Not as good as the manga, but this episode is still emits a doom and gloom aura. I disliked how the anime removes the scene where Hohenheim was teaching the other slaves in his town. And in the manga, Slave # 23 was mopping the laboratory of his master. When that scene was shown in the manga, it totally reminds me of Disney's Fantasia 2 cause Mickey Mouse was also a slave mopping the floor of his master's laboratory. Removing these bits and pieces might be my only gripe. After all, I do like how the anime shows the master stated that Hohenheim kind of like graduated from mastering alchemy. This is a fascinating episode nevertheless and one that's supposed to be remembered!

I'm glad they finally revealed the connection between Father and Hoenheim because it would have been frustrating had they kept it secret until the very end
With this revelation however, I'm not sure how Father had a hard time remembering Hoenheim when Alphonse mentioned his name considering they share some type of alchemical blood connection

Also it seems like this "Dawrf in a Jar" character is the first homunculus since he's Father but I thought Selim said he's the first homunculus

I really like the dialogue between Riza and Mustang... she realized that Selim was watching her through the shadows so she and Mustang communicated through a code... I thought at first it was a code for "don't ask anything about yesterday's call" but it turned out to be a sentence..

Now that Olivier has Raven's position in her hands, I can't wait to see her game to mess with Central from the inside. I love her so much. Even though her reasoning isn't entirely wrong, how she can convince Bradley so confidently (without looking hesitant at all, so calm!) made me smile from ear to ear. Oh btw, that was funny when Mustang asked her to dinner xD

But the highlight was Hohenheim's past. Now I know the truth, I honestly feel so sorry for him. He never asked for an immortal body... he just wanted to live like a normal human, have a family and grow old. This makes him a victim too...... damn that Homunculus!!

Ah. Aaaahh. Hohemheim is a form of the Philosopher's Stone? Will... he be the final "tool" to turn Al back into a human? He once told Trisha that he never gave or did anything to the children... so it could be... right?

I found this episode quite informative actually. It gave us a lot of insight about what Hohenheim is a person and how he discovered the first homunculus. And we actually found out about the connection between him and Father simply put, the first homunculus took his adult form and started calling himself as "Father" that actually makes sense because I had wondered why Hohenheim has the same appearance as Father and yet I wondered if the former in question had a split personality but nope it's simply a case of another being taking his form like I said. And also Riza giving the note to Mustang about Kimblee being a Homunculus was very well executed. It was an awesome episode and like others have said I don't think it felt very rushed in the slightest, they took their time with the flashback and explaining what happened in the past so I'd say they are doing their job well. And again I feel like the length was just right and there's not much that needs to be said other than we now have important information regarding Hohenheim as a whole. Once again awesome episode as always.
