The ending.. please tell me it's just a dream T_T it hurt so much! I wondered if something might happen there when the kids were first introduced but to think it actually did >_< dammit!

The scene in the bar with Ango's goodway made me way more sad than a truck full of little kids blowing up...odd.

Anyway, I'm loving this backstory arc.
I found something in life, is just that I'm still trying to figure out what is it.

That was just great! I find that Gide's superpower being the same of Ode's is a pain in the ass. Last scene was unexpected yet predictable as shit like that can happen when it comes to mafia gangs battles.

I was not sure about the flashback-season, but I love Ode's character and I'm excited to get to know Dazai and Akutagawa better.

There's way less comedy as Atsushi and other characters are not present: even if I miss them, I think that focusing on the drama/action is ok.

Last thing I feel the urge to share is: Akutagawa was introduced as an unbeatable powerful creature, but it seems like he can't even have faith in himself, he is Dazai's opinion's slave. Feel bad for him, but I don't have much respect/esteem for him.

sheesh, besides some backstory on dazai, we need some on aku and his abandonment issues.
was absolutely shaken the kids died. wow.
i'm glad this continues another episode, since people were speculating this would be the last episode. seemed rather shorter than the rest. the song in the bar was awesome.

DragonSlayer_19 said:

Tbh i understand were akutagawa is coming from , imagine someone teaching you and beating you to death as his subordinate only to tell you at the end of the day you need 100 years to stand a chance against a low-ranking member in the mafia. But little does he know how badass oda is lol ...

pretty sure he was messed up way before that all happened. i mean why else would aku need to be slapped down repeatedly if he never did anything wrong?

and i was thinking why this is so astoundingly excellent. because the creator (apparently) didn't write dazai's past - which makes me think more and more it wasn't to add "mystery" to dazai but more that the creator can't write for shxt.

I had a nagging feeling that Oda sounded like Aizawa. Wow Suwabe.

I'm not sure if it was the ending that got me or the yelling...

If this doesn't get him PO'ed I'm not sure what will.

Okay, that caught me completely off guard. Oda was completely destroyed in this episode.

So, Mimic's boss have the same power of Oda.

That was an amazing episode, wtf.... that ending, that execution, the whole episode was really damm great but ending it like that, perfect.

It is sad, he had a really respectable and exhilarating dream he wanted to accomplish, and this fucking dude looking for death, had to destroy everything...
WTF...

Dazai visited Oda in the hospital after his poisoning, Dazai told him that his forces went for Mimic, Oda got up and went. Akutagawa was battling Mimic, but Gide (Mimic's leader) appeared and beated him, Oda arrived and saved him, Gida realized that him and Oda have the same power (future visions) and wanted a death battle, but Oda refused due to his no kill rule. Dazai and Oda went to the bar to look for Ango and he was there, Ango revealed that he is a triple spy, working for the government (a department for supernatural powers control), Port Mafia and Mimic. Oda went to visit the kids mantained by him but he found the old man dead and the kids weren't in their room (there was a map), from the window he could see them in a minivan, he jumped from the window and after getting to the car it exploded.

I love the music when they are at the bar, it's just peaceful. Ango revealed his real job as a triple agent and I didn't understand really well why Dazai threatened him. Now Oda is cornered, probably by Gide, going to a death battle. That final scene was sad and heavy.

I find it really cool and interesting how the Mimic's leader, Gide has the same ability as Sasunosuke

I like the "twist" where Ango is really a triple agent instead of the double agent that we thought he was

Wow, that ending shocked me I didn't expect the death of those kids, but the music didn't set the mood right at all in my opinion

Every episode is such an amazing experience. Everything involving the mafia is done so well, the author knows what he's doing. The meeting in that bar was great, can't say the same for the Mimic fight though, but it was still good.
Then, the highlight of this episode. Oda's misfortune at the end. Everything keeps happening to him. I'm expecting we'll get to see his rage Dazai was talking about, so hyped for that. Will this be the first time he's going to kill someone? Most likely the leader of the Mimic?
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!

Fucking brilliant direction with the haunting allegory of Odasaku’s desire to be a novelist, and how that is all over with this episode. There’s no turning back now. Who the fuck did that??????!!!? Gide????? That’s fucking cruel. RIP to the kindhearted restaurant owner & the orphans.....they didn’t deserve that.

Ango being a triple agent & still wanting to hold onto what he shared with Dazai & Odasaku. I love how irl, these writers were collectively part of the Buraiha movement.

but i’ll probably remember over and over again
you were there and everyone else was there

This arc is infinitely better than the first season, to the degree that it didn't even feel like the same franchise at times here. It's not perfect, but it's definitely a lot more interesting for the time being. Too bad that it's ending soon in that sense.

Why show the opening ten minutes in? I fail to see any purpose in that.

Akutagawa seems to be a pillar of angst and intensity at all times. He can't be trusted around his own allies, and his backstory doesn't seem to be any more sympathetic than anyone else's. It makes it difficult for him to carry a scene in the same way other, far more interesting characters in this arc like Oda, Dazai and Gide can.

Best episode so far ! damnnn ... My man oda just wanted to live his life peacefully and take care of poor kids.
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes.
It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo.
