| This anime is a perfect introduction to fishing, especially if you have a little otaku who loves anime but needs to get outside and get some sun. Children of all ages can learn the basics of fishing from the Breakwater Club. There is even an English dub for the kids who can't manage subtitles. This anime came during the first wave of COVID-19, when many people took up fishing or returned to fishing as a hobby that was low risk for infection. The timing may have been a coincidence, but fishing really has enjoyed a boom in popularity since we were told to avoid crowded places during COVID. Hina's father is a little scary looking. He really needs to eat more of the fish his daughter brings home. He is skin and bones, looks like he survives on coffee and sake. When he said the Breakwater Club used to be full of weirdos, it was the pot calling the kettle black. Oona-sempai is the cutest! I love her flotation vest with the pockets on the front! |
