| I have mixed feelings about this episode. The fights looked average, the troll was very low effort visually and they turned it into a joke monster. The studio censored a lot of stuff, for example: - They didn't show the beautiful women when they arrive at the camp, it shows the kid getting flustered - The kid's inner monologues are missing, anime onlys can't understand him only 100% hate him - The first party accepting the quest and later getting brutally murdered is cut - Also their chopped up corpses behind the trap door isn't shown in the anime so anime onlys don't know what freaked the kid out - When they find the hostage she's naked and a goblin is chopping off her fingers is the reason she screamed originally The problem with these changes is that we, the readers had a connection with the first party. We knew a little about them and they weren't weak, but they still died and this made the readers a little sad. Goblin Slayer finally killing the troll was like a little sweet revenge and it felt good. The anime changed this to 'some randos died off-screen, who cares lol easy quest for GS'. |
| okay, so that red haired wizard boy sure knows how to annoy the crap outta me, but he struck a chord with Goblin Slayer & Priestess, and Priestess was the only one who knew that Goblin Slayer was bothered by what that annoying brat said. but Priestess quickly made the connection after hearing about the brat's reason for wanting to slay goblins so badly. |

| ok episode. the red haired kid is a real PoS for not listening to the rest of the group when they were out hunting goblins. As usual though, it was cool seeing Goblin Slayer and co. clean house and I hope the kid doesnt become even more of a nuisance for them. |

| That troll looks terrible. It's like he's made from playdoh with no detail added. The kid still sucks. On a positive note I LOVED that scene with Lancer at the end where he immediately switched up and asked GS what's wrong. Dude's a real homie. |

| Wow so the wizard boy brat is the younger brother to the girl that was in Priestess' 1st party back in season 1 that was poisoned and Goblin Slayer (I think) had told Priestess not to waste her healing on her as she was suffering and slowly dying, damn. No wonder GS felt bad and had to leave, plus he also lost his older sister too so he could relate. I still don't like how the boy endangered everyone's lives by running ahead in the dungeon so I hope that he either shows respect and restrain or leaves or is kicked out of the party. |
| Seeing him break down at the end like that really hit me in the feels. The emotional trauma this man has been through and just how messed up he is was palpable. |

| FUCK ME I'M ENYOYING THIS SO MUCH!!! It's amazing, compared to the 1st season this one is better in every way, they changed the designs a bit so they all looke more like the manga and that is great! We got to see a bit of Goblin Slayer's inner feelings and that was really nice. He is so cool! I fkng love the relationship between Priestess and Lizardman, I feel like he acts like a father to her in some way and that's too cute. I LOVE PRIESTESS, SHE IS SO PRECIOUS, SO PRECIOUS, SO PRECIOUS!!!!!! The Boy Magician is as annoying as he is in the manga, it's ok to hate him lol, thanksfully we will not see him for long. I swear even if I was a noob full of anger I would be so fkng happy to be in this party, they are all so fkng nice, even in the darkest of times they always make me smile because of their top tier companionship and friendship and that's why I love this series so much. Also, is kinda weird that they decided to completely censor the hostage giving her clothes, she was supposed to be completely naked. I'm not a fkng weirdo that likes that stuff but it is weird to me that this series shows a lot of stuff but decided to censor that. Whatever, it's fine and I don't care, just wanted to point that out. |

| Much better episode, the first one was so boring even for a reintroduction to this show, the new kid is incredibly annoying but that means he can only grow to be a proper adventurer, his sister was the women that was raped and killed in the first episode of season 1 right? Didn't expect Goblin Slayer to be that much affected by the fact he can't save everyone thought |

| Disappointing animation for this 2nd ep, it was still okay. I do wonder why there's no EPICNESS in Goblin Slayer's fight. It also looks like they're skipping monologues from the priest. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Red haired kid exists soley to annoy watchers or something. Rather unfortunate he didn't die. He doesn't possess a shred of foresight or insight and cries the moment shit goes the least bit awry. The MVP goblin slayer shouldn't bash himself like that either, he defo made and still makes a huge difference. |

| What's up with that animation? The character faces look all messed up in a lot of frames. The fight scenes were okay I guess. Pretty average stuff. Did not expect this from LIDENFILMS. But tbh I'd take shitty 2D animation over shitty CGI. Looks like Priestess is not ready to be a leader yet. Well, she's still pretty young and has a lot to learn. But I think she'll make a great leader at some point. Holy shit the new party member is one annoying brat. His reasoning is understandable but it doesn't make him any less annoying. What he did in the adventure was stupid as hell. So Goblin Slayer's actions from all the way back in Episode 1 of Season 1 have come back to haunt him. Tragic. |
| That ogre looked kinda crappy. If it was supposed to be scary... it failed horribly. I think it turned to be actually funny. So, to fulfill the tsundere quota in the party we get the magician boy to join. He was very annoying but I guess that's what character development is for. I also can related to revenge story lines, and it matches Goblin Slayer wishes... so no complaints. I loved the drama moment scene at the end - Goblin Slayer HAS FEEELINGS y'all!!! |

| Still can't stand this new character, even after the revelation that the wizard girl from the beginning of the previous season was his sister. Hope he becomes more tolerable soon. But damn, remembering that girl took a toll on GS. I can't recall ever seeing him so emotionally vulnerable. |

Neptune_000 said: I'm not saying the kid isn't insufferable but the statement "if this is a viking/knight era the kid will be bitched slapped for lack of respect" is stupid especially if you take account the setting of the show. goblin slayer isn't some realistic anime there are concepts such as magic spells and etc. in the season 1 we saw some fairly young adventurers that itself shows how the kid age experienced doesn't matter in becoming and adventurer. this creates an opening for such character as the insufferable brat a inexperienced ignorant child who happens to be able to conjure magic and have a deep seated anger fueled by the death of his sister. i think you only got too used to a character like goblin slayer a soldier like character but besides him every character in this show is a trope and a half. the almost you know nothing so don't ask questions approached by the group towards the rookie, the drunk dwarf, the almost tsundere girl (elf), the supper sweet creature (lizard), the shy damsel in distress, etc. all of these are tropes. now thus the interaction feels force and could've they done it better? yes but that doesn't mean the character doesn't fit the setting. it can be a case of bad dialogue writing or characterization. Whereas a lot of isekai fantasy anime, especially many of the newer ones, either are explicitly said to be based in a video game-esque world or even if not actually, still go for recreating that type of feel and gaming logic/mechanics, etc., then this series is like the world inside a tabletop roleplaying game (obviously first and foremost D&D), down to the characters' names being titles rather than actual individual names. It never seemed to be going for a real serious period piece and historical drama. Though that alternative imagining of it would also be interesting, but also maybe less "fun". |
