| Well, wasn't that a cute little episode? Mostly. Rudeus' constant perversions aren't funny; they're villainous. Both ways you can cast Rudeus, as an 8-year old and as a boy with the mind of a 30-something year old, are unfavourable for him to make sexual advances on a 10-year old girl. This character foible continues like a cancer, used for cheap unfunny comedy and ruins some genuinely emotional moments. Right there at the end, with his cousin Eris beside him in bed, was a chance for powerful scene. Something intimate in an emotional sense. Instead, the scene was tainted. My greatest fear for Mushoku Tensei is it turns into a harem, rather than a man utilising his 2nd life to the fullest, knowing how much he failed in the 1st. |

No. He's 8 years old. Try using your brain.
8 years in his new child body means that his mental age is already at 42 years old in this episode. GROSS. Unless you think it's normal for newborns to have inner thoughts making sexual remarks about their mother's breast or that 7 years old children are into groping and grooming little girls.
This episode 7 demonstrated that the author doesn't consider MC's creep obsessions as something that needed to be overcome, but instead something that is just a laughing matter for cheap sexual abuse jokes.
| @skysurf This is something many can't comprehend. I, for the life of me, have no idea why the Rudeus is written like this. It's a character foible that he should grow out of. In his first life, he was a complete recluse who only fantasised. In this life, now that he's interacted with multiple girls & women, he should realise how contemptible he was. The sky is the limit with this. Instead, Rudeus continues with the failure of his past life in the present. Its unfunny comedy that robs scenes of some real power. Imagine if every heart-to-heart talk was interrupted by a fart joke. It's the same with the perversion. |

Roxy literally lifted him out of the gutter mentally when it came to going outside and actually trying at life instead of just being a shut in.
if some one had a monumental impact on you're life you might end up worshipping them as well.
also most the time Eris hits him he kinda deserved it. so strike on Eris.
that's kinda common for nobility.
if you think that's weird in France when prince Louis XVI got married they all watched him have sex with the perosn he married
considering the spoilers are all under spoiler tags they would have to bring it on themselves.

| @GrimAtrament Fine line between becoming enamoured with a woman because of gratitude and worshipping her underwear. All the unfunny pervert moments detract from what would otherwise be emotionally touching moments. In this very episode there is such one. Rudeus wakes up next to Eris. This is the most bare they've ever been before each other. It's the perfect opportunity for real emotional intimacy. What happens? Perversion. Please laugh. Moving on. It's so juvenile. Rudeus wasted his first life being a failure of a man. If the writing here was good (which it sometimes is), Rudeus would start with a seriously distorted view of women from living as a hikikomori. As he grows as a man, he would come to value them as more than just objects to lust for. He's grown close to multiple women now, with a close friendship with Slyphette being noteworthy, because she didn't want the revelation that she's a woman ruining the friendship. Rudeus witnessed firsthand with Paul's infidelity the damage lust can do to relationships and onto others. In other avenues, Redeus has improved from who he was at the beginning of the story. Yet nothing changes here, and it's detrimental to what the story could be. Anime gets inundated with this awful writing that it's become normalcy without a second thought from many of the audience. The entire Isekai aspect is pretty horribly done as well, with people accepting it without a second thought because of how common the concept is at the moment. |

| The dance was pretty, and its nice to see Eris beat expectations, but the entire outcome and episode was very predictable. 2.5/5 |
