Did any1 of you even notice that story fluke about Joseph Joestar??? AFAIK he died during Stardust Crusaders but in this episode Jotaro says as he is alive and kickin (tho very old). Only thing that checks in is that they killed Dio...

So I am kinda confused.

He never died in SC. Jotaro was able to resuscitate him during the last episode.

Jotaro transferred Dio's blood to Joseph and brought him back to life at the final episode.

Three episodes in and the battles have already been more exciting than the majority in Stardust Crusaders. This has been great so far, but I'm hoping some new interesting characters get introduced soon, especially someone like Polnareff who brings the comedic scenes.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Nice episodes once again, but the lack of budget compared to Stardust is really showing. I really hope the BD looks better, Duwang deserves more than that :(

What? I prefer this much more than the art in Stardust Crusaders but I guess it's about personal taste when it comes to that.

Great ep, really love the soundtrack in this one.

Jotaro says that he has to stop the arrow guy before a worse villain than Dio's appears, I guess I can expect an OP stand that is somehow stronger than The world. I like this more then SC so far, though I don't think the new character is as charismatic as the other two previous one.

Thought it was a great episode, really liking Okuyasu's stand, really is badass. Loved the background music during their battle and in general. That reveal of how Dio got his stand with the bow and arrow, I did not expect.

lmao this is really nitpicking but here we go: Jotaro wears white because he is now grown up and became a marine biologist. Thats his outfit. He was wearing black with chains when he was a teen, edgy teen, or a high school delinquent. Now he is a grown up man, no need to wear the edgy clothes. In part 3, black was fitting. Now, white is better. Get over it.
Also, Angelo posed in episode 2 while he killed the dog and dog user. What are you talking about?
And the opening, it fits the mood and style of part 4 perfectly. No need to be badass. Yeah, the cgi openings were cool, but life is not full of flowers.

Tell me something new.
I know Jotaro's current status. I still think it doesnt fit. Its not even the white itself (which i still dont really like), its more that weird transition from white to his black hair, especially when he's far away (like in this episode) and that not fitting heart and J.
If you think that Angelo posed enough, then good for you. I didnt see the same.
Who is talking about CGI? I dont care about that. I am talking about the overall feel. If it works for you, then congratulations.

Jotaro is a doctor so why wouldn't he be wearing white. It's like his lab coat. Marine biologists have to dress for the job.

A good set up episode for the greater danger in Morioh and the nature of the Stand arrow. The bits they added in with Koichi were masterfully done, much better than having a narration like it was is the manga. The voices for Okuyasu and Keicho were pitch perfect as well (although we all knew Okuyasu would be).

Also people need to stop confusing character models and animation. The animation so far has been smoother than most of SC, although the character models are less detailed. While that may be disappointing to some, it should also mean that we'll have less off model frames to contend with too. Anybody remember potato Dio for instance?

Finally it's disappointing that 39 episodes is all but officially confirmed, but it's great to hear that we'll also be getting some Rohan OVAs. Wonder if we'll be getting just the latest ones of a varied mix? Either way exciting stuff :-D.

Can't say for sure if 39 eps will be a good thing, but it at least means no pointless 2-parters and possibly no season long break either. That might be worth making a couple of concessions, so long as entire arcs aren't cut.

I don't think they'll cut much. Some things like Pearl Jam or Achtung Baby can be done in like 12 minutes without being too rushed.

Someone else said they were going to do OVA episodes for spin-offs, so maaaaaaybe they could include less important chapters there. I dunno.

I dont know, but the more i watch JoJo Diamond, the more disapointed i get with some points.
The OP is ok but thats about it. It seems to me, the longer JoJo runs, the less badass and more just "ok" the OP gets. So yeah, i think "Sono Chi no Sadame" its still the best one. But not only that, even the last OP from JoJo Stardust had more that badass element/feeling to it than Diamond. There i am asking what happened here. Again, not that its bad, its just............ok.

A Stand Proud type of OP wouldn't fit for this part imo. The vibe is different here.

Okuyasu is finally here <3 I forgot how badass his stand was. It looks so good too, I love the color scheme.

They kept on mentioning Dio & now I miss him

Being a non-manga reader JoJo fan, I like how this part finally revealed how Dio got Stand power in the first place, it has been always mystery to me.

So Josuke CAN choose at will after all whether the wound he inflicts to his opponent would restore or not.

Why didn't Okuyasu just attack with his The Hand immediately after he teleported Josuke onto him instead of punching him normally? He could have definitely killed Josuke easily, Are there some limitations to The Hand or what?

Great episode. Dam Angelo not a good idea to talk shit about Josuke's hair.
So this mysterious Bow & Arrow draws out Stands from people. So this is how Dio got a Stand.
Love how Josuke says Hi to the Angelo Stone so casually.

Lol Tomoko mistaking Jotaro for Joseph. She really loves him.

An arrow to Koichi's neck. Thats gotta hurt.
Okuyasu Nijimura is really cool. The VA is doing a great job.
His Stand "The Hand" has a really interesting ability & he looks great.
Now to face off against the other Nijimura brother.

A stand more powerful than the world!? Oh man looking forward to seeing that. The battle between Josuke and Nijimura was pretty cool. Erasing space like that is a pretty OP power, though it looks like Nijimura doesn't understand his own "The Hand" very well. Loled at the scene between Jotaro and Josuke's mom, she's pretty funny. 5/5 looking forward to part 2 of this fight.

Not really, seeing how he used consecutively and tried to finish off Josuke with it before the flowerpots come flying.

No I meant he can't immediately use it after it's done the suction. After it's done glowing there are a few seconds before he can activated again.

The Hand is a really slow stand. It takes forever to actually punch so it would give josuke too much time to get out of the hand's trap.

Dude, its been three episodes. Besides, JoJo is going through a change where it starts becoming its own thing and not so much a parody of other anime. Its just as much about build up than it is about manly fisticuffs.

Just so everyone knows, Stardust Crusaders was originally "confirmed" to have only 24 episodes. People were all doom and gloom about how they'd cram the entire thing into 24 episodes. Then it was later revealed to be 24 episodes for ONLY the first season. Don't jump to conclusions about the episode count. It could be 39 episodes, then a break, then 13 more (sorta like what Ushio to Tora did).

I'm new to JoJo, but I'm interested so far.

Right away though, I think it's obvious that Kouichi won't die. I mean, he's in the opening theme, and was the first character we met in the show, so he's gotta play an important role.
Guess he'll also get some sort of Stand, since that's what they were kinda building to through this episode.

Basicaly he erased the space between him and Josuke. That meant everything else came forward to him. Since he was an idiot he didn't realize that Josuke moved in front of the potted plants so that when they moved forward all he had to do was duck to send them into Oyakasu's face.

PSA: Okuyasu is dumb. And stupid. Live with that, accept it, because that's the main reason he didn't went for the kill when he could.

Once that is accepted, you can accept Okuyasu, hate him, love him, and leave him like that. You will enjoy the story even more, since the "WTF WHY IS OKUYASU LIKE THAT IS HE DUMB WHAT A STUPID CHARACTER BLAHBLAHBLAH" won't be naggin you in the back of your mind.

Nothing comes close to GER even after 7 1/2 parts. Part 5 may be controversial when it comes to both the protagonists and the main villian, but nobody can deny the glory of the Stands in it.

Maybe the animation looks sloppy because they decided to keep the best for the next (and more important) episodes?

I am also disappointed about how Oku doesn't look that menacing when he's facing Josuke. For comparison : https://twitter.com/josefvmi/status/721024934886182912

I mean, he looked creepier in the manga.
