The closest she got was when she was getting exhausted, but it just was another way to show how "great" she is. Especially since she stood toe to toe with Shindou even in her not so well off state. But anyway, there are other things they could do than shoving Misaki into a love triangle to treat her better. Like, I dunno, some development with Mashiro? Why does the romance HAVE to be with Masaya? Be adventurous some studio! And even if they don't go full on romance, just having Mashiro be someone who helps Misaki through this problem would be a whole lot better than just railroading her on the Masaya romance route train. Asuka and Masaya have good chemistry going so far. She's the one who's been breaking him out of whatever shell he put around himself. And she's the one who's started to light some sort of fire in his heart. Before Asuka, recall that Masaya was said to have not even used gravshoes to fly to school. So, the Asuka route really makes sense. But they don't have to 1:1 replicate the route, they can be adventurous (as they have been already) and make it have more spotlight on other characters too. I get that Asuka's the MC, so she gets a lot of spotlight, but man, knock her down a peg at some point...and give the others more than a consolation prize. I miss Strike Witches... |
| Too much to write from mobile phone, so I will end it here. I already know that I will drop this series after next episode cause of bad writing. To add on Im also disheartened to just find that the finished translation of the game to be realeased will take 9 months even if it is already translated. I have no motivation to finish it because of it. Have fun watching it if you like it. |

| Huh, thank god Shindou actually won. If an airhead rookie that is proficient in one move only somehow beat him I would've probably dropped this. It was still an exciting episode, though. Misaki's jealousy seems to be reaching critical levels. You know, this could bode very well for the show if they emphasize on it and take a darker route, though I doubt that's happening. Hopefully it's at least not glossed over. Really tempted to just play her route in the VN. Given the kind of person I am, if a rookie like Asuka suddenly came and outperformed me, I would be absolutely livid. 4/5 |

| Misaki Vs Shindou 3-5 Asuka Vs Shindou 4-6 GG!!!!!!! This is the best episode for me. i like the race in this episode, it was intense and interesting :) and i didn't expect Asuka to made air kick turn 5 times in a row, that is somewhat crazy imo XD but that score was real, those two really go all out....i like that but for Misaki.......i kinda feel bad for her because to her, she feel like being betrayed by Shindou...and on top of that, Asuka can keep up with Shindou(God Mode serious mode)....that must be hurt so much for her.... Edit: Asuka can only do Air-kick turn? C'mon, give me something else........i thought she will do something different...a little bit disappointing. but i didn't expect her to actually do it 5 times in a row, that is actually pretty crazy XD #AirKickTurn Everywhere |

Not because Asuka is the main heroine that she has to have it all. Asuka plot convenience is more ridiculous and absurd than the used by Kirito in SAO. It was totally ridiculous they favored Asuka on all routes of the visual novel, shoving Asuka down the throats of people. Asuka is a totally unrealistic character and your plot convenience helps to make it even more unrealistic. Most of the shows that deal with sport are very unrealistic and absurds, they do not know write and deal with characters who are talented or geniuses in sports. The authors write the characters who are talented or are geniuses in the sport as Gary-Stu/Mary-Sue, and a hike to the top is written and shown a totally unrealistic way and of an easy way through your Kirito’s plot convenience. Misaki is a much more realistic and interesting character, Misaki has flaws problems like any girl her age. Misaki and the main protagonist Masaya are too similar, their stories and problems are similar, and both can overcome and improve their situations together. this anime is a copy of Walkure Romanze. Asuka is the Mio clone without the big boobs. |

| Can not stand Asuka. In fact, that is the biggest hit for me so far after week 6 in this show is characters. There is nothing going on to like any one character or care about anything for that matter. Sticking around for the supposed romance in this title...idk where it is. I honestly don't enjoy the FC sport that much because it's 1v1 with a predictable plan of action. Fastest off the start gets point 1, slower takes a shortcut and tries to force a dogfight [insert "pro move" or gets passed, tower 2 point, loser takes shortcut, repeat, repeat, repeat. But seriously I prob would be enjoying this more if it wasn't for Asuka. Just can not stand her. Every time she opens her mouth I get annoyed. Real shame. Hopefully there is a dynamic shift in the show coming down the pipe...if not this gonna be a low score out of me. |

Well its mainly Shidous fault since he didnt play seriously against her. If his lvl is supposed to be world level then this sport is a joke if a beginner who didnt even know basics reached it in a month. That shouldnt be considered sport anymore but a kids game. |

It's true he held back against Misaki but she honestly did better than I expected. Now for Asuka damn! Her matches are so fun. It's amazing how she can just laugh it all off and smile after getting defeated. She's just enjoying the game which is really refreshing. I really want Masaya to at least play once D: Shindou vs Saki incoming!! HYPE! I'm sure she'll probably win. Usually those mystery characters have stronger plot armor than the already well known champs. | wow! this is an unexpected excellent episode! Asuka really made a very good fight (consecutive air kick turn 3x!) with Shindou! Look at Misaki's expression after the fight, she's in denial because Asuka is a beginner but already has a talent on being the best (age proportion wise). Looks like Misaki could not believe that Asuka made Shindou serious but her fight with Shindou was just not serious at all! Looks like next episode, there would be a player that is much stronger than Shindou himself... (there is a saying that even if you're a champion, there would always still be someone whose better than you) 5/5! |

| Cool episode with lots of turn arounds and sparks of jealousy/realization. It would be cool to see some more sophisticated fighter-pilot maneuvers in these matches though. There's a lot more interesting things you can do to get behind someone than just high-G vector changes and barrel rolls. air-kick turn, sounds like the "cut-back drop turn" of eureka seven, or mid-air shundou of negima... |

| Good match with Misaki. Shindou is really good isn't he? One thing I didn't like was all those air kick turns (boring ... can we get some new moves please?) and well, Asuka being "OP" I guess. I mean she was a total beginner now she's matching a national champion? I've always hated when characters can do that. Misaki is much more believable for me, especially considering how pissed she was at the end for Shindou not taking her seriously and being frustrated for not doing as well as Asuka. Still I enjoyed the action though, and looking forward to seeing some of other players next episode! |
| Episode that tries to carry on many aspects, but unfortunately can not manage them well, in the first place can not be engaging in clashes of the tournament FC, then he fails to give a clear idea of the direction he wants to do, in short, a mess . The potential was there but it is wasted, you add to this a drop in the quality of the drawings and animations, what a pity! |

| Animation on some parts seem a bit off but the Asuka-Shindou fight was intense, felt bad on Misaki though getting jelly on Asuka. Also kinda agree with the fellow poster that what I really like on this series was the way they integrated SOL/Sports but Romance will always be welcome to my treat, if ever the question will be how will they manage with the few remaining eps left given that next ep will be another action packed ep. |

| I'm really enjoying this so far! Asuka and Shindou's match was awesome. I wish we'd see a more variety of moves though. I feel kind of bad for Misaki, I hope this doesn't affect her too much. |

| Misaki is getting jealousss XD. Like some people commented above it's really nice to see that people actually lose instead of the mc winning all the time. |
