I have a feeling that Fyodor isn't dead, he sure took a great damage to his body and won't be the same after but we still don't know his special ability so ...

Agreed!!! I don't think anything could have been better than this final episode. I's a masterpiece. Definitely one of my favorites of all time now. And like it looks, it also rises in ranking here in MAL. DESERVED!

It was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish with no time to even take a breath or sort your thoughts. After the middle, i couldn't hold back my tears in Fukuzawa's and Fukuchi's scene. It was beautiful, Studio Bones and Asagiri really are masters of their kinds. And we even get blessed with a 6th season it seems.
What a wonderful day for our community.

Yep btw there is no Light novel bro. Only manga and the anime already kinda went ahead of it ๐Ÿ˜‚. Author gave the next chapter plots to the anime studio in advance.

Actually there is a light novel with side stories which is actually where dead apple and the ranpo/fukuchi past story in season 4 come from

Ohhh didn't knew about it. But still it's not the main story

This was a good finale, but it felt extremely rushed. I'm sorry, but untouchable Fukichi goes down with a suprise attack from fukuzawa feels a bit little cheap for a character that has been built up like Fukichi. Obviously Bones was dead set on 11 episodes, and can't make a season 6 for at least a few years due to catching up to the manga, so they felt the need to tie up everything here. Besides that minor gripe, I did like how Fukichi went out. The two characters that were closest to him being the ones the ones to kill him feels perfect.

I am curious about Fyodor. I doubt that's the last we've seen of the guy considering we don't know his past or ability yet, but I hope that'll get revealed down the line. Also please someone check up on sigma pleasee. And this may just be me, but Chuuya not being a vampire felt like an asspull. Obviously it was hinted at the last episode with the barrel of the gun being red, but I wish they did more.

Overall, despite its flaws, this was a great conclusion to the story of BSD so far, and the future seems very bright for this series.

I wasn't satisfied with Fyodor's Death, but Fukuchi's Death made up for it.

His death felt a bit rushed, while Fukuchi's was beautifully executed! Well done!

Can't wait for the next season.

@Apratim it is main story. Bungo usually adapts first 4 episodes of a season containing light novel. Light novels are canon, although some aren't

I don't want to believe Fyodor is still alive, but this anime makes me feel like anything's possible lol. No, but actually. Not only he almost bled out, exploded, definitely caught on fire and got his arm torn off... he also still has the poison in his veins. I really don't feel like he should survive, because the whole race for the antidote would be pointless.

That's actually very interesting and a ability that fits to someone like fyodor. That lets the appearance of his ability in dead Apple makes sense if his ability is his consciousness and we didn't see sigma after he touched fyodor

This was genuinely one of the worst ends I have ever had the privilege seeing. Holy shit, this would be attack on titan level shit, if only the writing was good at any point. The amount of asspulls that happened here, the magic like "intelligence" of dazai and fyodor, everything is just so horrifically written. I cannot even put into words just how bad it is. The only thing I am waiting is for fyodor to return, because they are going to pull a jesus on him.
Anime gave me so many mental issues its not even funny

What an episode! Though, that little bit at the very end? At least to me it felt a bit unnecessary. My thoughts automatically went to 'oh no, not again an alien plotline!' While it's not an alien, that little bit felt super cliché...but I suppose we still need a super-duper villain after the last one. I'm not sure. I think it would have been okay to end the whole series here and maybe do some side stories. But I suppose because Atsushi didn't reclaim his title as hero of the story, it wasn't alright to stop just yet the story...

Oh, boi. If I had a penny for every "I will usher an utopia, but the cost will be violent revolution and some people will die", which eventually ended up with tyranicall regime, genocide and suppression of human rights, then I would be rich.

Dunno what Japan sees with this trope of humanizing villains with desire of violent revolution that has no logical chance of working out and never did in history. They tried exact same shit with Senator Armstrong and now with Genichiro.

Honestly, the episode felt kind of rushed. Like Bones wanted to tie everything up as fast as possible and move on to the next conflict. The thing is, what the hell is the next conflict? Asagiri hasn't written anything past this arc, and this arc itself isn't even over in the manga. This definitely feels anime original more than what was actually intended to be the finale of the story, though I could be wrong, since I've read that Asagiri has heavily involved in the making of this season, so this could be rough drafts of what's coming in the future.

Though the way Fyodor went out was kind of underwhelming. We still have no idea what his ability is, but I guess we figured out his true goal. Speaking of which, I predicted that Fukuchi and Fyodor's goal would have something to do with preventing another Great War from happening, considering how much of an emphasis the war was given this and last season, and both the manga and light novels have been hinting at a Great War 2 being on the horizon. The Order of the Clocktower will most likely been involved in it too. Anyone who's read the manga will know what I'm talking about.

On the flip side, the way Fukuchi went out was pretty satisfying and I think it was good sendoff to the character. There's some tragedy to it, since the two people that loved him the most had to put him down like rabid dog in the end. Fukuzawa mourning his friend in the end was quite heartbreaking.

Sigma is in a coma and Dazai doesn't give two shits it seems. Poor guy. Though that those beg the question, what did Sigma learn about Fyodor? And will it actually be relevant in the future now that Fyodor is dead? Or is he actually dead? His last words in particular were interesting. "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me". Are the writers making a Jesus allegory with him? Does that mean he's not actually dead? There's just too much left unanswered.

Despite this being the ending, it's not really an ending. And we now have confirmation that the anime isn't over, so that just makes me wonder what will happen next.

Overall, I liked a lot in this episode, but I do have some gripes too.

Finally, someone highlighting the right points. Exactly same feels man.
All I see is the fandom going crazy because Dazai's alive.

I liked this season a lot, it may be the one I liked the most along with the second one, but damn, the twist of Chuuya pretending to be a vampire was really dumb.
And that ending... I have no words left. I wonder how they're going to continue this since they catched up with the manga. At least Akutagawa is not vampirized anymore.

Since the anime has now adapted further than the manga's content, is the manga going to follow these plotlines?

Welp Fukuchi had his own plan for a zero requiem. Didnt hit as hard as Code Geass but thats alright. Honestly spoiled the moment with that ending. How the fuck is BSD not done after "stopping" world domination? Bet Fyodor somehow isnt dead, man's been a mastermind for far too long.
