Hello, I am a girl, yes a girl....well more like a woman, with girl tastes...wait scratch that, I am a woman with boy's tastes....wait a woman with gay boy's tastes, since I do read and watch from time to time yaoi.
Anyway, I started to watch anime when I was a little 6 year old girl, and the main cartoon that they were showing in the 80's before the anime was popular in the American continent was from Astroboy and Candy Candy.
When I grew up and I hit my 12, anime started to become popular with series like Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball...oh yeah lets not forget CLAMP magic knight rayehearth.
it wasn't until I turned 15, that I took a dragon ball manga, and started reading it, that was my first contact with mangas, but I still lived in a time where mangas were not yet popular.
After a bullying phase for watching animes, I hit my 20's and I discovered yaoi by accident when I started to watch junjou romantica the anime, which took me to manga, which made me discover great things like hellsing, monster! and death note.
Even though I do read my share of yaois, I tend to drift to shonen's and seinen's in my old 32 years old, and 18 years old of watching anime.
I really into psychological thrillers, specially if they have battles and gore. I really like animes/mangas that make me think, and where I can interact, and not be just a passive watcher. I also love mangas that show me characters who are hardworkers and passionate, since I admire those traits, specially if they find themselves in our universe and not in a fantastic one.
My current favorites are Attack on titans, Tokyo Ghoul (whichi is my first priority) and parasyte.
Just to put it out there I hate One piece, yes, I have tried it, I even did a marathon...I have read the manga and watch the anime, and together with the bad drawing and the vulgarity, the good story starts on getting weak, thanks to these failures.
