Kids in this series sure have personalities. But then again, they are kids, so they can have. I'm really liking how self aware Inori is, though that is kinda playing a part in her low self-esteem as well, but yeah, she wants to improve.

I'm looking forward to her performance in the tournament now that she and Tsukasa have found a way to make up for the inability to do a double jump. Pretty unorthodox inspiration but hey it works lol. So yeah, Tsukasa really is proving to be THE man. Loving him and these episodes.

Which ones are you using? The Hulu ones are pretty good and are actual subs while Disney's are dubs.
@doomrider7 I must be using disney subs. So many phrases are translated into dumb memes. Thanks for the recommendation.

The story direction in episode 3 is quite fast, it feels like a clear drop from the first two episodes, but the animation in this episode is still at a good level.

Honestly, the series is progressing excellently! Sports anime isn’t my favorite genre, but I do enjoy it, and this series has all the right elements for success. The first three episodes were solid, and I’m excited to watch the rest!

I really hope they don’t drag out the competitions. I’d love for the fast pacing to continue when introducing characters and training, and I hope it stays that way during the competitions as well.
I love slice-of-life works.

Getting into competition mode before the year she would give up the dream, the Meikoh Cup is the next progression, though reaching to the Novice queen of Hikaru is still miles apart. Regardless, it's a try.

Inori clearly feeling the pressure but feeling too embarrassed because people will laugh at her skating, Tsukasa allows himself to join her to do the routine, showing how much his skills hasn't waned. But when both encounter coach Mario Nachi and her student of Ryoka Miketa just lashing out at each other, it certainly is the case of a new-found friendship for Ryoka, but Inori is still miles away from being just like her: the confident skater that does not need the guidance of adults.

Though time is ticking down to the Meikoh Cup in weeks, Tsukasa presenting her the Taiyaki and Cake theory which has its own pros and cons, she just needs to make the decision that is right for her ownself while he tweaks according to her needs that'll still lead her to victory. And though it's the Taiyaki way to get a solid foundation before she can perform the double jumps, which polishes her program first before attempting the harder skills like the double Salchow, Tsukasa will find a way to fit the strawberry within the Taiyaki with little time to spare...and it's all because of a doggo that enabled her to do a flying fit spin, much higher than a double Salchow.

Interesting to see a doggo being the inspiration for a trickspin that'll lead her to victory.

aaw such a cute episde, i just wish we wouldn't take such big leaps in time, i want to see more practicing!! especially bc kids improve and grow so much in a matter of days, it's a crime skipping 20 days' worth of practice ...
