I am sorry to call it trash. Of course, it's not trash. But this was the big moment of this season and now it's kinda ruined. I am talking about E-16,17 (and probably 18). I really liked the animation style this season, especially when we think of star vessel arc fights. But this here shat on all of that. This seems like an unfinished edit, clearly visible to a technical (unbiased) eye. The color transition was basic, perspectives were off, and frames were missing in bunches. I could even see a bit of dialogue overlay at times, just to avoid motion in stills.
Indeed SDS was a consolidated trash, but we are talking about JJK here. Toho can give it to any of the welcoming studios. The animators won't have a choice if one studio has all the star titles. Every employee wants to add stars to their CVs and this is the final product--Something that people are raving about, just to show virtual support to the animators. I am afraid it's just gonna be worse for them as studios don't/won't care.

| I've never been one to like long action sequences. Most people do and probably have been loving this, I wish I were you But if any other person is similar to me and reading this, you ain't alone. Multiple episodes of pretty much pure fighting, with minimal talking scenes and the narrator popping in with forced exposition. I'm bored out of my head |

That is just the artstyle tho? It is done on purpose. It was so fucking smooth, you can not say it is ugly. Might as well call the whole mob psycho anime ugly just cuz it's less detailed.
And do not get me wrong i am not saying everything else was not great, this one was just unique af, something u would not expect in a jjk eps.
| @MrElias Mob Psycho is quite ugly, yes, regardless of the stylistic choice being intentional or not - otherwise, an anime with stick people and very basic backgrounds would have to be seen as pretty, as long as it was smooth. |

| This season is pretty mid so far with this lackluster animation and art. It feels like MAPPA is not trying hard anymore like in the past. Their whole manpower gone to that mid CSM and result is here, a mediocre 2nd season of JJK. Now ppl will start to whine and will say MAPPA didnt had a time to deliver 2nd season, that is not a excuse, if you can't manage to deliver it, you must delay or abondon the project. With this pace MAPPA is becoming MADHOUSE 2.0 with their shit ton of animes to animete. Its no wonder the last director of JJK left the studio. |

| With Gojo gone, I thought Nanami was gonna fill in his shoes as the hype guy(and by that, I mean someone who just glues your attention to the screen) but no, it's the antagonist instead for me, Sukuna. Not unexpected but still. |

| I didn't think the Yuji Vs Choso fight would get eclipsed in terms of animation, but in a way, the fight between Sukuna and Jogo did just that! =) Before that, the battle between Megumi and Toji was pretty crazy as a whole. I do like how the rabbits that Megumi summoned were trying to unleash kung fu moves on Toji, which failed obviously, but the way that the fight ended was a bit of a surprise. Still, Toji killed himself with full satisfaction about Megumi didn't take the Zenin name. It's just a shame that the blond ponytailed bastard that Nanami throttled is STILL around and slashed Megumi in the back, although looking at the final scene in this episode, that guy will finally get his just desserts. Sukuna vs Jogo was spectacular from start to finish. The animation felt familiar to Mob Psycho 100, which seems to be the case after seeing the staff that helped make the animation for this episode's fights, as it was fast paced, but god damn beautiful at the same time. While Jogo did lose the fight and was killed off, he at least went out after giving it his all, which Sukuna did praise him as one of the better opponents that he has fought in his life. A worthy compliment indeed. |

| What I just love about JJK is the reaction of other characters in presence of Sukuna. The sheer terror of Jogo and the girls in the last episode, the way he commanded 4 sorcerers while a meteor was going their way. Similar with how sorcerers felt Gojo even when he was a kid. The sheer power of the two op characters. Just love it! The fight/chase between Megumi and Toji would have been more in spotlight if what followed it wasn't an epic showdown. Toji is a freaking beast, I'm not surprised his popularity grew so fast in the few episodes he was in. Sukuna v Jogo was where the budget went, not surprised. The whole event felt cinematic. One of my favourite bits was Jogo picking up his jaw and Sukuna taunting him. 'Gambare gambare~'. Freaking savage! In the game of fire, the curse with fire specialty still lost to the king. I'm not sure if I could answer which fight was my favourite if someone was to ask me. And we still have more to go. I know we all hate Mahito, but Haruto is someone I hate more. At least Mahito is fun strong. . . |
