There was hardly anything abt Tokyo Ghoul :( (mask, poster, pins) I even asked last week in a store for a TG t-shirt and they told me that it had recently become popular so they haven't caught up to the merchandise, which they are not lying since I am buying the manga and the 9th volume comes in January...I want my centipede!!!!!!!! yeah in bordeaux. Animasia i believe. did you go? and TG isn't here yet :((((( luckily hulu has it but no merch here at all. i have to figure something out cause i wanna cosplay in april!!.. i plan to buy all the volumes once they come and hope i get zakki for christmas. but the merch i ordered (the neckwarmer) is coming from international shipping Yes, I did, There was whole BL stand that I used as a consolation prize since they didn't have hardly anything of TG LOL Cool you want to cosplay??? I actually saw Rize in the convention :D, purple hair, red glasses, it was cool. If you really want to cosplay and you have the money for it, in amazon.fr they are selling Kaneki's green/blue jacket...I soooo want it, but it costs 50 EUR. |

That convention in france made me happy to see how similar people are around the world. lol at the BL consolation. |

Don't know what deals he had with Takatsuki(ch 109) and Arima(popular theory of Sasaki's origin). But he's too suspicious to be left neglected, considering his action behind screen may have a major impact to the future of the story in TG:re that is yet to be unfold. |

I don't think he is THAT good, as ppl is making him out to be. I mean, yeah, he has talent as an investigator, he is resourceful. But not having guess that his friend was a ghoul (according to the novels, a supernatural club told him), that he fell for the car story that Touka made him swallow makes me believe that he is just an intelligent human. Not only that, in the same novel where he finds out Kaneki is a ghoul, he falls for Cain trap, he never suspected he was a ghoul. |

Ishida has left enough non explicit things open ended to have you give attention to hide. there are many things that hide does to cover up his own movement, he gathers allibies, with holds info, and uses other peoples motives to aid his own. gaby do you really believe that hide believed the car story?? the whole battle between kaneki and nishiki and hid moving unconciously to stall nishiki just seemed far fetched in itself. Even nishio pointed out that hide knew something was up hence why he tried to go alone with nishio. do i think he's more than human? no. i just don't know what or who he could be involved with but he seems foul to me or at least not who he appears to be. the play that kaneki was in hide played the witch's servant, i feel that that may be a foreshadowing clue to something. |

And here I thought both the person on the left panel and the dialogue in ch 1 referred to Touka, seemed like I was wrong the whole time. Had eagerly been waiting throughout the chapter, to see the relationship reveal between Mutsuki and Touka but maybe there wasn't one to begin with. There goes my theory T.T Fun fact: Touka was last seen in the second to last page in the last chapter of the original manga. And presumably the person above is Touka, that would mean she first appeared in the second page of ch 1 in TG:re. And what else? Regarding tarot card reference, she was given number 2 which meant empress if i remember correctly. Gotta love Ishida's parallelism. XD |

the references tarot cards are commonly used in important things, like "I'm a Ghoul" or when shows the "death" of Kaneki, but since these references were more known, fans see number on anything now. |

There are some series that are worth over-analyzing cuz you never know what you may get yourself into :D Here's one fine example of what you may call over-analyzing(maybe). http://imgur.com/0zACVvt Btw, I really like their analytic discussion of Checkerboard and Flower in "Kaneki vs Arima" fight; one represents orders in society, another's wilderness. And here I give you another fun fact. Chapter 72 titled halfway, this meant the total chapter are 144. But in actual fact, there're only 143 chapters. So 143-144 = -1 Now let's look at "1000-7", the infamous mathematical equation used during Kaneki torture scene. If you subtract 1000 with 7 by 143 times, you get -1. 1000 - (7 * 143) = -1 (closest numerical result to "0") "143" & "-1" hmm... quite a parallel huh! haha, just another fun fact. It's quite fun figuring stuff out even if it was just coincidential or unintentionally(who know) made by the author :D |

Nagachika reaches Anteiku and had a conversation with Kaneki. He thinks that after Kaneki's transplant, he was in a very poor state, and started becoming more normal after working at the coffee shop. The coffee shop also took care of him and Kaneki after being in a car accident, and he feels grateful towards them. In addition, he wanted to see Touka, who is pretty cute. Translator Frozen Ice And it is not the empress is the hight priestess which also means Knowingness – Love – Relationships Wisdom – Sound judgment – Serenity Common sense – Intuition Mystical vision – introspection – otherworldliness As for over-analyzing or not, Ishida-sensei started to put numbers that related to the tarot, he did this intentionally, its obvious that fans now will try to find the next numbers, since some fans didn't see the numbers that were there at the beginning. Also there is great psychoanalysis here, confirmed by some phrases from his art book zakki. Tokyo Ghoul is not like any manga, there is hidden meaning everywhere, like the yin/yang thing...I mean how much can you use flowers and check board floors without any meaning. Anyhow I do think the 1000-7 is taking it too far, but it is normal to it, in an easter egg hunt you have to look at everything, if not how are you going to find the egg. I do not believe Tokyo Ghoul is a light reading as many fans who do not like to analyze things take it. I think they are loosing a lot of content of the manga, by trying to be blind of what is there, blatantly staring at them. |

- The "Halfway" chapter title was obviously intended, since Ishida already knew how the series will run. But I doubt that mathematical tidbit you were saying is true. Most of those stuff came from fans overanalyzing the manga and came up with those things by themselves. - People tend to pick numbers that are pleasing or gramatically sound. In this case, a whole number that looks and sounds pleasing, like 1000, could be 100, or 50, or 25. Also, it's a proven scientific fact that humans in general have some sort of favoritism towards the number 7 (Ex. Red for color. Hammer for tools. You get my point). Ishida probably thought of 7 because that's the number that initially came to his/her mind. Now imagine Kaneki asking "What is 957 minus 4?" Wouldn't that sound weird? And weird numbers like those WOULD imply that it was intentional. In this case, it probably wasn't, and fans just over-analyze stuff. Acernos said: the references tarot cards are commonly used in important things, like "I'm a Ghoul" or when shows the "death" of Kaneki, but since these references were more known, fans see number on anything now. Then you have Yomo hating Arima for what he did to his sister and Akira hating Touka for what she did to Mado(if she finds out of course). there is the theory that Narukami was made from the mother from Touka. i think its yomo's sister. I've heard this theory before though. Did anyone notice how touka smelled her father on Shinohara at the coffee shop when he and suzuya came to investigate kaneki's whereabouts? |

If not no wonder they're slow as there is no competition. As fas as I know scans teams agree who is going to do what manga, so there is no competition and there is no double translation. |

That's sad to hear. Competition is what drives results. In the case of manga it could be faster chapters or better translations. I wish my japanese was more advanced this looks like a good opportunity to make some money unless I'm severely underestimating how much work is required to translate chapters and any legal stuff regarding making money off some else's books. |

It's late because they haven't received the actually properly scanned raws yet. There's probably also a bit more to it than just translating as they have to redraw as well. |

If ppl started to compete, you would have less manga to read, bc everyone would be competing for the mainstream. Message from Imperial scans "You f*gg**s need to learn how to read, it'll be out as soon as we get our hands on the raws but due yet unknown reasons they're delayed this week. Now gtfo" |

It was the most beautiful kagune at least in anime i was more interested in seeing sasakis kagune colored from the final page of chapter 6. but i can see why that shit would be extremely hard to color and i haven't been able to find any except for 1 where it was just all tinted red including the background so i dont count it |

Now gtfo" dont think people care about overall less manga as long as the manga they read/favor gets released quick/soon as possible they forgot to put kanouka touka + kanekis child in the spoilers walking out from the backroom waking up from a nap rubbing her eyes askin where mommy is for touka to rush over and pick her up. this will ofcourse reveal that kaneki is from a special bloodline leading back hundreds of years back to goku himself, their sperm has a special trait that whenever their body is near death the sperm escapes on its own during the battle and seeks out the bodys lover to ensure the bloodline doesn't die out. This happened during gokus fight with cell if you pay close attention the seed goes to chichis house and sneaks inside while shes watching the television. its all cannon guys you should know this. |
