| This chapter was too strong emotionally, I always wish that they can live happily even if for a short time, but this is too hard. I don't know, this manga is too hard to read or to shallow. It's too depressive to read, if that person is a depressive person like me. I just want Punpun to commit suicide actually to not take on this burden anymore. Or I just want end which they mentioned. |

Looks like my guess earlier from when I saw her wound in the bathroom turned out to be right, even though Punpun tried to stitch it up looks like it got infected really bad. So it really was Aiko who finished her mom off? Even until the end I can't tell if she was lying or not. I'll likely have to go re read that chapter when her mom got killed again. Yeah Alter this manga is very depressing. I can't even gauge my own feelings about the manga that well either other than its really sad. |

| Seriously Asano, what the fuck? I was joking about the rope thing... R.I.P Aiko :'( I didn't like her at first but after finally learning of her circumstances I grew to really like her, just as much as Sachi. Can't say I'm surprised by this though, it was only a matter of time. |

She had been keeping herself going, believing they were kindred spirits. In the end though, I think Punpun was in love with the idea of her rather than her as a person, and she knew that. I felt really bad for her. Less so Punpun. |

This manga is fucking sad, but man is it masterfully done... it's literally the antithesis of a coming-of-age story. One last stretch until the end! Can't wait to see how he concludes this. |

| I was planning to read a chapter or two in the middle of a group counselling session but the first thing I ended up seeing when I turned the pages was so shocking that it made my jaw drop on the spot, pocket my phone, and feel tempted to bring it up in the discussion since it did a 180° on my mood... They have absolutely no idea on what to do next and after their only hope was extinguished, they were at their wits' end but even after all that, I didn't get to brace myself for the horrific and tragic sight Punpun laid his eyes upon. It was already painful enough to see that Aiko's completely given up on everything to the point of killing herself but what made it even more hard to watch was Punpun carrying her corpse to their next destination acting like nothing's happened. He expected something like this to happen but he wasn't mentally prepared to deal with it when the time comes... |

It's sad that her last words to him were admitting how happy she was about the two of them. Rest in peace, Aiko. Yes, it would've been fun to explore the what ifs. But I guess you don't have to suffer anymore. |

| Good god man... I'm very sad. Many of my own thoughts have been said already in this thread. But as soon as I saw the panel that only showed her feet I actually gasped and put my hand over my mouth in shock, just tragic. The piss running down and dripping off her feet really drives the point home, Asano's portrayal of death is so shamelessly realistic and undignified. I remember he did something similar when illustrating her mom's death |
