| If I have to give praise to this show is for the huge effort the writer and director made in order to bore me to tears with slog slow sad backstories that are only missing a guy playing a sad tune on their violin. I'll have to say that even though I wasn't pleased with Gabimaru's story, at least it was presented in a way I can feel some level of empathy. With Sagiri's long boring soliloqui about death and her family's business I just can't, specially when she acts as some martyr awaiting acceptance from the audience and expecting some "atta girl". The cherry on top is the expected though quite hastened epiphany triggered by MC's words of hope that completely changes her view in order to achieve the "character development" shonen stans yearn in order to gush and feel proud for watching these shows. At least more edgy clown characters were introduced into the story, so maybe, just maybe there will be one that actually makes me laugh rather than make me yawn. Thank god there's Heavenly Delusions that makes the huge difference in quality writing and execution on the same day. |

| Man said "there is no danger". I don't think you have the facilities to make that judgment big man. I'm kinda confused as to why those kids were throwing rocks at Sagiri. Was she an outcast? Did I miss something? Also, I don't like the rule that the criminal will die if he/she does not come back with the executioner/monitor. Now they also have to find this elixir and watch the backs of people they don't know. So what if they do get the elixir and return? Then they die regardless? Someone told me that Gabimaru isn't an OP character... well that scene definitely convinced me that he is. Regardless, it was a solid episode. |

| so yeah the first episode failed to hook me; its dramatic pretext and the goofy tropes kinda made me snooze, and I found nothing to like (or dislike, FWIW) about the characters or premise, but this episode... oh my God, from the opening sequence to the supporting cast called out by name, I was glued to my seat. I loved everything about this. It's hard to put into words what changed, but I loved the way the characters felt, I love how Gabimaru called out the Shogun for his ruthless assessment, I love the foundations of Sagiri's character arc, I love the little snippets we got to see of the supporting cast. The ingredients are here for an all time great shounen. I especially loved Sagiri's epiphany, that Gabimaru made her realize she was wrong to try erasing the fear; instead, she needs the resolve to carry her fear. It was an emotionally resonant moment about accepting one's responsibilities and all the ill that comes with it. Great fuckin' episode. Heavenly Delusion is still my AOTS, but this episode bumped the show up 3 points to a solid #2. |

| Already we in the action , I agree the killing of each other to decide who’s gonna be aboard the ship is so unnecessary but at least we get to see how much of a beast Gabimaru is. Can’t wait for the rest of the episodes |

| One more below-average episode of this anime, I wonder if it will get better in the future? So far, it has shown NOTHING that makes you want to keep watching. I'll watch the 3rd episode, if it doesn't improve, I'll be forced to stop. |
