Asking for help from the person whom you were going to kill some days before! the mafia world!

I can see Avilio having some conflicts about his revenge now, looks like it's fair to say that he started to think of Nero as something like a friend, will he really carry out his revenge on all the four or will Nero be exempted?

Looking forward for the upcoming events, so far the story's progressing pretty well I would say.

There were a lot of art blunders and mistakes throughout the episode. I don't really give it much importance, but it became disappointingly noticable.

Love Avilio's facial expressions though.

And wow, I really love this kind of anime. Boring? Maybe. But not for me.

Honestly, it felt like a mere 5 minutes. When it ended I was like "What? That's too short!"

Yep it always has some crazy twists and turns. Looks like nero and Avilio are building a complicated relationship and Nero trusts him for now.
Interesting to see Fango and Nero team up.

Okay, so this may just be me taking every little detail way too seriously, but I've come to believe that Barbero wrote the letter, or at least was the 4th killer.

For one, Barbero is a family member and close friends with Nero and Vanno. It wouldn't be very unlikely for him to have attended (and since he's called 'the brains of the operation', not very unlikely for him to have waited by the car either?).

Another thing I noticed in this episode is that, while Corteo had seemed against the revenge idea initially (as mentioned by Angelo), after Nero and Angelo arrived at the Lodge, and he'd spent some time alone with Barbero to have a chat with him, and then quickly brought up the subject with Angelo.

I'm not entirely sure of Barbero's position in the family, but perhaps he would want to rise in the rankings and could do so if the Vanettis died? Of course, Frate has a much more likely motive than Barbero.

In the opening, a moment passes where Corteo stands with the relection of somewhere with a flipped up coat collar pointing a gun at him. Corteo himself was probably not the fourth killer, as he was too young and back at his apartment by the time Angelo arrived, but perhaps he is involved with Barbero? Maybe he received information from Barbero about Angelo's whereabouts, and wrote the letter without revealing the mysterious fourth person so he wouldn't be in much danger.

And finally, while this may just be coincidence, in the ending while the characters' faces are shown in the pieces of glass, Barbero is suspiciously shown in the smallest piece of glass right before Nero. Perhaps the characters are listed off here with those following Angelo or preceeding Nero as the next main/important/involved characters. If the list were in ascending order (with the only exception being Nero), I doubt Barbero would be so unimportant as to be listed last. Of course, this might just be random.

I wasn't going to say anything as I'm new to this site and not exactly an active poster (this is my first post lmao), but I have yet to see anyone else come to this conclusion and I'm curious to see if anyone else has considered it.

Fango and his girl were great, love them.
Hope they properly cook that fat pig after they capture him alive.
Angelo killing it, but does he show concern for Corteo, or actually a 'friendly' connection with Nero?

Good episode. Is it me or is this show underrated ?

Of course it's underrated, it doesn't have girls with abnormally large boobs, over-sexualized lolis, waifus, or any kind of fanservice in general. So unfortunately, people will overlook it and flock to crap like Masou Gakuen HxH.

Ah, that's the reason Masou Gakuen HxH has more ratings and more comments per episode than 91 Days? Oh wait it doesn't^^

and is that also the reason there are so many big boobs fanservice loli anime in the top 50 anime list on this site like tengen toppa and monogatari second season and and .... and erased (clearly a loli anime)?

Jesus Christ will people stop fucking quoting me and take a minute to read my clarification response to someone else from the first page. For context, I wrote the following because someone said that the things I pointed out aren't the main reasons why this show seems underrated. Here it is:

Simply reading this will help you understand what I really meant to say in my initial post. And before you hit me with that "if that's what you meant to say then why didn't you actually say that" response, I didn't say that because it wasn't directly answering the question of the person I responded to. So I guess my clarification response isn't necessarily what I meant to say, it was more like the intended meaning behind what I initially said.

EDIT: If you were being comedic and sarcastic, then me saying all this was a waste of time, but idk if that was the case so I went ahead and said this anyway.

Damn this fucking kid making decisions without the head of the family... Even if it was true what he said he basically surrendered the position of the family in that city entirely. And all that for "protection". Like that would protect them. If they fuck up they still die.

And that end was interesting. I really thought Fango would open fire the moment he recognizes their faces. But apparently he is rather calm. I'm curious if Nero can convincingly keep the lie up.

After this comment yeah you are crazy^^. We have so many anime that are popular without fanservice, Hell If I look at the most popular anime in this season (according to members) the 5 most popular anime are

1. Relife
2. Shougeki
3. Orange
4. Mob Psycho
5. 91 Days
.
17. Masou Gakuen

just one of them has a bit of fanservice and funny enough 91 Days is at 5^^ and if we go about score it still at place 10 in comparison to the 36th place from masou gakuen^^

so yeah your first comment made absolutely no sense (make a quick check next time) and your other comments or statements are not making any sense at least for me "anime with out fanservice getting popular is becoming more and more difficult"
I mean if I think about the first anime and make a list that I can think of that got really really popular than it would look like this (in no particular order).

1. Attack on Titan
2. Sword Art Online
3. One Punch man
4. Hunter x Hunter
5. Tokyo Ghoul
6. Re: Zero
7. Mob Psycho
8. Erased
9. Jojos Bizare adventure

just one of them has a bit (not much) fancervice to offer and that's it.

Now that I think about it, I should have made myself more clear by stating that I actually meant Masou Gakuen is more popular on anime sites, not necessarily here on MAL. My first comment was mostly referring to the fact that Masou Gakuen is number 2 in terms of popularity on Kissanime, whereas this show isn't even in the top 10. So it seems like more Kissanime users prefer it over this show, which is sad.

Great episode that was a twist I did not see coming. Making Frate the Don makes since as he would be easier to control. Avilio making himself a hostage was pretty bold as well.

Stand by for pedantic nitpick - Has anyone else noticed that they use CGI for the smoke coming off a cigarette, yet when a character exhales smoke it is hand drawn. Just thought I would point that out for no reason beyond that I found it oddly distracting.

Avilio has seen the humane side of Nero closely, and whether he can kill him ultimately, is doubtful. This pair will take on the Orco, Vanetti and Fango, with clever strategy in coming episodes.

Funny how they keep saying family this and Family that, but they propose to kill their own blood for appeasing other family.

I guess it was because they are responsible for Serpente's death. I regarded that they were being hunted by Orco family as Serpente was a member of them.
In addition, Nero may be regarded by Galassia as a source of trouble between Orco and Vanetti, and there is a possibility of Nero being hunted by Galassia to stop further troubles in that area.
I think those are the reasons for their escape from the area.
Sorry if I'm wrong...

This series has really bad habit of showing things first only to explain them later so most of the time you don't know what's going on.
Also, Avillio plans are risky at best as most of them relies on mere luck it would go his way. He can't possibly forsee what other people would react. Also, I find it hard to believe Vincent would sacrifice his own son.

The atmosphere here is great but the actual storytelling... no so much.
