wow, the origin of everything is finally starting to make sense now :o
Here's the full text of what Rii-san said, if anyone wants to read it again:

So everything that's been happening is from someone's experiments gone wrong with making a weapon, something that they already saw coming.

Darn, now I want to read the manga, lol. Really good though. Funny parts mixed in with some serious plot, as usual, which I really enjoy.
Can't wait to see what else they find out!

That Fanservice at the Beginning...dare i say "Lucky Dog"...oh how i hate myself sometimes....

I Really want the OST that plays during the Flashback to the setup of the club, It's relaxing and cute to listen to.

While i can understand the Evacuation Manual giving rules for what to do during a chemical attack, but if i heard the explanation right it makes it sound like they prepared for a bloody zombie outbreak; in which case i find slightly ridiculous...

It's not ridiculous at all if it was preparation for a specific outbreak induced by a biological weapon that certain people in the school already knew about.
Now you're wondering if there's white text in any of my other posts.

If it was in this world and the Government knew of the Results of their weapon beforehand, then Fine. But anywhere else it's a tad Rediculous.
Edit: By "this world" i obviously mean the Gakkou Gurashi world.

Two things:
1. A weapon always has intended results. If this was a weapon then the intended results would be known - it was probably intended to be used on a different group of people though.
2. We don't know that it was the government's weapon specifically. It's likely but let's not jump to conclusions. Either way, some higher-up in the school was briefed about this to some extent, although judging by how ineffectively they reacted to the situation, I'm going to guess that it was scant on details.

Then i'm fine with that. my issue was if they made that part of the manual involving the survival of a Zombie Apocalypse without the knowledge of this Weapon's Outcome/Results. If they Knew of it beforehand Then Made the Manual i'm completely fine with it.

That's all this is.

I for one am loving the slow pace of this series. I won't deny that there's a tad too much SoL anime-original content; they could easily add darker anime-original content as well (more than they already have, that is), but I feel it fits the atmosphere find. All of the lighthearted bullshit makes the contrast with the dark side of the anime even more impacting.

I'm more concerned with how the remaining third of the series will be handled. There's still a fair bit of content to be adapted, and if they keep shoehorning in all this anime-original content, what's left to be adapted is likely to be ridiculously rushed. Hopefully my concerns will be for naught.

Agreed. It's completely out of place with this series and it's cheapening the dark, complex atmosphere that they've built up.

They just kept reminiscing and reminiscing without ever moving forward. I facepalmed when Yuuri said, "They're keep growing in numbers." Then why didn't you do anything..!? Are they waiting for some miracle like Jill and Leon Kennedy to show up and kill all the zombies, or they just give up and waiting for nuclear to drop and obliterate them without pain along with the city..!? (¬_¬)

I feel like Yuuri is the main villain in this show. She tried to keep them all in one place and acted like the wise oneechan. She's also upset and showed a menacing look when Miki's about to tell Yuki the reality. Miki is the only who grasp the reality. She's just felt troubled and conflicted because of their decision to keep Yuki 'sane'. Kurumi is in-between, because her shovel is the only thing that tied her to reality. Yuki is...well, fuwa2 time mode infinity ( ̄▽ ̄ )

This episode is pure fanservice, next will be double the fanservice smh~~~~

Since I am joining in quite late on the topic, there are already 4 pages and too much for me to read all at once, so I just saw a few comments on page one and some on this 4th one...
I am both happy and upset that people finally snap out of the "meh, the idle parts aren't that bad" thing, because for one, I am glad people finally realize it's only taking pointless parts away that could've been used better, but also unhappy that it took some users that much time to come to their senses.
Sure, even the manga depends on the moe slice of life, but not as bad as the anime and it manages to do those parts in a much better way that at the end of the chapter doesn't leave you with a few minutes of greatness like the anime does. Every episode depends on just a bit of shock value and the rest is filler that could easily be avoided or redone in a better manner that would both keep the moe-ness level, but still portray the characters and plot better.
That being said, seeing the opening part with
(putting spoiler, just in case... I had to replay it 5 times for my housemate to get that part, so I am not sure how much other users got that scene) and the little notebook made me hyped for the episode, only to be slightly disappointed by it a bit later. Sure, the moe was much more toned down, than previous episodes, but there was just something off by it.
Also the pure shock when they found the manual...as if they already knew it was related to their situation. Either the translators skipped something written on the top of the manual, or that was badly played out. At first to me it seemed like any regular evacuation manual.
And while the characters reacted in a proper manner to the news, it just felt weird... dunno if it was the overall pacing and leaving the revelation then and not earlier or something, but the entire episode felt....unmemorable, something which I can't say even for the weaker (imo) episodes.

I am both excited and terrified for the last 4 episodes. There is less and less time left for the big things and yet the show is taking its sweet time with getting to them... will it skip them? Make a spectacular comeback and fit everything perfectly in the 4 episodes left... or mash them all at once into a big pile of bad screenwriting and leave us with a disappointing ending... So many possibilities...
I do love the manga more... but I'd hate to see the anime's last episodes be a disaster.
Please do good, team ; 3 ;

Oh intense! Seeing zombie Megu-nee in the beginning was kind of a shock tbh. They found a zombie survival guide and it turns out that the reason for the zombies is a biological weapon… this is seriously interesting, I hope next time will continue this and not devote the entire episode to playing in the pool.

The next episode (as well as eps 10-12) will be very dark and dramatic (though not in the same level as Madoka) for sure. The "fanservice" shown in the preview is just a lie.

I bet the those hating this anime (and also the manga) haven't seen a single episode of Madoka yet.

yuki is shipping kurumi and the shovel so much xD

a sleeping bag with legs?..

mmm, so the school staff did knew about the zombies before the infection got to them so they had time to prepare, wonder why that was kept secret, and there wasn't a general warning instead
if other schools and public structures got warned in a similar way
and who did give that warning, thinking the government
given how weak the zombies are any military structure should had no problem mantaining isolation or even pushing them back

Why would they make a bioweapon they knew would go wrong? The fact they made such precautions as have a base to hide out makes little sense unless it was someone with an agenda who intentionally released it the way it was.

Have you read an evacuation manual before? This is completely different to what any normal school would have.

Nope, I'd just assume you'd want to cover all things in an evacuation manual :P Including possibility of biological and/or nuclear attacks.

the manual they had was a bit more complete than the manuals normally used (by a western standard), same for the structures, if it was normal there should have been more buildings equipped like that in the area
besides, evacuation manuals are usually about evacuating, as in getting away, that looked more like a survival manual, they were supposed to stay on the place

if it was an individual choice of the school to get overequipped for any disaster, wonder what the director/headmaster was thinking about xD
maybe they were obsessed with security or disasters
yuuri mentioned the overequipment was something used for advertisement, but doubt advertisement was the only reason to have that extra equipment

maybe each area had a building made for extreme disasters, and the school by chance was the safe building of its area
in switzerland many turistic hotels/inns have bunkers under them equipped to resist months in total isolation, guess it can vary by nation
dunno japan how usually equips its public structures, or how privates are usually interested in security, aside the usual anti-earthquake measures

I am not all that surprised that the school was somehow on it, what bothers me is how easily breachable the school is. If the facility was designed- or adapted- to serve as a living space in case of a zombie apocalypse then why on Earth does it have so many windows all over the place and many, many places into which a zombie can break in. Hell, the girls had to come up with makeshift barricades using desks in order to keep the zombies at bay.

Shouldn't the school have at least some shutter doors? Why bother with all the life sustaining facilities if the place can be so easily overrun by zombies.

I just remembered that my high school had an actual greenhouse, and a rather big one at that, and pretty big walls around the entire facility. And it even had an underground tunnel that was built under what is now the theater, it was used to evacuate during the anti-religious movement in the early 20 century. It is a Catholic private school and over a century old.
And the kindergarten/elementary school I attended had a small farm on site with chickens, pigs, guard dogs (that could maul a zombie or two), a water well and plenty of vegetables. It also had a massive door as its sole entrance, was completed surrounded by very tall walls.
Looking back, it all seems suspiciously creepy all of a sudden.
