look young with those big eyes. Boiled complaining and jealous about Sakamoto popularities with girls, but he got himself a fine assassin partner... Not sure if they are official couple of lover... but she is interested with Boiled for sure. Shin is so useless without his mind reading power -_- Wonder how they going to fight Boiled partner. |

| Pretty good episode, felt strangely satisfying to watch sakamoto get beat up maybe because of all the fat. The backstory was pretty funny, I kind of expect Osaragi and Boiled to end up together after this so that Boiled will finally be able to experience what Sakamoto has. I have high expectations for the payoff next episode |
