OK, It's already 10 episodes in, I like Wind Breaker, but probably the highest cringefest this season have. Mostly coming from dialogues, I mean most of their dialogues can be cut and still make the intent known tbf, Hell, if you want to include they can verbalize it as their internal thoughts. This probably make sense in manga medium but when translate into anime it feels jarring to outright cringe tbf. I always dreaded the anime part of when there's no fighting due to this issues which is weird since in most fighting battle shounen, this is the part where I look forward the most.

| Slower ep but I like Umemiya's affirmation of characterization. I think maybe the conclusion was a little drawn out and they could have alluded more to the next arc. But I don't mind these kinds of wholesome character "talking" eps . Can never remember the long black hair Bofurin guy's name but he's so enjoyably awkward, fun to see his weird facial expressions. |

| @cooldogmom I think the guy you replied to has a point about dialogue pacing, especially transferring from manga to anime, but yeah I don't think emotional dialogue makes a show "cringe" (or as some others have suggested, "gay"). I would much rather have imparted passions in a melodramatic high school fist-fighting anime, than vapid nonstop action from characters that don't have backstories or reasons. People raved about the fight episodes just a few weeks ago but have STRONG overreactions when the drama and story come out. But that's clearly how Wind Breaker is and will be. Yeah I think the talking can be paced slightly better, but the talking itself is not inherently a negative. |

This show is starting to get quite irritating with how often it beats you over the head with the same morals over and over again. The entire "I'm happy because I have my friends with me" thing is already something we've figured out last episode. I don't see why they felt the need to dedicate a full episode to repeating that message again.
| @Artemis_Furrson Seriously, it's so overwrought. There was nothing to get out of this episode but sap, and it wasn't even really earned. The bad guy's turnaround is pretty ridiculous, so we're describing the emotions at length without making it anymore convincing. I'd probably drop here if it wasn't so close to the end. |

| After such a long fight they called it a day Chouji and Togame had a meal with Sakura and his team. At this point it’s just a regular old civilized school anime, no delinquents here. Characters are still shallow in terms of depth. |
| A friendship meal after a fight, that's totally Umemiya's style. Sakura finding Umemiya and Choji's fight baffling, and Togame offering his apologies alongside Choji, it's the return of tsundere Sakura to form. Choji asking about Umemiya's form of fun after reaching the top, he really isn't thinking about that, and just wants to hang out with people, something which Choji overlooked, and Umemiya glad that he could regain it before it's gone forever. That's Umemiya's reason for not losing sight of the top, being a people-person who understands the rationality of people enough to not forget about them. When all is said and done, both Choji and Togame have a lot of work to do reforming Shishitoren, now for the better. With the guys back home, Sasaki's incident is cleared, and Umemiya has a discussion with Sakura about his conversation with Togame, though that pushes his tsundere buttons of fists being another way of communication. That said, Sakura still wants to get to the top, but he can't do it the same way Umemiya does, though he sees potential in Sakura to do the same. Sakura, keep being a tsundere gangster. |

They forgave shishitoren scums like they didn’t try to kill furin students for the past 7 episodes.
Also do y’all remember when Tokyo Revengers was releasing weekly, there were a loud community complaining about the lack of police and parents? Even though that show actually SHOWED police several times. Meanwhile this show doesn’t have a single adult in it let alone a police or teacher yet no one complains about it or is allowed to criticize it because according to redditors/twitter nerds this is the best delinquent(lol) anime created in the last decade.
Humans are gullible creatures they easily get deceived by flashy colors.
Therefore I take the “carried by animation” crown from demon slayer and give it to fart breaker.

| Nice conclusion for the Lion Head clan... now it was also nice to see how the main group is pushing Sakura to open himself and he's understanding that, Sugishita wanting to hit him at the end was funny though lol |
