Solid finale episode. Good thing there's a Movie to look forward to this time unlike the previous go, lol. Lol, the show pretty much just acknowledging Michiru's absence for nearly the entirety of the season was hilarious. But got to give it to Eriri's reaction to Utaha-senpai's assertiveness there, xD. Gold. And then there's Megumi proving clearly why she's best girl and deserves the world. All in all, just the final episode to close this chapter. A chapter which has had its ups and downs but fitting nonetheless. Some of the Drama aspects in my opinion were a little half-baked but I enjoyed my fill, lol. Finally, off to Fine ~ (Fi-ney) now. |

A fitting ending for this season's finale. Katou was really amazing in this episode and it seemed that she has fallen for Aki. And now Izumi is also attending the same school as Aki lol!! But this episode's MVP was Utaha senpai and we all know why!! Now, time to watch the Movie!! |

rewatched the whole thing after I finished the movie sequel, now a lot of things made more sense to me since I don't feel as annoyed as when I watched it back then due to this drama Like why Megumi cut her hair into short hair style again, why Megumi acted as a heroine once more (the previous one being the start of their first game proposal at s1 eps 3) all the way until that fated hill, why Megumi didn't hug him when he was crying, why Megumi said that hat was the exact same thing but also different, why Utaha acted that way, why Eriri decides to leave his side, why Izumi showed up at the epilogue... well, that crying scene really solidified their relationship and this whole drama arc was really well made to cut all his harem just to solidify the true main heroine path. |

I didn't expect episode 11 to be the last episode for this season, but the ending was fine. I loved the kiss scene between Utaha and Tomoya. Utaha is favorite but Megumi is definitely the best girl for this season. I am confident Tomoya will choose Megumi instead of Utaha. |

The Megumi-Tomoya date this time around was really good, one of my favorite parts of the show I'd say in its entirety. The chemistry they've developed together throughout the show was on full display this time around as Megumi not only tries to cheer Tomoya up, but also try her best to be the main heroine Tomoya desired for his new project, basically telling him that she's not going to give up on Blessing Software despite their most important members to creating the game leaving in Utaha and Eriri. Tomoya was also reinspired too to keep on going and do his best, by creating a legendary game even without the two of them. Plus the Tomoya kiss with Utaha while he ran to the station to send both her and Eriri off was jokes. She took his first, as they say. They're all sad that they have to leave each other for a while and would really be the end of the circle for Utaha and Eriri's involvements, but Tomoya's rooting for them regardless like a real friend who's passionate about otaku culture regardless, so he'd play the hell out of a great game by them no matter what. Now that Izumi is in the same school as him and potentially could join Blessing Software to replace Eriri there, and since Tomoya is planning on writing the scenarios of the game by himself with the help of Megumi, there is a future with Blessing Software for now and they're all looking forward to that direction. Good finale to what's been a season similar to the first except more extreme I'd say when it comes to its quality - the high points were much higher and the low points were much lower so evens itself out to about a 5/10 for me. Megumi continues to really impress me so much as the heroine of this show, I'm amazed that I found her to be really boring when I first saw it in 2017. But better late than never. Excited to rewatch the movie now since I'm even more in admiration of the determination and dedication she's shown throughout the show (despite some pettiness with Tomoya at times this season) and even when I found her to be indifferent, I loved her in the movie when I saw it. So I'm excited to see this movie completely outclass the rest of the show by miles. |

This date was nostalgic even Katou has her game on and her personality and reactions are just blooming right now So Tomoya met them before leaving on the train and their reactions were pricelessly identical, Utaha taking the kiss from Eriri and as his first Eriri's rage was just hilarious I fairly enjoyed that walking with Katou to school and seeing Tomoya wearing what looks like Eriri's glasses even Katou got a good chuckle from that, Glad to see Izumi back at least at the end and Michiru at least a bit of screen time well I guess that's that time to watch the movie. Well that was a nice continuation season for the 1st one this seemed kind of fun and I'm not gonna lie I enjoyed every part of it and the drama and the romance are just good this was yet another nice watch. |

During the first episodes of the first season (don't even have to mention the fan service episode that it starts off on), I thought we were into a below average, mediocre-at-best series with flat, boring, even annoying characters who had nothing going for them other than some typical gimmick anime character traits. And I still kind of felt that way at the end of the first season. Couldn't have been more wrong. Lengthy set up, taking a whole season, but I think the real meat is here in season 2. The punches that have been lacking, the emotional beats, the realism that wasn't there in S1 are now here, in "Flat". Basically I think it's strangely mature, or perhaps realistic would be a more adequate term to describe this. It's not the end yet, but I dig the way S2 ends and the events leading up to it. Lots of people are apparently feeling extreme betrayal. While it is totally understandable, I don't see it that way. I see this ending as, well, being real. It's not your typical feel-good looking type of slice of life or whatever. In fact I don't know what genre exactly to place this in. But you have to agree that this feels different from your typical slice of life or whatever genre that this is supposed to be in anime. Only a very small handful of stragglers are probably going to read this but basically I ended up really liking this season and it's leagues better than the first, which I remember to be adequate at best when I watched it around a year ago. Maybe my mind would change if I rewatched S1, but from what I remember it wasn't that great at all. S2, or "flat", however, got me in the feels a bit. It's always a joy to find anime that are pretty good when you expect next to nothing from them. Now gonna binge watch all of sex education season 3 before watching the Fine this anime tomorrow or the day after that. Cheers! |

Poor Eriri. Too slow to act again. Utaha stole Tomoya's kiss. It's unbelievable he still hasn't fallen for Utaha at that point. I guess he's just incredibly dense. lol It's not bad, but incredibly dense protagonists annoys me a little bit. 7/10 |

4/10 Fuck this season, FUCK this ending, while I don't think this season was truly a 4.0, I m very displeased, I usually rate stuff higher than most, not this time. I m mad salty, was, even more, when I finished the last 2 episodes, right now I just feel oddly calm, it has settled in that Eririn and Utaha did that shit and have dropped tremendously in my scale, I have accepted that, and no matter what the writer does, I won't go back, this is how you destroy 2 characters that were like favorites to me previously, but at least Katou doesn't suck and is worth it of being the sole focus now, she graduated just fine. Took me so long to finish S2, took me a long time to start S2 too, since I saw S1 just a bit after it came out on BD, in 2016, I just wait to wait for stuff, and I really liked S1 after finishing it, I considered it a really enjoyable series, I dragged season 2 this much, only to see ep5-11, unware such fuckery was waiting for me, fuck me. Nainakawaii said: No, This episode end up in LN vol.7 and LN vol.12 is latest volume, Kato still has short hair That is rather unfornate, I like her the best with long hair... Nat_Ortiz said: What did kato say at the very end? I believe she may have been expressing her feelings, giving a sneak attack, something along the lines I like you, something definitely embarrassing she could not normally say. MxS7HGS said: Poor Eriri. Too slow to act again. Utaha stole Tomoya's kiss. It's unbelievable he still hasn't fallen for Utaha at that point. I guess he's just incredibly dense. lol It's not bad, but incredibly dense protagonists annoys me a little bit. 7/10 Serves her right, she dropped too many points in my scale, especially when episodes 5-6 were building her so well, I also have to give Utaha shit for her decisions these last episodes, but I can agree that a normal person would have given up a long time ago, she just pushed it too much, if it were me, it would have ended on the bed long ago, but this is what you get with pussy MCs, and he was retarded to a fault till the end, I can't go along with how he accepted both of what they did just like that, real people don't work like that. If anything, Katou's early reaction in this episode was what one would expect, and I m proud that she at least had the balls to vent like that, be true to what she felt at the time, it sucks major the writer had to sacrifice two characters I previously enjoyed a lot, to give Katou the spotlight, he did NOT need to do that, episode 8 already sold me on Katou. Magito said: Finally done. The first half good, but later half with the overblown drama it went downhill from there. While I understand they had to betray him so they can grow, I can't help but hate them for betraying Tomoya, especially they didn't talk to him about for over a month. The least they can do is tell him early. Even though Utaha kissed him didn't make her likable anymore. After the hardships they've gone through and the bonds they made, them suddenly leaving. Its just saddening. A acquaintance of mine already spoiled me by telling the MC will get NTR or betrayed in this. That leaves best girl Kato. 7/10 I can't feel any sadness at all, just loathe for them. The writer is to blame, I do feel like this drama could have worked, and feel more realistic if they had done it like proper people that respect each other, but the lack of communication was on purpose so the audience could be more shocked, and I loathe the writer for this, I really dislike this, he could have pulled this drama in ways that would have not destroyed either of the characters to me, but still giving it some emotional weight, pure betrayal, good riddance. TBH I still enjoyed seeing them both on the scene, I can't hate them fully, in a way I can't hate them to the core, because the writer fucked it up, both were just his tools for this fuckery, definitely have a lot of mixed feelings about it. They can come with it is the industry and all, but Akane was the BITCH, and these two fully aware of what they were doing, still choose to worst way to go about it. Also, the fucking logic that Eriri suddenly can't draw any longer is retarded, like Aki was only taking in account her well-being because he was very fond of her, this is how she repays that. He got cocked because he was dumb, what he should have done was, push her more, bash her, spice her on, tease her, or whatever, so she would have not lost her motivation like that... PURE TRASH DUMB LOGIC. Hi_I_am_Ed said: My first reaction to the last 3 episodes was really really annoyed. Probably the first time in a long time I got actually angry about writing in a show. I will condence it here: The reason I reacted this way in the first place was the writing up to this point. I liked pretty much all the characters in the main cast a lot. Which never happens usually. All of them seemed to be very friendly to each other and (obviously in a harem series) """in love""". The characterization of the two ladies, that broke off was completly thrown out of the window for (IMO) pushing on with the story, because it seems the writer wasn't sure, how the "main girl" would win in any shape or form if they didn't do something batshit insane. I lamented the way they did things, not that they did it. The MC would have supported them in a heartbeat, if they were just honest with him. I will go into the (imo intentional) NTR-Feel many people felt when those episodes and the volumes in the LN came out in my spoiler section below.* The producer character herself was shown earlier in this sesaon, but never actually mentioned, other than that she was the driver that helped the MC get to Eriris place. The big disney-villain grin already felt really off to me, when I saw it the first time. I knew, that this was bad news, because up to this point there was no "real" one dimentional villain in the series. The way she acts in the anime itself was cringey to the max. As if producer and bosses of creative people HAVE to act this way to get the job done (spoiler - in the real world this is 99% of the time a way to nuke your team, if you act this way). The fact the MC forgives them the day after? a week after (????) instantly, even in the LN Utaha does this WILLINGLY to break things off with him - thats why she tells him, that he doesnt let her leave, when he comes to see them off at the train station Only to make it obsolet like a volume later Now to the small Manga Spoiler for "Girls Side Vol 2" Utaha calls the MC a shit producer, without ever trying to talk to him normally. She even calls him a "Clown-Kun" in the scene Eriri begins to draw again (Episode 9, but in the manga). Does this actually sound like love? I am not so sure - but ok. Going into more in the LN Spoiler Section *LN Spoiler ahead, talking about writing In the LN Utaha shits on the MC in her mind, while seeing Eriri draw. Honestly I am still not sure, when Utaha started to prefer Eriri over the MC, because she was never the tsundere character and shat on Eriri all the time up to that point. However the biggest thing I mentioned earlier was the fact, that many people had a "NTR"-Feeling, when reading this. Having read the LN (after watching the anime), I am certain, that this was the most important factor, the writer had in mind. Utaha mentiones NTR-ish things the volume after at least two times towards the MC, making it clear, that the writer WANTED to make the reader feel cucked. Which might be a good way to subvert expectations, but the way he had the characters setup felt EXACTLY how it was - a cheap trick to get people mad and talking about the author (and hey - it worked somewhat, seems like he got a lot of shit in the fanbase back when the LN came out as well). Seeing how the LN ends (Kato winning by default - being the only one who did not abandon the MC at any point, and supporting him, even tho he is a selfish prick later in the story), I just feel, that the author got sick of writing a harem series halfway through and wasn't sure how to get the story going otherwise, so that the main-heroine (kato) could actually win. Because let's be honest - all three were all very much liked by their fanbase and there was no obvious "ship" going up to that point, because all three were "best girls" in their own way. Episode 9 and 10 TANKED my enjoyment of the show and made me angry, because I felt like the writer himself went into my screen and told me, that everything up to this point was pointless and thanks for watching NTR, Anime Edition. ^NTR usually doesn't bother me, because there is almost never enough time to actually get to know the characters. "Saenai Heroine" had such likeable girl-characters, I actually cared about what they did and when they acted in a way they actually overcame (Eriri learning from the past and such) a season ago, only for some cheap drama, that in the long run didn't matter much, made me angry. Overall I never felt so mixed about a series in my life honestly. There were some I hated, some I loved and many I didn't get invested much. Saenei Heroine managed to get me invested and did what it did to it. Now, with this 30000000. Edit I will leave Saenei Heroine and got off my chest, what bothered me the most about it. I gave the author the benefit of the doubt and read the whole LN and the Girls Side Manga so I could understand, if I missed something important. I didn't. I had a few things I wrote about in the post before, but I don't want to make it even more complicated (mostly stuff about characters doing things, that did not "feel good" to the reader/viewer in other media, but made sense for the character, which the betrayal in this series did not.) There is no redeeming for what the writer did, but the fact that he did such a thing on the LN, to them dissolve it on the following volume, what a pussy. BTW how did you manage to read the LN, can you read Japanese perhaps? If so, can you give me an idea of what LN volumes does the final move adapt, and if it was just fine to skip all the volumes they did, and then skipping to the end for the movie? I read up this S2 ends on vol7 of the LN after all, still a lot to go, surely the movie cant cover it all, but I can forgive it, if what they choose to skip was just going to make me hate it even more... Also, I appreciated your perspective on things, and I m glad at least this fuck move was also hated in the Japanese community when vol.7 came out, the writer doesn't deserve less than that, and I feel your take about his reasoning is quite right. XadowMonzter said: With this season now im 100% going to cheer for Kato to stay with Tomoya. The other two don't deserve to stay by his side anymore. I know that they wouldn't grow working with Tomoya as much as they would with that famous game, but it wasn't necessary for them to "hide" themselves for like more than a month without saying anything to him knowing or at least having a hunch that he was planning to do something else, and it wasn't going to be something for his sake and more for a memory of all of them working together to make something special and share it. If they did get together and talked it out, it could have been a way better outcome than that, especially that Tomoya is a big game addicted he would probably convince them to work in that game in the first place. It would almost fall in the same situation as Tomoya deciding for himself to give up the final stuff in their gaming for Eriri's health without talking at the least with Kato. That type of anger would be the most acceptable, because she wasn't angry because of what he did, but more because of what he didn't do, which was not talking to her in the first place. It would even be interesting to see a scene of him remembering Kato and finally realizing how painful it was for someone deciding something on his back without even talking it out first. They flat out betrayed him because something better showed up, I definitely wouldn't call them loyal or even matter friends. If the author doesn't understand the impact something like this would do in reality he doesn't really know what the hell he is writing, to begin with. I wouldn't be able to forgive as soon as Tomoya did, and for sure the friendship wouldn't be the same anymore because it was not like that they needed money, or it was their only chance to grow and etc, it could take longer but those two are successful beginners and not accepting that job wouldn't harm their lives, maybe in the case of Utaha would a little at first but nothing big, still they did it. I really hope that some mess happens because if this, I can't just accept this all "goodie goodie" ending. A mess I would mean Tomoya distancing himself from those two because they are working on different stuff and getting close to Kato, really close, or the new artist in the team evolving as much as Eriri's just to show that it wasn't necessary to do what she did to grow. Anyways, this season kind of bothered me a lot with what happen, so i'm just venting out a little. Your venting was much appreciated, you spoke clearly what I wanted to say, bravo. I m with you on this, and it seems it ends to be true, they cant not expect him to fancy for them after this, Katou clearly won after this, they lost their opportunity here in how they choose to do it, the writer really wanted to make us root for Katou after all. I find it "amusing" they still seem to have hopes in getting into a relationship with him, maybe Utaha could have a chance, but never Eriri IMO, you destroyed any chances, many years of knowing him since childhood, and secretly harboring these feelings, this is how you fuck up all of that, the outcome you will get is the minimum of Karma you deserve. If I have to be real, my score would be way closer to what yours was, after digesting all of this bullshit, but I gotta make a stand here, this was PURE SHIT, the drama could have had me way more invested and feeling emotional, without utterly destroying 2 characters I liked, like this. I m expecting to like the movie way more, maybe I will be able to forgive them a bit, and just tolerate them more then. Everything said, the writer wrote White Album 2 VN, I hope he doesn't pull such a tasteless forced drama there, because I want to read that VN one day, and I have high expectations, but also some worries, after seeing him doing this arc soo disgustingly so. |

One thing is certain, I will never forget what the writer did here, such a cheap way to only create more drama, when the subject could have been way better handled. |

The ending has it all again, the shopping date with Kato, revisiting the first time they went there, then Tomoya bursting into tears, and Kato nearly reaching out to him to comfort him. Why did she hold back? Because he needed to figure this out on his own? The scene at the trains station was emotional too, but also funny, with Eriri being scared of Tomoya thinking he could never forgive her for leaving the circle, and then Utaha stealing that kiss, lmao. And both missing the train as result. Some 4th wall breaking when Utaha and Eriri talked to Michu about not having appeared the second half, lol |

You think that cheap station drama will redeem the things or will let anyone see Utaha and Eriri in new light? Absolutely not. Also I was just thinking when we'd get the obligatory "Tomoyo accepting the apologies and wishing them luck" gonna come, to no one's disappointment it did in last few minutes and.. I'm not sure if I should be glad about predicting one scene damn right or furious about them still having the audacity to throw this on our face after what happened in last two episodes. Date with Megumi saved this episode and this season as a whole as some last minute savior but I'm afraid her lack of screen time as compared to the rest of two girls won't save this season from a low score. Plus some uncalled melodrama. Plus plus episode 9 and 10. 5/10. Same as last season, though it should be lower than this but I like Megumi and how she became so expressive throughout the course of these 20 odd episodes, so... next is movie then. |

God, this anime had so much potential to be good, but it just turned to crap by the end. I feel like I’m watching a different show to everyone who thought this ending was good. This had more pointless drama than even the most melodramatic 60 episode kdramas out there. Personally, I’m someone who puts an enormous value on loyalty, so I just despise Utaha and Eriri. People will say “it’s immature to make them stay and prevent them from following their dreams and opening up new career paths!”. But it was the way the relationships were set up, the past events between the characters, and the way they went about it in accepting the offer and treating Tomoya. This could have easily gone in a much more positive manner, and I’m SURE if they did it appropriately, Aki would be happy to encourage them to follow their dreams. Eriri, after receiving the offer, could have gone something along the lines of: "Tomoya, I received an offer to be an artist for one of the top game developers of the country. This is such a big stepping stone for me and is something I believe can further help me grow and improve as an artist. I haven't accepted the offer yet, but I plan to, and wanted to share and discuss this with you beforehand as I won't be able to commit to Blessing Software, at least in the near future". But they didn’t. I know that this doesn't exactly fit Eriri (and I'm applying my real world logic here), but what really happened in the show makes less sense. In the end we just have Eriri crying about betraying Aki (again, and despite saying she would NEVER accept the offer) and leaving him in the dark for a month despite knowing he had a new game he wanted to make and wanted her as the artist, and Utaha just being absolutely pathetic as to being angry at how she was viewed at by Akane, but still joining for the sake of Eriri. F*ck that. Who would want to acquaint themselves with people such as this who have such bizarre lines of thinking. If I was in their position, I would never even consider betraying someone who I have such a personal relationship with - even if it meant the cost of all the fame and fortune in the world. The only explanation I could come up for this is that the writer just wanted us to root for Megumi so she made the other two plain unlikeable. Of course Aki is also so quick to forgive those two. We just need a positive ending, don't we? Idc if they “redeem” themselves in the movie or not, I just cannot stand people like that. And I’m sure that god-awful character Akane will appear in it as well. I usually should not get this overworked by a work of fiction, but I think this makes me frustrated because it's as if the author plays off the terrible decisions made by Eriri and Utaha - as if they aren't that big a deal, and are things people should not be bothered by and can easily overcome. When in reality, this is just an awful thing to do. I could easily see myself in Tomoya's position and even if I were a saint, I would have difficulty forgiving those two. Just terrible. Not even assed to watch the movie now, but if I did, it’d only be for the Megumi and Aki ship. Megumi is literally the saving grace of this anime. She’s too good for this show. |

my jaw dropped when utaha kissed tomoya. even if it was for comedic purposes that came outta nowhere. glad to see everyone made up and everything is back to normal. the date was nice, the hill scene was nice but i don't have the slightest idea why katou cut her hair again. she was starting to look like man heroine too but putting the hairs aside she has become a lot more cute and charming in just one year all while not losing her original self which is the best thing ever. not sure how this story gonna be wraped up in a single movie now or does this not have a complete adaptation? if not i'm gonna be seriously disappointed and sad. overall, 9/10. |
The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama. Feeling half happy, half sad. Kawaii waifus and precious best girls <3333 |

I found it the episode full of drama and suspense, but i really loved that kiss scene in the train station because i feel that the girls really lacked "drive" in some parts of the series when they could have attempted intimate action with Tomoya. This time it was finally great to actually see one through instead of just have line and lines and lines of dialog. however in the first season it was OK but by the beginning of the second it starts to loose its initial flair . however that kiss was the flair of the episode so i think it really saved it from just being mediocre. However i am really excited to watch the movie and see where the story goes! your hobby is about passion and your passion should guide you in life and you should do what makes you happy! Pretty wild final episode lol, from a wholesome date to a unexpected kiss moment o: Utaha was kinda down bad lmao, and they really missed that train too. Izumi getting into their school sheesh, she would probably end up joining Tomoya's doujin circle if the story were to continue. Getting out last fourth wall break at the end too sheesh, kinda wondered where Michiru was too lol. Welp, looks like I got the final movie to watch after this, rip. |

The second season of this anime really had a deeper feel and meaning to it, where everyone is beset with the harsh reality of life. Truly a rollercoaster of emotions. |

Well played Katou! 🥰 lmao, the end bit was hilarious, and lewd. 😖😖😖 P.S. New ending song was epic! Another thing, it would've been nice if they made a 3rd season than a movie... 🥲 |

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

I liked most of the things, beside one thing being too dramatic, but the happy ending fixed that. The story was better than first season and more original now. Some funny jokes and situations in last episode at least. |
(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ちゅっ ちゅっ キス (´。✪ω✪。`) I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;) |
