Whew finally this awful match is over. The matches where Seirin isn't playing really are much more fun~

Hopefully this means the manga is going to be over soon.

Overall a pretty 'meh' match.
The only good thing is that its finally over. I wonder what will happen next.

Finally its over probably the most boring dragged out match in the entire manga.

Other than that I'm worried for Akashi cause he father said he had to be the best or #1 at everything in one of the chapters I think the night before the match. I wonder if he is going to disown him or something?

everyone's here complaining? f**k that I'm just freaking happy this match is over like come on how many freaking chapters did this one match take O.o. Ever since the 4 point play a chapter ago we all knew how this was going to end lets just be honest for a sec, isn't like we didn't see the plot armor from the get go. Only thing i didn't like was when akashi got beat the first time and was out of sorts, you mean to tell me that the coach saw that and continued to let him play while hurting the team all the way up to the point of seirin catching up ? come on really now? TF kind of coaching is that

All I can say is Fujimaki became too focused on emphasizing Rakuzan's strength. Another thing i find to be a flaw is putting three Crownless Generals into one team and one with a GOM at that. He was trying to make this team far too strong.

As for the ending, I wasnt too pleased. There are so many other beautiful techniques in basketball that could have been used and for someone like Fujimaki, who had the cleverness to create the GOMs, this was simply a letdown.

He clearly, as S73v0 said

Great win for Seirin! To the Rakuzan fans, if you claim to expect the win since way back, then this result shouldn't upset you too much. After all, you had months to psychologically prepare for the eventuality. :)

Sidenote: Akashi could have blocked Kuroko's Phantom Shot/pass to Kagami if he still had the Emperor's Eye.

Flashback to Kise blocking the Phantom Shot:

chapter 185 page 17: http://i.imgur.com/prvk81J.jpg
chapter 185 page 18: http://imgur.com/OOiwjP1

Kise to Kuroko: "It's pointless even if you switch the shot to a pass, you can stop it if you know which direction it'll go."

Is that confirmation that Akashi lost the EE when the old Akashi came back? That to perform his EE-powered ankle breaker, he needs to go into evil Akashi mode (which he somehow momentarily did right at the end)? Strangely, that would mean that only Kise can use the EE now and that would probably cement Kise's place among the GoMs as their strongest offensive player outside the zone.

If he wants to drag it mor (and oh boy, he really want it) then this would be more important to Rakuzan beat Seirin now. He made them horriristicly strong, so it would suit the team to comfortably beat Seirin now. But no, they came in, few defeat early in the game, then boom boom boom, win everything.
Thats why Ahiru no Sora is a much better basketball manga...

I'm not upset at the fact Seirin won. Its how they won. It was so anticlimactic and predictable. I wish the author would've had the courage to have Seirin lose, but I guess he needs to keep the fans in Japan happy.

Rakuzan was supposed to be this super strong team, but they just crumble down the stretch. I get that stuff like this can happen in real life as well. But still, it felt like a lot of BS to me. Oh well.

I wonder if this means the manga will end soon. I can't see him doing anything except maybe an international arc or something. We'll see I hope he ends it soon and doesn't continue milking it.

QFT!

As a person that actually loves basketball, the result of this game was a fucking discrace. The other team was so much better in all the areas of the game that it's not even funny and then you are just going to say that fuck it, deux ex point getto and it's over. One thing that this anime needs is missed shots. I don't remember a single shot that Kagami didn't make without being blocked. It's just fucking frustrating to see a person with a field goal percentage allmost 100% but not as frustrating as to see the same person be able to guard a center, a point guard and a shooting guard the way Kagami does it... There is room for losing in sports animes. Just winning through pure asspull just gets me so freaking frustrated and I don't even want to cheer for the "good guys".

It was okay I guess. At least there were no black holes popping out. But I thought that maybe Kuroko would do something interesting. I mean I like what he told Akashi, but he should've done something original instead of the usual pass. That page with all those faces kind of freaked me out a bit. And that page with Kagami going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA is a bit unnecessary...all the A's I mean.
But I can't say I hate it. But the author could've done a better job with that last chapter. Well, at least the match with Rakuzan finally ended after about 40 chapters...

I also had the same thought but this akashi can indeed use or partly use the Emperor's eye. Look at this page: http://www.manga2u.me/Kuroko_no_Basket/271/13/

Here we see akashi reading ahead once again but notice how he notifies his team of it instead of keeping it to himself. The "evil akashi" would not have cared unless hyuga was the man he was marking which in this case he wasn't. Its all so dissapointing since seirin's last play should have been stopped by the emperor eye but I guess Fujimaki could not think of another way.

Actually I really like the ending and it will look better and more exciting when it gets animated ^.^
Seirin should won the match and they did ! And Kuroko's smile in the last page was like boom in your face Akashii !!
But I am really dissapointed that we didn't see Kuroko in the zone :( I hope the manga doesn't finish soon and we will see Kuroko in the zone after maybe against some international players ? That would be awesome *.*

If you were reading the Tensai scanlations, the version where Mayuzumi curses like a sailor, switch to Akashi scans (currently posted by manga2u) now. Tensai took a few artistic liberties that more than subtlely changed the meaning of the dialogue. If you can't be bothered to read the whole thing again, here are the 2 pages that matter:

Good point. But maybe that has nothing to do with EE, just good basketball IQ and tactical sense like Hanamiya. So either Akashi had to switch back to his evil self to perform the ankle break or he could do it all along but chose not to, instead running the offense through his teammates.

Anyway I read that part again. Kagami commented that Kise combined Murasakibara and Akashi to block the phantom shot. Maybe being able to block like Murasakibara is crucial to blocking it, something which Akashi lacks. There's also the height thing. Kise is much taller than Akashi and he has shown that he can dunk from the free throw line so his vertical is at least comparable to season 1 Kagami.

Ahh of course, the height is something i forgot about. Akashi might not have had enough leg strength to reach the pass anyway.

Regarding the Emperors Eye subject, a few pages after he informs mayuzumi, this occurs:

http://www.manga2u.me/Kuroko_no_Basket/271/15/

Midorima confirms he did, in fact, use the emperor eye to support his team. So I believe it would be the latter: Akashi could do it all along but chose not to.

Or maybe he was afraid that by using the EE he would revert to his 'evil' self?

You raise a good point. Akashi doesnt or shouldn't fear that anymore because it was explained in the manga by the real akashi himself that the other akashi will exist so long as he keeps winning. It was his "condition to exist" so to say. So I really dont think that could happen without the real akashi allowing to. Anything at this point is just assumptions tho, well have to wait for more on that.

Or you know, the real Akashi knowing that his split-personality will only exist as long as he keeps on winning, wants to lose now for his long-term health and well-being...

Not likely since Akashi mentioned that the will to win (as in the match) is beyond his control. So wanting to lose is out of the question and im sure he has control now since the other akashi has tasted defeat.

If you want to know where he mentions the will to win part, look here:

Ok , that was kind of forced , it is like the author just realized he forgot Kuroko the whole time now , i will remember this game , the game Kuroko never played.
LOL. I was smiling when I thought Kuroko was going to make the shot, but sigh. Oh well, at least it's over now. Kinda disappointed that Kuroko didn't get much, but as he says, he is a shadow.
