| Being a person that didn't watch either Umineko or Higurashi,this episode is okay for me even though there are some part that was boring.I'm not liking much the male lead,he looks too feminine.But him being voiced by Yuu Kobayashi,that's fine for me.One thing that bugging me is all the males student wear that kind of uniform that resemble school girl sailor uniform?That's very odd to me. Will stick to this anime for a time being.. Edit: The scythe wielding chick is awesome.I wonder what are her motive killing the people that transforming into werewolf? |

| Didn't you hear? He transferred out. . . fuu fuu fuu~ Wasn't expecting this to have such a higurashi feeling. . . Okay, first episode. I was expecting a little more. Still a lot of good points. The BGM and music in general is great. Character designs are cute. ( I think I may be in love with Mana-chan <33) Will have to continue watching more seems a little too hard to determine if I will really like this or not. |

| Hmmm interesting episode. I've already developed theories about what may be happening but I'll get on with what I think of this. Art is what you would normally see. Not very impressed with it for some reason. (guess the whole big bright eye thing is starting to get to me ._.) Music was quite enjoyable with FictionJunction as the OP. I'm really disliking Isuzu and the general classmates but I guess I'm supposed to hate them on purpose since they are seemingly possessed. My theory: New Town=Possessed!!!!! minus recently moved in, Old Town=Awesome Scythe-Wielding Exterminators (Possibly Wolves?) Lol, that's just my assumption so far. Besides Nemuru, the characters are meh to me so far. Guess they need to appeal to me more. I'm really confused with if I'm liking this or not. The plot is interesting enough with the wolves and that weird fruit they advertise (the commercial scares me xD) However the characters haven't made it enjoyable yet. So yeah, plot is there but I just need the characters to pull me in. Of course, this is first ep though so I'll be patient and keep an eye on it. |

| Didn't watch Higurashi, so I can't complain about being ripoff... :P Izusu girl was annoying, and character design is maybe too moe for horror anime, but overall it was nice intro episode. Based on the ending, I guess we can expect some plot twists like in Umineko. |

| I loved how Higurashi had a 'real' haha who am I kidding. I just liked the comic relief. Although the comedy wasn't that good and it had too many loli's and the main character was a pervert, it made you feel at ease. And just when everything seemed right.. those scary cat eyes. I rated Higuarshi a 9/10 just because of the first two arcs, where especially Rena and Mion (Shion? don't remember) are scary. The only scary moment here was when that guy whatshisface tries to drag our feminine hero out |

OK I was busy with farming and I see here over 9 pages of thoughts that I just read. Here is what I think: Higurashi.....why? Simple, Old town VS New town. Setting of some disease when the full moon strikes and people are outside...don't think all are affected. Town Jouga with Hassaku....something there has to do with the term sour (maybe fruit is to be sweet but turns out to be sour) but HIgurashi also had something to do with something so that people became crazy suddenly. Legend/belief system like in Higurashi and blood there is with killings. Notice in OP people are disappearing. Another thing is Hiroshi is being deceived simply because he is a wolf's prey....his acting makes me think of my sheep herd XD Overall too much confusion and my brain is hurting me from the thinking but will keep watching as a 11eyes due to the night/setting and Higurashi due to many elements being in par with it from this anime new anime thing. Now I noticed you all are confused about something or I am assuming this but Nemuru Kushinada is the hunting girl of the night and notice it with this about her face....just her hair color and appearance changes=>  Mana.....cute, innocent that no one knows what happened to her in her accident. | Definitely something to look forward to, surely better than the Umineko anime. Liked the 1st episode, the OP had some weird scenes but not that big of a deal. Song reminded me of Pandora Hearts' opening, possibly because it's by the same artist. It doesn't fit the genre "Horror/Mystery" but I'm okay with it. The animation looks quite nice. Isuzu didn't really annoy me. Though I don't like the design of the characters, too. A bit too much of a mediocre feel. Whether it reminds of Higurashi or not, I don't really care. I'm satisfied with the beginning. |

| 3 out of 5: It was OK Well it wasn't as good as I had expected it to be...Nemuru seems pretty cool though. I'll keep watching since I'm a Ryukishi07 fan. Hopefully the next episode will reveal a little bit more about the person behind that mask with the giant syth. |

| Good introduction episode that sets a quite disturbing atmosphere straight away. The characters are nothing out of the ordinary for now though, especially the main guy who tends to irritate me already. Good production values and good direction too. Oh and I trust Ryukishi07 fully for writing an awesome script, so count me in on till the end of the series. |

| It was decent, I'll keep watching. It does feel like Higurashi with the festival and everything. I didn't really like the art and character designs, very plain. Isuzu is annoying as fuck and reminds me of Yuka from 11eyes, she needs to die fast. |
