Nobara was an absolute savage this episode. Holy crap, she nail her own hands and didn't scream once. Also, the way she and Yuji took out those two curses together was epic. Can't wait for season 2.

All these exorcists that are not even 20 years old are so ridiculously overpowered that watching them fight isn't even fun. I was worried JJK would turn like a Dragon Ball shounen when I saw Gojou litterally destroy the volcano jii-chan Curse in the first episodes of the anime, and God was I right. At this rate, in a few episodes they'll probably be powerful enough to destroy the whole planet.

There was no nothing in this anime, except good animation. No interesting protagonists, lame antagonists with zero charisma, no interesting plot and not even tension during the fights, which feels the worst to me. The Junpei arc was the only one where everything didn't feel like a given from the get-go, but unfortunately this good aspect of JJK was short-lived.

In the end, JJK was just an average, boring shounen nekketsu, so 5/10. I won't watch the next season nor the movie.

You give most animes 5/10 just checked your list, and it seems you clearly don't enjoy anime that much so why continue watching stuff I ask this because you didn't enjoy jjk fair enough, so I presume 5/10 is the score you give to series that you don't like since you won't continue then so why, I am curious?

I follow MAL notation scale when I give a note to an anime. I think JJK was average globally so I gave it a 5. It has some cool elements like the Junpei arc or the episodes of the tournament arc where secondary characters like Maki or Mechamaru fought with their cool and original techniques (not just fist fights), I had fun watching these episodes so I watched the anime until the end because I didn't know how it would finish. Now that I saw how this manga/anime does its things, I know that what it will show next probably won't satisfy me except for a little number of episodes. Junpei arc is a 7/10 for me, but it was short so globally JJK is 5/10, which isn't a bad note by my standard (4 and less is a bad note). For me it's just a forgettable anime in the end, so that's why I won't watch the next season.

Noritoshi Kamo is indeed a Jujutsu sorcerer from Kyoto; he’s the one that fought vs Megumi before Hanami showed up. The Kamo inherited technique is blood manipulation. His ancestor is also named Noritoshi Kamo and was seen as the evilest Jujutsu sorcerer to ever live but died 150 years ago. He’s the one that created the curse wombs/death paintings. I’d hold back on researching more on him since he’s a central figure of season 2 and there’s some massive spoilers in which he is involved.

Well as I expected, the enemy wasn't going to pose a threat despite leading up to the idea that they could actually be dangerous. Nobara and Yuuji dispose of them like they've been doing it together for years. Making the fight as anti-climactic and boring as the rest of them have been for the second half of the season. RIP Jojo rip-off looking guy.

The fight was spectacularly animated though. Mappa really has solidified themselves as action animation giants in the industry.

Overall, Jujustu just wasn't great. A majority of its characters are brick walls with no likable traits or personalities, the main character is cookie cutter and uninteresting, but I would say Megumi is far and away the best character. He isn't cocky and full of himself, he's shown to clearly struggle making him believable, and has this latent potential that's constantly teased but never shown, at least until the last fight.

The quality clearly dipped after the first half of the season. All the "good guys" are insanely strong, with little to no training that we see on screen, they defeat their enemies incredibly easily. It made fights boring and the show had very little tension. I don't think I worried about anyone losing or dying nearly the entire second half.

Of course this also applies to this final battle, the chemistry and teamwork between Nobara and Yuuji felt so unearned that it just pulls you out of the show. When did they have time to understand each other on such a fundamental level? They were never shown training or working together.

Jujutsu also tries to subvert shonen tropes whenever it can, and that's not a bad thing. Like the cliché of explaining powers and techniques mid battle, and the idea that villains don't have to live in some dark secret lair. But when you have overpowered and unlikable characters, boring and tensionless fights, and story that's easy to forget; you get a mediocre shonen at best.

I think if this slowed down, took time for for character moments, and stopped these almost nonstop balls to the walls action sequences, we'd have a better show. Episode 23 was arguably one of the best episodes of the second half because it specifically didn't have action, and it took time for the characters to interact with one another. Making them more likable and believable as a result. Until it actually brings villains that pose a threat and give us characters we can actually like, this will continue to struggle to be anything more than just ok.

That Yuuji and Nobara Double Black Flash was beyond epic!! The whole battle again was incredible from start to finish. I swear, Nobara has become one of my all time favorite female Shounen protagonists, she's cool, tough as nails (pun intended) and actually strong. Also the fact how incredibly well she gets along with Yuuji is something I love to see. I am gonna miss these guys.

Sequel plans already in the making it seems, so hopefully we're not gonna be without Jujutsu Kaisen for too long!

Overall, fucking brilliant production. Characters are great, especially Gojou and Nobara. Animation is god-tier, sounds is incredible, especially the soundtrack is a bomb. Been a while since I have been this hyped for a soundtrack release. Simply a masterpiece, 10/10!!

Start with chapter 64.
Would greatly recommend reading Vol 0 (prequel that is being movie adapted for Winter 2022) after chapter 78, it'd make sense chronologically and it also ties to current arcs.

What a beautiful episode and a great finale for the season!! Easy 5/5, wish I could give a higher score!

I loved this anime so so much, one of the most enjoyable watches I had!
I tried to hold back on reading the manga, cuz MAPPA has been KILLING IT and I wanted my first experience of it with no prior knowledge on the manga, which was most definitely worth it 😌

So, awesome animation, great pacing, story seems to be quite on the average side, but man what a great cast of characters. I really really love how the main trio (after we got to see more of nobara) is pretty balanced. I heard people compare them to naruto’s team 7, but that couldn’t be more wrong. Hands down the BEST depiction of female characters in a shounen. (My favorites being nobara and maki btw hehe)

This is a solid 9/10 for me, I’ll be on the watch out for the movie and season 2!!

And with the finale wrapped up, i can safely say that this show has now crept into my top 10

Nobara is the MVP this episode, she moves she pulled off and the animation for her was 10/10 and is now tied with Maki for best girl

sukuna coming out of nowhere to swallow that finger lmaoo you just knew it was gonna happen the way it was set up

now we get to see the 3rd brother next season that's paraded all over twitter, he does looks pretty badass. That's the thing with jujutsu, everyone looks so fire with their outfits and appearances.

everyone getting promoted to first grade to lessgoooo

this entire season from start to finish was ufotable level animation, every character was likeable, the music was amazing and the fights were so fire i cant wait for next season (is the movie they just announced canon like demon slayers?)

This was a super cool finale, while I didn't exactly care about the people they were fighting it still felt like a great final fight for the season because of how cool the main characters were. Seriously Kugisaki was fucking badass and some of those scenes were amazing to look at. All in all, fucking fantastic.

AHHH! OK I see totally understandable, the next arc coming after this season is the good ones tho because in the beginning of the series Gege didn't really plan much and was just going with the flow, it's only after the sister school arc and this one in episode 22-24 is where it gets a bit more juicy and where the plot starts going into unknown territory but I don't wanna give you false hope and you end up disappointed so the choice is yours if not feel free to check out the manga tho you get more info

I think Demon Slayer is a better recent Shonen but I still gave JJK a high score because I've seen far, far worse. It's better than a 5/10 imo and the general consensus will probably agree with me.

To put it bluntly, your opinion is just wrong. The animation and art alone make it better than average.

An amazing end to the season!!

I found it hard to connect to Nobara this season as a sorcerer(always loved her energy and her wit!) as I always felt she was overshadowed in fights by the insanely strong Itadori and Megumi but during this last episode she really captured my attention. She's a character I'm now very excited for!

A shame it took a whole season for her cleverness and strength in battle to really take centre stage but I'm looking forward to more.

Overall, I think it was a really solid season, excited for our Jujutsu High students to get even stronger as I started to feel towards the end that too many fights were starting to only serve the purpose of "let's occupy them until Gojo gets here" instead of actual battles. Absolutely the potential to be a long-term iconic shōnen and one of my fave anime of the season. Definitely a high 9/10 <3

We back yet? We sure? Alright..And so we end with another finger recovered and two of three brothers vanquished.

This series surprised me. I was vaguely aware of its existence, being in Shonen Jump and all, but I didn't even to bother watching it as it aired from the start. I chose it on a whim after several episodes were already out. Needless to say I was impressed. This first season had a very strong story, characters, and especially animation. As a long runner in Jump the quality could change, it could nosedive after the point where the anime ended for all I know, so I'm hesitant to give it even more praise. I'll just say that what I've seen of Jujutsu Kaisen so far is easily worthy of an 8/10. One of the best shows I watched in both of the seasons during which it aired. I will eagerly await more.

"But tears were shed over the lives I ended tonight." Yuuji making me go through it because of him being such a good kid right down to the very last episode, god. His va's delivery in these moments never disappoints, it really showcases how very humane Yuuji is and I am never not appreciative of that.

The JJK ride was great, I had no idea this would be the shounen series that would actually make go "... Oh, I get it now" re: how invested and attached people get to a shounen series/formula and experience it for myself.

I feel like being an anime only made this experience even more fresh, so idek if I want to get into the manga just yet tbh (though I have an awareness of where the story is currently at). Mad props to the team that worked on this project and I'll certainly be looking forward to the movie (Yuuta making his debut in film is bougie as hell and I respect it).

Eso and Kechizu were not really cursed spirits, they had physical bodies. They're essentially like Yuuji, human body + cursed object but with the curse taking over. Thus Yuuji called it "killing" instead of "exorcising", and Nobara understands that too. Yuuji is a very empathetic person, he felt great sadness and burden over "killing" brothers and seeing their tears, but the boy feels relief that he and Nobara survived all the same. Great balance, I would say.

And so Jujutsu Kaisen is over... for now.

Wow oh wow... This show truly caught me off guard. I started watching it cause I wanted to see what the hype was all about, and after being completely underwhelmed with two other extremely hyped shows (TOG and GOH) I wasn't expecting much from it. But fortunately I loved it from start to finish.

Is it the most original show ever? No, of course not, but who cares? I think it uses the shonen elements really well, I like its comedy, the story is engaging, the characters are awesome, great BSO, AMAZING animation, great cast... Overall, fantastic show!

I'm gonna miss it A LOT! I hope we get a second season soon!
Right now it's easily a 9/10 for me. I need to watch a bit more cause this has the potential of joining my 10/10 club.

Absolutely fantastic episode, what a finale.

Incredible fight sequences as always, I was on the edge of my seat. Nobara's smirks and badass remarks combined with Yuuji being badass as hell was way too hype. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

Overall, I never read the manga but I was aware of this series' existence being in Jump and what not. I went in with good expectations but I have to say I was absolutely blown away by what it's turned out to be. The story is great, the characters are great and the anime came out absolutely stellar with gorgeous and entertaining fight sequences. Extremely impressed, huge props to Mappa for the work put into this. Very optimistic about the future of this series, it's a Jump series so I'm expecting another season but I am very tempted to pickup the manga.

9/10, this a potential 10/10 show for me depending on how the series progresses in the future

Finally we get to see more straw doll action from Nobara, Even went as far to injure herself to let the enemy feel pain. Itadori SPEED. Itadori and Nobara have pretty good teamwork. Very good animation.

That last cursed brother seems like he could pose quite the trouble in the future. also were Mahito and Geto just casually playing monopoly or something lol.

The Kyoto cast recommending the Tokyo High cast to be grade 1 sorcerers.

They were all acting quite cryptic at the end, A traitor among the students? Something with Itadori and the fingers??

After multiple months of weekly JJK season 1 has come to an end.
