| This was both epic and emotional at the same time. We begin with Eren and Zeke visiting their past memories and Zeke attempting to 'save' Eren. Which is, of course, unsuccessful. The two brothers have now been torn apart. I really did feel Zeke wanting to save Eren, what with me having a younger brother as well. Poor Grisha tho; he did learn from his mistakes yet was just a pawn for Eren in the end. "If someone tries to steal my freedom away, I won't hesitate to take theirs." - Not forgetting that one anytime soon. Eren, just like Anakin, has fallen to the dark side, hasn't he? That was nice symbolism at the end with Eren barring Zeke's path. Another 5/5 episode; this was even better than the last episode. Hope Mappa either keeps it up or elevates it further. They have done a phenomenal job so far. |

| What an episode this was, the amount of mind games, the attack titans real power finally being shown in use, Grisha just being a pawn for Eren. To think that it couldn't get any better than this, but the next episode is going to be "From you, 2000 years ago" so I'm not sure about that. |

| Goddamn, the overall storytelling for this particular portion of the manga was masterfully adapted, I couldn't have asked for a better executed script. Solid 5/5 for one of the best manga chapters in the story finally animated. |

| I didn't expect Zeke's attempt to change Eren's mind to derail so quickly. But it seems there wasn't any chance in hell that he'd succeed. This episode was amazing. The best so far this season. |

Grisha has the Attack Titan so he was able to see Future Eren's memories and Future Eren using the Founding was able to show Grisha the memories he wanted him to see and manipulated him. Same with Eren Kruger. Remember Eren Kruger's line, "For Mikasa, Armin......" Those were Future Eren's memories. |

| Here comes the evil Eren!!! Tbh people were saying Eren was the antagonist as well but I didn't really see him as one but this episode it was definitely a Eren being the villain. Like HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!! Eren was the one that pushed his dad to take out the Royal Family. Damn this time Attack Titan business is so cool. God I love Eren so much in this season. He's such a badass! I don't even care if he's beginning to get more evil and cruel. He's still doing it for his friends and he'll stop at nothing under everything is destroyed! Ahahahaha!! I've always been on Eren's side from day 1 and glad to see that won't be changing. Its interesting that they're taking this nice and slow and constantly keeping us on edge. Like they're not just going straight to the rumbling and they're giving it build-up. Can't wait for it to happen. It was so weird going back to Episode 1 of Attack on Titan. I love how its built so much on this simple concept of people fighting titans for survival and how much things have changed from season 1. It made me think of the comment on when they defeated Annie and they were saying it was all for nothing but they decommissioned Annie for the entire series lol. Nice job Erwin. Honestly there won't be a series like this season of AOT that gets me so interested so much each episode in a long while. So much build-up and years of watching finally coming to a climax. Can't wait to watch Eren cause the rumbling and stomp all over the world. Haven't got a clue how they're gonna beat him when he does like but guess we'll see. (God I love listening to this ED while typing my thoughts. Such a good ED) |

| So the twist is revealed. By virtue of being able to peer into the future memories of an Attack Titan's successor, Eren was able to look into his own future through his dad's memories after being taken into the past through Zeke's Founding Titan abilities, with memory manipulation being one of it's abilities. Grisha was also able to get a glimpse of what was about to come through Eren's memories and obviously didn't like what he saw. Eren's basically narrating his own story by manipulating a series of events to lead him into where he is now in PATHs. He also manipulated Grisha to do his bidding by showing him certain memories and not showing others i.e not showing the Walls being destroyed, Carla being eaten or if she was safe etc. In terms of the episode direction, I absolutely loved it after watching it for a 2nd time with subs. The character art looked really clean for the most part, and the OST was really good. The last 5 minutes were chilling with Grisha's facial animation and voice acting, which complimented the OST perfectly. 5/5 |

| AS AN ANIME ONLY OMFGGGGGG it's so hard not to get spoilered and OH MY GOD I am so looking forward to every Sundayyyyy Edit: that's it. I am rewatching from S1 E1 from monday to saturdays! fyi since many years ago, before starting an anime I have been making sure that the whole manga is going to get adapted. And then binge watch all the anime again and again. IT WAS SO HARD to never start AOT all these years with all this hype...yet here I am my stupid ass started AOT first episode, 2 weeks ago on the 15th of January and OBVIOUSLY by the 22nd of January I was up to date and now I have to suffeeeeeeeeeer. Okay rant is over. Great great fucking anime |

Mappa is not making any effort to improve upon the source material, they just wanna get this over with. At least that's the feeling I'm getting from this adaptation. there has been no character animation like the one we've gotten in this episode so I'm not sure where your eyes have gone too we also got a cut by a famous character animator (Takahashi) for grisha's breakdown scene and that looked even more fluid then the best of JJK, confirmed that you're blind af also tfw you realize that the one in charge for mixing the OST's is the same guy from the previous 3 seasons and the fact that most of the OSTs used in this episode were sawano's proves you don't have ears either |
| THAT. DID. NOT. LAST. 20.MINUTES! Even if you were a horrible parent you should never continue to be one. Grisha learned from his past and tried to be better, but that is not what Eren needed. The Attacks ability to see future memories is probably one of the most amazing and unique powers and one of my favorites. Eren telling Grisha that he needs to "Move Forward" even if he dies, even after he dies is such a chilling moment and Yuki Kaji once again delivered a perfect line! Last week I said "this is my favorite AoT episode" and now I must give that title to this one! I expect to do the same next week! |

| omfg i was not ready for this amount of emotions! I was aware that Eren and Zeke would be able to see the past, but I totally wasn't expecting such an in depht analysis of Grisha. Also Eren was so scary lol. I'm literally constantly torn between "oh yeah he knows what he's doing" and "jesus is he really the bad guy?". |
