| Such encounters were not meant to be. the cruelty of this episode should serve as a reminder that our ancestors fought for literally nothing. maybe it would be easier to say they only fought for their own selfish reasons. History says they fought for their land, nation etc. but that's just an excuse for them to make you pay land tax and property because otherwise no one would pay taxes, so governments need a *fairy tale* thus labeling some soldiers as *heroes*. never the private or the major or the lieutenant, but it's always the general. and of course, the farmer = spy was so convenient. major is a badass! boldly meeting up with his enemy and kissing Izetta was something. |

| Great episode as always and a sad one because of what happened between Bianca and the lieutenant as well. Hmm the ancient witch legends are just as interesting as their real life versions lol But i guess all witches even cute ones like Izetta all come from legends like this The lieutenant is quite the reader and scholar too bad he's on the wrong side here Lol a kiss from a princess to make everything better man these two are so cute together Still amazed that Izetta managed to sink that carrier after all despite the ambush from that Germanian fighter squadron hmm a party to cover such important talks thats a pretty clever cover there Hmm the lieutenant is still a rookie after all he seems so innocent though and probably not what those civilians were expecting their enemies to be Lol getting picked up by the royal guard commander and Lotte of all people lol this guy sure is lucky Lol Bianca blushing at the guys comments and lotte's reaction as well But he actually blends in pretty well there just as expected of a intel officer I think Bianca has a crush on him already lol I wonder what kind of relationship Sieg has with Elvira they seem to be pretty close in that he's telling her what he was doing Its nice that Sieg still remembers Jonas and his sacrifice Hmm so that was Lotte's mother eh i guess thats where she got her cuteness from lol lol Bianca and the lieutenant lol and you went and screwed that up as well Bianca would have been a good target for him lol him barging in when she's having a bath hmm as masked party eh well that was the craze back then wow Fine's and Izetta's outfits look quite dazzling hmm fancy seeing the Empire's spy chief at the party and i wonder who that girl that he's with is another witch perhaps man that was quite an unexpected action from her though lol what a way to get past a checkpoint a pretty dangerous way as well so it seems that the legend had another darker ending as well a jealous wife is the most dangerous enemy after all hmm its too bad that Izetta didn't find that stone when she found that room now the enemy has it instead man it must be hard for Bianca though to find that her crush was the enemy kinda sad that it had to be her that was to kill him though and tbh he wasn't that bad of a person at all Wow the royal guard really are good that was one hell of a shot as well damn so that old man was an enemy as well And unsurprisingly the the United States of Atlanta is also going to invade Elystadt as well just what you expect from bullies like America Looking forward to see what happens next week |

| Beyond certain little naive, I did not believe he could be so engrossing narrative, after a series of incidents not exactly exciting. Albeit subtly telegraphed, the events have been able to make the vision from the beginning to the end engaging. | The sheer level of stupid coincidence and omniscient enemies in this episode really highlight the problems with this series. I get that they need to get the story moving, but this was very poorly done. The writing/plotting/pacing seems to be getting progressively worse. Tempted to drop this even though it's so close to the end. |
| oh sadly berckmans assistant dies :( It seems that the mistery will be revealed anyway. The girls squad kicked ass. Also some sort of grey haired (probably also witch/clone) girl just stole Izettas first kiss :o Im pretty sure she wanted it to be with Fine. I dont get all the hating. Its surely not a masterpiece, but the story is interesting enough and the anime itself is very entertaining. |

| While I've pretty much lost any hope in the story making a turnaround, I have to admit Fine and Izetta looked awfully cute at Redford's party. Disappointed with how they handled nearly everything with Ricelt's spywork, though. I'll stick around for the cool military conflicts and great music I suppose. :p |

| Pretty interesting episode this week. I've said it once, and I'll say it again; Germania is fucking OP. As I said last week, the Major magically knew what Izetta's weakness was just by standing on a cliff watching her dog fight and blow up the destroyer. Her power fluctuating could've been a million things but he magically deduced the correct answer...because. The Major also conveniently had a blueprint map of the old castle that literally laid out that there was a hidden room there. And of course the old farmer guy just happened to be a spy too after they went through the trouble of killing Ricelt and sniping the shit out of the other guy. Bianca's subordinate was badass with that sniper. Bianca and Ricelt's little connection was tragic and short lived. Of course bad luck Bianca would start to get attracted to the enemy spy. Kind of sucks that Ricelt's thoughts to himself about the war and who he was actually fighting didn't really amount to any kind of desire to change. He was treated super friendly, got to experience the overwhelming kindness of the small nation, and even started having feeling for a girl, but was still like, nahh sorry girl, I'm still Germanian. Plus his little speech before he died held a lot of truth to it. I'm curious as to what the obvious man made witch girl the Major smuggled into the party bit and drew Izetta's blood for. Clearly it had an effect on her when she drank it....but at the same time, her genetically engineered blood still caused a reaction in that secret room. Perhaps she needed the blood of a natural witch to fully activate her powers or something? Given Germania's just constant broken OP-ness, I guarantee that the man made witch will be way stronger than Izetta now. Drinking her blood, combined with that red stone which probably houses the White Witches sealed powers will somehow make her god tier. Some of the new revelations in the story now seem pretty interesting, and because of that I have a feeling that this show wont be having a happy ending. The traditional White Witch story was basically a fairy tale to rally the people of Elsytadt. Though the story that Ricelt told was probably the real one. The prince fell in love with the Witch, got married to someone else but still loved the witch. The prince died and the Witch used her powers to save the country, but the wife found out about their relations and had the Witch stripped of her power and sent off to be burned during the Inquisition. She was then killed because people feared her power too much. That story now seems to be reappearing in their current timeline now. Izetta breaks her witches rule and traditions to help the princess friend she loves and admires. Now, people are finding out (fucking Murica) and again are fearful of her power, and want to kill her and crush the country. One way or another it seems like Izetta is going to die by the end of this. Probably defending her country from the combined forces of Germania pseudo-witch, and the American army who is now terrified of her. Makes you feel even worse for Elystadt. All Fine wanted was to stop Germania and have Izetta fight so everyone would leave their country the fuck alone and they could be in peace. She never wanted to use Izetta as a weapon, crush everyone, and turn Elsytadt into some global power. She just wanted to stop the invasion and keep the country as is. Now everyone wants to crush them now more than ever. |
| I have a feeling United States will take out Germania while Izetta is battling their Psudo Witch. Izetta will win but be badly hurt and everyone will think she died but no body will be found. Elystadt will surrender to the United States and the war will end. At the very end we will see the Princess probably meeting the Prince and Izetta looking at her from the shadows. |

| For me, the interesting part of this anime are always the story about the witches and the chemistry between Fine and Izetta. The war plot has some interesting ideas but just poor execution (ex: the spy dude meeting and feeling sympathies for the people of Elystadt was great, showing two sides in war and all that, but then it ended in some cliche underdeveloped romeo/juliet shit). Fanservice is just eating up time in a short anime with a lot of plot branch. Well anyway, the ending will make or break it for me to whether I would love or hate this anime forever. And no love for the sniper Royal Guard girl? She was awesome with that kill. |
