| The animation quality is great and the colors in this show are so lively. But fuck man I was hoping they'd actually focus o the process and methods involved in actual fabrication rather than just some sparse scenes of characters using power tools. Hoping in a future episode that bandaid-chan will lop a few fingers off with a wood saw or something and then have to reattach them herself. |

| Really cute episode! Self is endearing as always and Takumin is such a sweetheart, I'm really happy she found her place in the DIY club. Miku is a meanie but she's just jealous... Can"t wait to learn more about her. |

| This is such a mesmerizing show. It reminds me of Eizoken. Fall 2022 season is full and packed with such strong anime, I'm really enjoying myself. |
| I feel like this show is so underrated. The only real nitpick I have production-wise (and I do have a tendency to nitpick) is the CG drones. That said, they really aren't that bad nor prevalent.On the contrary, the show's art style is absolutely stunning for a solid 99% of the show. It has a really nice, light color palette; great character art (that even remind people of Studio Trigger... I think it's the hair); wonderful cutesy "imagination scenes" with their own unique, painterly art style, simplistic yet effectively cute animal designs... I mean the show is beautiful, and EASILY has the best soundtrack of the season bar none. They have those wonderful nylon or gut string acoustics over the top of a mellow brass section that gives it a really unique comforting sound (and this is even with Bocchi the Rock... a music anime... airing in the same season). I love the light sci fi touches to the setting that bring a bit of extra life to the show. I love that they playfully made the schools nested just for a joke and have made it a focal point since then showing how the DIY club is being watched from above by the "elite." It give this otherworldly comforting feel to the small clubhouse they decorate themselves. The characters are adorable and it's impossible not to love how easy going Yua is in the face of her closest friend giving her the cold shoulder. I just don't understand why this show is so lowly ranked. So, what do you guys think: what are the main problems you have with the show? What makes this show worse that i.e. Bocchi the Rock in your mind? Having watched episodes of both multiple times now, DIY just hits differently. Bocchi is enjoyable the first watch, but DIY soothes the soul. But that's jsut me; how do you guys feel? |

The "Kenshin Cafe" is named after the Sengoku Jidai daimyo Uesugi Kenshin, who ruled over the old Echigo Province, which is now Niigata Prefecture. Uesugi Kenshin is often depicted as wearing a white hood or "gyonin hood", as he was a devout Buddhist. The anime is set in Niigata Prefecture (specifically the city of Sanjo), where Uesugi Kenshin is regarded as a local hero. |

I'm going on a whim here and say it's mostly the artstyle, people thinking it's boring (which is not unusual for some to think for mundane CGDCT) and the ditzy MC (who is extremely charming IMO but i could see how people wouldn't like her immediately). Point 1 and 3 are usually easily fixable with time as you get used to those and personally i'm very optimistic about this show from the get-go, that hasn't changed even now. |

I really like the art style too. 20 minutes filled with cute moments and Yua Serufu being clumsy. It is wholesome. Definitely one of my favourite shows of this season. |

| I love it. It is amazing so far. I like the cute, wholesome moments filled with Yua's clumsiness. Please don't give her the saw! The music is good and I really like the art style. The animation is fantastic as well. |
