| Unprovoked pantyshots, a cookie-cutter pink moe girl who's actually charming . . . So many other callback to classic tropes~ With all of these shows trying to avoid the mould, it's refreshing to see old fashioned romcom cliches and cookie-cutter genericism. The presentation is what really sells it though. |

| Okay, this one was actually kind of funny. I'm starting to get a sense on what makes this series tick. It's too bad that the first two episodes couldn't showcase the true strengths of the series. The pacing is much better now and there are more clever visual gags, too. There's also a bit of much needed self awareness (that one game that turned into a fishing game at some point). The twists are consistently foreshadowed, too. I haven't changed my mind completely about Gamers! While I have more respect for the visual direction now, I think it still could have been a bit weirder and the character designs still kind of bother me. I think the show does a pretty bad job at setting up the correct expectations of what kind of a show it's trying to be. The very title "Gamers!" is misleading, and so is the opening sequence, even though it looks pretty good. But perhaps after a bumbling start, maybe it can still be a gimmicky but competent comedy, if the rest of the episodes will be more like this one. Though there are still a few elements that retain at least some of the initial video game theme. For example, the criticism of the apparent prioritization of moe over substance in video games is not a super profound observation, but the role of moe in video games was a better point of contention than I expected. | I bet Hoshinomori is MONO and got the invite just then from Amano so Tasuku saved her from getting run over from a car and that's when Aguri saw them lmao X) idk how I feel about her desu desu catchphrase though..... Gets a little annoying at times :3 Meanwhile, Tendou thinks Amano is dealing with his own relationship crisis and Tasuku thinks Amano is interested in his girl XD Lovely. |

The short hair looks horrible on her. Breaks my heart because I really liked her. I just keep thinking how much better she looked before 😭😭 And poor aguri. And tendou too XD I feel so bad for both. |

on | omfg nothings working out lol And Uehara doesn't even realize how all of this looks for his girlfriend... Also Amano was quite unlucky. He almost saved their relationship but he had to send that invite at that moment. I have to say though I don't like how this is developing into a love triangle situation. One of the girls will end up hurt. Definitely don't like this development. |
