In the manga, Touka was the one that just missed Kaneki and she ran off after him by herself, while the conversation between Tsukiyama and Hinami had a different context. |

I still skip the intro though, still horrible in my opinion. 4/5 wut. I love it. Personally I love the voice of that women and the song is very lovely too. I don't know about if the lyrics fits with the season, but that op does in my op. He is controlled by the good and bad sides all the time from what we have seen in this season unlike in season 1 where he were mainly good. As some other person notice the first hand is Rize hand which is the evil side of him and the second hand is the good side of him where Toka.chan takes the mask of him. This is just a theory, but it fits very well. And that describes Kaneki very good too. |

| So Tsukiyama is back, haha. And Takatsuki is causing some trouble for everybody. Meanwhile, Kaneki returns to Anteiku just to get a beating from Touka to not come back. Seems like Shinohara and Juuzou will come back to Anteiku looking for a fight. |

In the manga, Hinami's feelings weren't this obvious. I mean she sure had admiration for Kaneki since she was his follower and subordinate(?) so she wanted to "do something for him". But since situations in the Anime are different it just seems like she is sulking over his disappearance. |
| An episode i definately liked. I dont know why but this episode's colours and artwork make the difference.As for plot gives us some hints that we were unaware of(those who havent read the manga :P). |

Kaneki is in university while Touka is in high school. It was highlighted in this episode that she's studying to apply for the same university that Kaneki went to. Age never matter much in love once you're old enough :> |

I thought it was originally planned as 2 12-episodes seasons when the anime was green-lit. This is similar to a split-cour instead of the normal 2nd season since Root A aired 3 months after S1 and no anime got a 2nd season that fast aside from split-cours and extensions. Also, Ishida worked on the S2 draft while S1 is airing so they don't have any idea how S1 and the manga would fare at the time. But yeah, they're probably not expecting it to be THIS popular in a short time and only focused on increasing the manga's popularity through a short adaptation of the whole manga. |

| Great episode! It's really nice to see relationship throughout the cast. We had Amon and Akira and now it's the Anteiku. I also don't know what's that scene in the first few minutes when Kaneki is eating tons of bones. Is it his inner self or some place hidden? Jason and Rize seems to reside within him along with others. Nishio has been a cool guy ever since he got beat the shit out of him. Tsukiyama is soooo fabulous!!! Damn Mamoru Miyano brings the life out of him!! Damn that euphoria scene! Takatsuki seems to be monitoring Anteiku and Kaneki. Surprise Tsukiyama didn't saw her at the cafe. I knew she's voiced by Maaya Sakomoto. Love her voice here :) Takatsuki really looks like a person Juuzou would associate with. Glad Kaneki and Touka finally met after awhile. Still the first thing you did is beat the hell out of him?? XD Yoshimura and Shinohara seems to know each other. Love the animation and music, i just wish the whole series was consistent. This series should have 26 episodes in the first place and nother 26 for the 2nd season. Ishida, Sui's art is really good especially at the EDs. Last 5 episodes left. I really do hope they make S3 in the near future. |

Still almost ruined by ludicrous shonen characters, but at least the story finally takes a step forward. This should have been episode 1 and the first 6 episodes should have never been made. |

| Touka continues to be one of the worst characters, and everything else was still below average. Disappointing once again, I had a lot of hope for this series. :-( |

| So Old Man is The Owl, the thought has occurred to me briefly but now I'm sure about it. ELDORADO!!! And Kaneki actually spoke, lol. I was getting worried about his voice actor at this point. The ending sequence was great. The episode itself was pretty good too, I want more now. |

| Lmao I almost forgot how much I love Tsukiyama. I can't believe Kaneki was actually relevant this episode. I was beginning to question why he's even listed as a main character this season. Solid episode overall. I'm sure it skipped plenty of manga scenes, but it's been long enough since I've read it that I can't remember what. The scenes it did adapt it adapted well and I don't feel anything was rushed. Seems episode 4 was the only real screw up in the series so far, and hopefully it stays that way. Even from an anime-only perspective this was pretty nice, I think. Tokyo Ghoul has always been more about the character interactions and less about the action. |
