| So far, Lerche is really doing a good job with the adaptation. That's a REAL adaptation, with reorganizing things for the sake of a visual medium. And the cast is reaaally doing a good job with the voices (and the musics are usually quite good too). Even a completely side character like Nemu's mother had such a powerful emotional breakdown at the end. But man, no matter how many time I see Nemurin dying, it's still as sad. She's pretty much the record-girl of the fastest death in this series, but she was a really cute and very nice person. She lost any link with her dead body and pretty much any memory with it, so she just wanders from dream to dream saving peoples for several months, slowly disappearing." They're defenders of justice and they fight in sailor suits, not exactly the most frilliest and girliest of options, let alone magical. |

| Pretty good episode. Really like how it seems like they're going to build up the characters before killing them off. At least that's what it looks like. Considering the surprisingly good reputation of the LN (at least from those I heard that read it) I'm actually looking forward to where they'll take this. |

| Poor Nemurin, see died because she was too slothful... Well, it was kinda sad seeing her die, but given the screentime she was receiving, I already saw her death coming. Oh, well, at least she had a peaceful death, I expected something far more brutal, tbh. Oh, well, shit has already hit the fan. Now it's time to wait until Koyuki & co discover what would happen with those ranking the last. On another note, I'm liking Top Speed and Ruler a lot. Hope they last sometime before die (if they really die, of course). |

| It's sad to see Nemu go. She was going improve herself by not being a NEET anymore, but nope :( I hate that thing that says pon, and Kano saying tch multiple times. It is so annoying. Seems like it's going to get darker. |

Holy shit. even tho this looks like Madoka Magica rip off to me, but it still looks so fucking thrilling. probably because of the SoL Elements or just to be straight foward, it's because of the moe elements in it. comapred to madoka magica, it doesn't have any cuteness on the character, IMO. but in this anime, it has pretty big of it. and when i saw one of them died in a horrible way. well, that death didn't look horrible but how she died seems to me horrible to me. just look at her mom was waking her up and suddenly and slowly get surpised that actually her daugther died. died while sleeping is the worst thing ever to me so i got pretty scared to in the end. anyway, although this anime looks really similiar to madoka magica, i still think it's pretty good but at the same time, i think its a little bit to rushed xD madoka magica starts it's despair in episode 3. but...whatever. i hope they can keep up the despair xD looking foward to the next episode. why when i was about getting to like the character, the character suddenly died. |

You're not supposed to feel emotional in a battle royale story about every single character named and voiced, just about those who survive long enough. FYI, Nemurin dies even faster than that in the novel (since they partially adapted a short story about her that was published later). Obviously the author never ever intended to have you getting "feelz" about it. Stop thinking that this is a kyoani anime or other "artificial feelz inducing" type of anime series. This is a battle royale. A one cour anime with 16 characters. It is obvious that lots of them are not going to get developed. That's not possible, no one can do that, and that's not the goal, and it's not necessary honestly. Although I would say that Lerche really did a good job making it emotional so kuddos to them. |

| Even though this show just seems to be a ripoff of Madoka Magica and SAO, I like it so far and will keep watching. Just because it isn't original doesn't mean it can't be good. The final scene was well done even though I pretty much guessed what was coming. |

| Pretty slow episode for the most part. That ending took a dark twist though I expected something like this to happen at some point in the show to kickstart all the darker themes. Got a lot of Madoka Magica vibes from that ending as well. Can't wait for the new episode next week! Hopefully, next week will start this battle royale. Oh and Fav is confirmed Kyubey 2.0 |

| I'm kinda sad for the girl, I was taken aback due to the fact that the episode was very cheerful and shit but no, it really has some Daganronpa + Madoka vibes, that little shit fav is more annoying than Kyubey and Monokuma combined. |

| Fucking go away forever Fav. Please. PLEASE. Ripple is also a close second with the amount of "Tch" she's done. La Pucelle is a dude. La Pucelle is a DUDE. LA PUCELLE IS A DUDE...Must...not...make...him...a...waifu...or...I WILL END UP WITH A HUSBANDO! Kidding...Sorta. I really like Ruler's costume for some reason. Mary Calamity is established as the bitch of the series and Nemurin is my new favorite. What...the fuck...I just named a new favorite and she's dead already!? God damn it. 3/5- I was interested in how this would unfold after last week and it appears that the girls simply just die if they are in last place. I have a feeling that when the girls and boy finds out that Nemurin is dead, the magical girls at the bottom will probably set their sights on the people on top and fight/kill them. I felt some parts were cringe worthy but that's to expected in any magical girls series but I'm still very interested in this series. It's not great, but it's not bad. Just average thus far. The dark side of this series is starting to show itself, though I expected the death to be more brutal rather than just passing away. |

| The climax to this episode is somewhat disappointing. We already know what's going to happen when you "lose", but dying peacefully on your bedside is kinda... mellow compared to the very first shot of the show. Everyone watching this while it's airing has more or less seen Madoka Magicka and come in with expectations (regardless of whether you want to compare it or not), so I would love to see this anime start to make some significant distinctions. //Ayana reminds me of my elin in tera, somewhat// @ozzi9816 I doubt it. Based on her personality, she's pretty indifferent to the concept of the competition, and so wouldn't have been interested in fighting. Even with that other useless character (I forgot her name) in the competition, it would be hard to top the bottom, so there wasn't really a better candidate for the first strike than her. |

| Hmm.....I still can't be sure that every dropped out Magical Girl would have to die. Nemurin could be just trapped in the dream world, since her power was stripped when she was in it. Ripple's power about her Shuriken precision sounds good, but how would she gains candies with that? Killing some criminals with it? |

| I'm honestly surprised she was the one to die first. She had a really kawaii characer design. As of rightnow I personally have no complaints as its to early to tell. Music is really good too |
| So this episode shows a lot of stuff. We get some time off Koyuki and focus on Ripple, Top Speed, Calamity Mary, Ruler and her gang, and Nemurin. The magical girls are to collect magical candies and the one with the lowest score at the end of each week will drop out. And by dropping out Fav means dropping out of life too. This is probably in line with the whole "nobody shall know about the existence of magical girls". Could be that they don't have any memory erasing thing to erase all mahou shoujo related memories and this is what they've come up with. Or it could be that Fav doesn't think of these mahou shoujos as humans but thinks of them as characters in a game or tools to be used and killing them off is no problem at all. Nemurin dying was unexpected because I thought that they will start off by killing some unknown girl as compared to someone they just introduced now because they kinda introduced a bunch of girls before killing off Nemurin. No one knows yet that dropping out of the mahou shoujo club means dying and when they will find out that this is what's happening, the fear will really start to set in. Most girls were taking this halving the numbers lightly and killing off Nemurin only served the purpose of telling that don't take this shit lightly. They also showed that not all mahou shoujos are on good terms with each other. Calamity Mary doesn't like Top Speed and Ripple. Ruler doesn't like the newbie overtaking everyone. Fighting is inevitable here now. Snow White will be getting some enemies I think. Really starting to like this show now. Gonna be cool. I would like that they focus on each girl and make us root for one of them given their reasons for wanting to continue or whatever. That could be cool. |
| It sucks to see Nemu die first, as she was really eager to stop being a NEET and was ready to get back into society with a job. D= Seriously, Pon needs to be butchered by the time this show ends! >_< Overall, this episode was good once more. It was interesting to see more of the other magical girls and their interactions with each other, but I probably won't like Calamity Mary at all though. She acts a bit too high and mighty and needs a good pounding if she pushes her luck too far in the future... Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how this show develops further on. It probably won't be long before the potential clashes and battles become more brutal. |
| I don't know what you guys are talking about. The ending this episode just felt kinda forced to me. It was fairly predictable and it didn't really affect me in any way. I didn't really care about Nemu. Some good exposition, I guess. And maybe some characterization for Ripple and Top Speed. Other than that, I can't really find anything remarkable about this episode. Too early to judge the entire show though. |
