| i was surprised it was the dubbed i'm watching, but the VAs fit the characters so it wasn't all that bad. i was wondering when the female goblin will evolve too, glad to see it didn't take her long to follow in those two's footsteps lol |

| After all these years of reading the manga, now I finally see it animated. Re:Monster, aka what happens when Goblin Slayer ain't around to solve the population of the green bastards. Kidding, but interesting start; with how many days they covered, I imagine this might speed up to a certain point in the story where dude is pretty broken. Curious to know it'll handle certain scenes in the future. |

| I'm a huge fan of non-human MC's... and Goblins in general so this is right up my alley. So far I like it, just felt a little fast paced with the day cycling every minute or so... but it has potential. But the woke are going to have another frothing at the mouth with this one, just from that one scene lol. |

| @IKniveZI The capture and impregnation of human women is a part of Goblin lore. Unless a show is for kids, if it has Goblins it will often have this. People are ignoring it because it hasn't actually evolved into anything. It was an indicator, along with the blood and the tearing of flesh when they eat, that this is supposed to have 'dark' vibes. It will be interesting to see if the presence of Gobrou will alter the culture, or if that culture will alter him. One thing that I think they nailed with that short clip is the focus on the pregnant woman's belly and the almost full absence of the women's faces, with their bodies highlighted and their faces and eyes shadowed almost to the level of non-existence. It got across what was going down here without us wathing 30 seconds of the actual practice being carried out. |

| I can't believe it, I already had low expectations to follow through like it was in the manga, but they actually made it worse. Story wise, yes it's following the manga, but the art style horrible, low effort in episode 1. I hope the following episodes improves, but chances of that happening doesn't seems likely. ...and as expected they omitted all the sex, rape and gory stuff from the manga, they completely bypassed all those scenes as if they were not there. |
| At first, I too was very slightly bothered by fast paced progression like some others here, but, do we really need to see initial progression in another Isekai anime? We've seen that shit a million times by now and it all goes the same way. I say, speed through it all and get to the good parts. We already know that MC will be OP, the question is, how entertaining will be the world and side characters. Didn't hate the first episode, so I'm watching this. |
| Thought it was funny he went looking for things to make weapons from while there's literally a nice looking sword in that storage room. Great start tho all things considered. Kinda funny all the people freaking out about the little things etc. If you know anything about goblin lore it's not so alarming, it's just there to really set the darker vibe. Definitely has potential to be something good it took years but they've finally started a show for it. |

| Leave it to isekai anime to still make the MC look like generic anime boy while supposedly being a monster guy now (but he has a bit grey skin and some pointy ears!! wooah). Was it just not acceptable to make the goblins look like proper ugly monster goblins? Because the average japanese watcher would not be able to self-insert anymore? Lame. As lame as the rest of the isekai gimmicks. |
| I've heard a lot about source and had high expectations for this adaptation, but that was rather disappointing tbh. Other than him being a monster, there doesn't seem to be anything special about this - art is rather basic, MC's whole gimmick with special ability is same as every isekai (I don't care about age of source material - anime is fighting for today's audience) and goblins are just differently colored humans. |

| I posted this in the other thread, but it would be really interesting if they went all out on goblin supremacy, though I don't think they have the balls to do so and actually treat humans as slaves while presenting goblins as the sole main characters. Also, I didn't quite get the reason behind needing human women if they have females in their own species, especially since they were practically just stored in the back of their cave, apparently without anyone ever noticing their existence (or even feeding them?), but I guess the reason is going to be revealed soon. Some of the women were also seemingly preggers, I suspect there's an underlying plotline to be unearthed in the upcoming episodes. It was fun, surprisingly so, I honestly expected it to be nigh-unwatchable trash, but now I'm quite looking forward to the next episode. |

As expected, it's a work of somebody who deeply resents human society of today and his place in it. Anyway. The things MC does are.not.ok. And I'm not ok with watching this. Moving on. |

| It’s actually has a potential looks very nice and In isekai I love when we see them adapt’getting stronger etc. I think superhuman reincarnation to goblin is fading for the first time even superhuman reincarnation I didn’t hear before. I’m just interested are anime gonna forget about rap#d humans in room or what. I understand the idea because if there is a goblin there is ra#e I don’t know why but it’s kind of a must in this point. But like which side this anime gonna get it I’m not sure because as I understand from this goblin slave thing it’s normally because they all man but in this one we have woman’s already so I’m not sure . |

| @kazikli-bae Why everyone keeps comparing it to I reincarnated as a slime? If anything re: monster is more like a video game were the MC just keeps getting more OP as defeats and add his enemy skills to his own. He doesn't go creating a Monster Utopia as Slime-san did, in this story MC keeps evolving from one life form to another life form, while reincarnated as a slime, the MC just pretty much stays the same slime, just unlocking more power/skills. Reincarnated as a slime was aimed at PG13, Re monster at least the original version was for Mature Audience R18. Reincarnated as a slime is a happy utopia, this one is a gory massacre of bloody mess battles, after battles, and some more bloody battles. Unfortunately the anime they removed a lot of the stuff that made it good in the manga. |
