This episode was brilliant in protraying PTSD and panic. It certainly caught me off gaurd. It is also interesting to see that Aqua assumed Ruby is over it but in episodes from season 1 I think she really isn't, like when she said "Mama" when Akane was acting like her.

Akane putting the dots together and offering her support was also lovely. I think it is what he needs. Glad to see how everything pans out from here. Also hope to see more from Ruby, I miss her.

Incredible that it took three episodes to have Abiko and GOA finally discussing the play's script via videocall. Something so simple yet it took this much time to happen...

On other news, Akane could seriously solve Ai's murder case in record time with that deduction power. What a scary girl.

So... is Aqua gonna use his trauma to force that "emotional response" out of him during his performance in the play? Like mentally replacing Akane's Saya with Ai? Because that would be crazy.

Great episode. At the beginning, Abiko-Sensei finishes the revisions, and even though I hoped to see them, everyone seems pretty happy and excited about Tokyo Blade. The episode improves from the middle onward. The way Aqua's trauma about not being able to smile is shown and explained adds a lot of depth to his character. And when Akane connects the dots at the end and realizes Aqua's backstory, it's truly impressive. I like this adaptation even more than the manga.

HOLY SHIT AKANE FIGURED IT OUT

goa and her making a new scriptt hat is hard but good at the same time so there's progress there. as for aqua, ptsd came into play with the emotional acting and it looks like his gf knows about whats going on via deduction

The problem with the script finally passed by and now Aqua is having troubles with some acting. He got a lil ptsd reaction there from Arima, and with her advice, he probably has some clues on how to improve. His trauma sure runs deep though rip. Akane was surely able to connect some dots at the end. Also I ship Aqua and Akane super hard for this series lol, I have a feeling they won't be together in the end though, sadge.

Never ending plan to watch list...

Loved this episode. Little biased as it’s been like 3 weeks since I last saw it I think but love it. Sweet that GOA and the author finally made up but the second half with Aqua was incredible. Love that they really acknowledge how damaging it was for Aqua and that Akane is seeing the connections. Really curious how this will play out. And who that blonde dude and white haired kid from the opening are.

It's not Kana's fault that Aqua's PTSD was triggered. After all, she is unlikely to have been unaware of what he had to go through. Also, her technique is dangerous if you had a traumatic experience

What I really like about Akane is that, even if she only knew Aqua recently, she was able to penetrate his psyche and realise that Ai is her biological mother as Aqua.

Kana faces <3

I love how Aqua has an entire segment of trying to remember happy memories being focused on Kana <3

That last part was great. I almost got teary along with Akane. Remembering everything that happened... the pain that our siblings went through.

Even now, we miss Ai. Really, what could've been.

Once again love Abiko's character. Glad she talked it out with them and yep without any shitty intermediatory this time they were on the same page and hit it off. But now the script is highly reliant on the actors portrayal of events so the actors will have to give their best.

Second half with Kana bringing out Aqua's ptsd and then Akane realising the truth was great. Love Akane. Anyone who still had doubts why Akane is the best girl, well now you have your answer.

Akane back at it again with her psychoanalysis, she's already figured out the twins are Ai's children now. Master detective indeed.

Also, it's heartwarming seeing Goa and Abiko having fun working on their new Tokyo Blade script together. She actually showed some maturity listening to Sensei's advice.

10/10 episode, definitely the most emotional so far this season with Aqua's PTSD. He'll need to channel that into his emotional acting, which will obviously be tough for him.

Best episode so far, it´s starting to go down; oh and Akane <3
As long as I can make them laugh, it doesn’t matter how, I’ll be alright. If I succeed in that, the human beings probably won’t mind it too much if I remain outside their lives. The one thing I must avoid is becoming offensive in their eyes: I shall be nothing, the wind, the sky.

Really nice episode, love how it focused on the pstd aspect on aqua's character. also akane finding everything out with just a couple hints was cool too. There cooking I remember reading the manga and I loved the arc looks like the anime knows what there doing.

Abiko liked the play and Raida understood Aqua’s hint. So he went ahead and negotiated with her to work online with GOA. DAMN, he’s too funny in this episode.

Abiko and GOA hit it off as soon as the middlemen were removed. They had such a great time rewriting the script.

Every other cast is happy with the new script, but Aqua finds it hard to implement. As Arima pointed out, he’s not good at emotional acting. When he asks Arima for advice on crying, she’s happy but what she says next is triggering to Aqua. He tries to find a happy memory, and it stops on Ruby, only to have his demon crawling back.

Aqua doesn’t want Ruby to know about it as she’s moving on. He stays over at Gotanda’s place, and I just remembered that he’s the only one that knows Aqua is Ai’s son.

Akane was accompanying an asleep Aqua when she heard him mention Ai. That made her brain connect the dots that Aqua and Ruby are Ai’s children. When he wakes up, she vaguely tells him that she’ll support him.

Amazing episode. The traumatic scenes were very disturbing. I felt Aqua's pain there. Also, Akane's detective skills are off the charts. She thought of all that right there on the spot.

I see those first two episodes were setup, boring setup but necessary to get to where we are now. Seeing Aqua in this state is certainly a gutpunch and Akane seemingly figuring out his secret should lead to interesting place. At least this should lead somewhere, how can she figure this out but remain distant? His panic attack should give Aqua a push too to figure out who the killer is.

Wonder how long the manga will continue, hope the previous episode talking about never ending a popular manga doesn't play into this work as well, doesn't need to be meta. If there is still plenty of places for the story to go okay but hopefully won't be dragged out unnecessarily.

Looks like Akane finally learns the truth.

It's heartbreaking to see Aqua relive that moment in his head, even more so when he's been enduring it alone.

Once Goa and Abiko got on the same page they completely shredded that script! With a show that will now rely more upon the acting of its cast instead of the writing of the source material, it's really make or break for our characters. It's understandable Aqua is traumatized and therefore closed off, but this too is something he knows he must do for his goals. I'm curious on how this will shake out for him.

A positive is Akane's super smart detective brain already put all the pieces together and is comforting him, but I just get a vibe that Aqua still won't be healthy about the way he goes about dealing with his trauma. That'd mean no more revenge plot after all!

This was by far the best episode so far, I really enjoyed it and it finally had me captivated again like the first season did.

I love how Akane knew to figure out that Ai is Aqua’s mom. She was so empathetic and sweet about it, it honestly touched me.

Also little side note: I loved Kana’s outfit this episode, she looked great (as usual :p)

Wow, Akane figured it out quickly though I feel like it won't change much from this point, I mean, I guess she won't bring it up again to avoid triggering another PTSD attack.

Also can understand Aqua's pain, it was surely a shocking turn of events. Damn, I miss Ai's light:(
