| Where was the old guy when the people in the temple were killed? Nezuko is so sweet, he needs to feed her soon. They should have fed her some of those dead people while they had a chance. I have a super strong sense of smell too, but detecting traps with it is a stretch. I wish they'd gone with something different. |

| To be fair with Tanjirou, he seems not having too much idea about Demons and never killed anyone before. I hope there will be a development that will make him stronger throughout the series |

| Well, I wasn't expecting the episode to be so light-hearted right at the start, especially considering the heavy episode that it was the 1st episode. Anyways, we got to see a bit more of Tenjiro's determination to take of his sister, which is beautiful to see, and also their interactions, although it's still weird how his sister is just a demon now :( The episode quickly got dark when they went past a temple where they found a demon, and Tenjiro got attacked by it, but didn't recognize Nezuko as a demon right away, which is interesting to note. I loved the detail that they made Nezuko salivate when she saw the dead corpses, showing that she for sure has the demon instincts of eating human flesh, but is trying to control herself, and what made her not eat those corpses was, for sure, hearing her brother having a difficult time. Also, demons are for sure though to beat, even without a head they are able to continue fighting. Also, it was kind of cute when Nezuko grabbed Tenjiro from that fall. That master for sure was making Tenjiro's life a lot harder, from day one giving him such a test. Also, I was getting kinda confused how his smell abillity (I guess I'll call it that) was helping him with the traps, so thank you for the explanation Anime. And in fact the master knew about that, so that must be why he chose that test. Anyway, one big question bothers me, that is: what exactly does Nezuko eat now? She isn't eating humans, nor is she eating anything apparentaly, since Tenjiro doesn't take the restraint from her mouth. So, she doesn't need to eat anything? I guess they'll end up explaing more about the demons in the future, but I think that's important to know. I also wonder if the fact that Nezuko is still very human like in her mentality has anything to do with the fact she hasn't eaten any human flesh, and if she ends up eating it, she will further transform into a demon. There's honestly a lot of questions in need to be answered, so I'll just need to wait I guess. But it's a promising anime, it made me feel something, so that's a good sign that it's going to be a good anime, having such impactful first 2 episodes is the right way to go for the anime. I just really hope this ends with Tenjiro saving his sister, it would just feel sad if he ends up alone or if Nezuko isn't able to become human again, because she seemed like such a sweet and caring girl, that gave up on basic necessities so that her brothers could eat more :( Now, if you think about it, it's kind of cruel how the creator of the anime made Tenjiro have 5 brothers, and make them all get killed (with the exception of Nezuko, that turns into a demon), alongside the mother too, that's brutal, and let's not talk of how one of them was still a baby, and their father died some time ago too. Also, the old man from episode 1, that was all alone, his family also muct have gotten all killed by a demon, no? Let's see if the anime keeps up with a relevant plot, or if after these 2 promising episodes, it will start dragging the story and just have a basic storytelling. The expectations are high, due to how so many people talk about this anime, but since it's also a bit controversial, I don't know. |
