Why did MAL delete this episode? This is a 12 episode show. If the justification is it not being anime, did they not watch the animated parts of the episode? If this doesn't count, I can think of a handful of entries on MAL that also incorporate a ton of live action that would need to be deleted under the same justification.

I've been trying to argue this in the Anime DB modifications thread where I asked for it to be restored to 12 episodes.  If this episode was a stand-alone work, like a Blu-Ray special or an OVA/ONA, then I can accept the judgement that on its own it would not qualify under their rules of what anime is, but whatever its content this episode is not a solitary work; it is episode 12 of 12 in a series.  The database entry for the series should reflect that it is made up of 12 episodes and be in alignment with any other source of information about the series.  It's not as though Crunchyroll has segregated this episode from the others because of its majority live-action content.  It likely won't be set apart from the others on the physical media release.  It is factually episode 12 of 12, and only MAL is being willfully incorrect about it.

Best episode of the season. Pop Team Epic is at its best when its self-indulgent like this. The AC-bu weather report break in the middle of the episode was funny as fuck.

Goddamn, that actually was unironically epic, especially when all the alternate Popukos and Pipimis came to help.

Fuck off, MAL, for not counting this ep, and after Hellshake Yano managed to stay safe too. Just count the middle animated segments if you're so afraid of the live action bits.

If episode 12 doesn't exist, then Shouta Aoi shouldn't be credited with appearing in it. It's as simple as that. You can't have it both ways.

They really went all out with this final episode, basically making it a tokusatsu show. I just love how this show does whatever it wants. And having all the Popuko and Pipimi's come to fight was so funny.

Overall, like the first season, this was a comedic masterpiece. The creators threw all caution to the wind and did whatever they wanted. Some episodes were stronger than others, but I busted out laughing every week. Pop Team Epic is easily one of the most fun, unique, and creative anime of the past decade. This gets an easy 10/10 from me.

Just the opening is even fucking hilarious, lmao. I love how ridiculous this is. Absurdity goes a long way with me.

Also, I find it ironic that there is actually animation within this. We get a transition card and a segment of Popuko & Pipimi. You could almost consider it a commercial, I suppose? I know for a fact I've seen an "animated commercial" listed on MAL. That and Popuko and Pipimi are literally on screen at the end. The ED is even animated -- So, what's up?

That being said; PTE is literally throwing shade at EndGame with that climax, lmao. Such an amazing finish.

On a final note: For real, I'm tired of seeing all these people with 6, 7, 9 hundred music videos watched; acting like they have seen so much anime and yet we can't even get one episode recognized? I guarantee if I bought the Blu-Ray for this season that Episode 12 would be included. I made a request on the proper thread, but who knows what'll come of it.
