| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ----------------------------------------  Dangerous dungeon is dangerous especially with those green insect like beings. One of them even spits fire, wth? Anyways, I enjoyed watching some of the action in this episode. Also, it's great to see Morgiana back again. Nice soundtrack OST at the end there btw. It fits with the Magi theme perfectly imo. |

| Quite different from manga but it's all good since it's fit the theme of Amon dungeon (fire that is). I gave 5/5 anyway xD Though I would have liked if they show us (just like in the manga) how happy Alibaba and Aladdin are when they reached the dungeon, and talk a bit about Sinbad. They rushed in this episode again >< |

They rushed in this episode again >< While i can already see the rage coming, because there are some people who are obsessed about exact details, i truly believe its better this way, The Balbadd arc and everything after takes so much more priority than this beginning, and what people should understand is that its not like the beginning is being skipped over, its just capturing the main points and skipping little details, if one truly thinks about it almost all adaptions do this, and i can guarantee that Magi does it nowhere near as bad as some adaptions do. |

| Well definitely enjoyed this one wayyyy more than the first episode, and definitely liked the change they made to Amon's Dungeon. Though there are a few parts where that didn't sit quite well with me but it's minor. I am kinda sad they removed that dragon quest reference, I thought it was pretty funny. Still didn't get used to Aladdin's voice but I am really liking the rest of VA. One thing worries me is that people will get the wrong impression of this series from that ending (you know happy-go-lucky, typical shounen), I hope that just me..... But all in all much much better than the first episode 5/5 |

| I think they didn't mentioned anything about Sinbad in episode 1 too, right? Kinda wanted them to talk a bit about Sinbad and how Alibaba respect him. I want to watch next episode xD Alibaba's royal swordplay |

Nothing wrong with that at all, heck if anything people will be going even more that When the Balbadd arc comes, many series start off light hearted then get serious, just look at HxH. |

| Even though they cut out a lot of jokes from the manga it was still a good episode, but I don't think Alladin's funny faces work as well in the anime the anime isn't as lighthearted as the manga was at the start. I like how quickly Aladin and Alibaba's relationship is getting stronger, like how Alibaba saved Aladin at the start and how they took off together on the carpet. |

| They obviously cut out some parts as expected, but that said it was a great episode, they captured all the main points and even did somethings better than the manga, for example the representation of Amon's dungeon was done better than in the manga imo, the awesome animation just adds to that. The hints at future Alibaba developments were well placed with the short flashbacks as well, manga diehard fans may be picky about these early episodes but hopefully they can be more open minded because in terms of capturing the main points it did amazingly well. |

| Wow, did they clear the dungeon already? I'm loving Alibaba and Aladdin together, actually. They're both good characters - especially Alibaba - and they make a great team. Can't wait until Morgiana joins them (I'm presuming that she does). |
| They are flying by the story so fast. The tone of the anime is more serious and that foreshadowing. *_* I love the animation and the colors, that scene where they opened Amon's treasure room was amazing. |

| Another wonderful episode of Magi. I like how they kept the part with Aladdin getting caught in the monster's mouth. lol Though I was rather disappointed that they didn't include some of their wandering around the town before heading into the dungeon. Oh well, imo the anime didn't need it to work and it doesn't take away from my rating. I can now ultimately say that the OST is going to become a favorite of mine after hearing more of it in this episode. Man, I wish they aired more than just one episode a week. The anticipation is killing me; can't wait for episode 3! C: 5/5 |

| I enjoyed the episode^^ but like some people the differences from the manga kind of bothered me - I can look past it though. And I love the arabian themed music, it fits so perfectly. I hope that the anime will stick more closely to the manga during the Balbadd arc though. Can't wait til Sinbad appears :D |
| Opinion from someone (me) who have not read the manga: Not enough happens in an episode; the pacing can be faster. But since it's a golden time anime, I'll allow it to drag. And I hope they keep up the quality in the next 20-ish episodes. Overall, great anime; makes me want to read the manga already. ww Edit: Raigerzero said: 11.5 chapters!? Really? If I had to guess, I would have thought that the anime only covered 3 chapters. (Assuming that the first chapter is around 40 pages).I wonder why the adapters made the decision to make the anime organized in this fashion. They went through around 11.5 chapters or so in two episodes and changed the traps and mixed different scenes. The anime doesn't make itself seemed rushed in my opinion, but to a manga reader like myself, it seems unusual (not bad though). |

| Looking at 2CH for screenshots and then realized that the episodes was out. Good timing for subs to be there with me as well! Sadly I can't judge since I have never read the manga, and bummed that my sister DID read the chapters before the anime was out... Makes me feel so bummed. Anyway, I think it handled well even though most believe that the tiny details are cut. Remember that anime adaptations can do some slight changes in order for each episode to pace well. And Morigana... ;; |

| This was a great episode, and, despite finding the first to be quite good, this was a considerable improvement. Although the pacing felt slightly rushed at times, the developments throughout were handled much better than in the previous episode, as they given more than enough room to breathe. The lighthearted, adventurous tone allows for the material to be consistently interesting and enjoyable. Amon's dungeon was excellently portrayed. Alibaba is my favorite character so far, and he was particularly impressive throughout the few moments of action he was involved in. As such, my favorite sequence was Alibaba deftly leaping through the columns of fire. Aladdin cheering Morgiana up was a nice moment. Their following conversation revealed some intriguing insight into Morgiana's peaceful past and her distant homeland. I really liked the transition from her dreary present into her momentary dreams of a happier existence as Aladdin's words echoed through her mind. Aladdin and Alibaba's continually growing friendship is quite satisfying to watch as it develops. The character interactions are definitely one of the strongest elements of the show. The brief flashbacks to Alibaba's clouded past are implemented quite well within each episode, creating a compelling amount of foreshadowing, and I'm really looking forward to discovering more of his history. The production values continue to be thoroughly superb. The animation, in particular, is terrific. The direction is also exceptionally good, especially during the action scenes, as the choreography of these sequences is extremely well done. Sagisu's music is amazing, as it wonderfully illuminates the atmosphere in a plethora of moments, effectively assisting in the excellent depiction of the arabian setting. Though it's slightly improved, the full ED remains quite jarring. All in all, Magi is increasingly developing into one of the best shows of the season, as it's filled with compelling characters, great action sequences, and a very interesting story. |

| You dont see many adventure/shounen anime like this.Im really enjoying every second of it.I already love Morgiana xD i mean she was so cute trying not to laugh :3 me wants more of her. People are complaining because of ED, but to be honest i find it great.Music is catchy and its nice to see 3 of them smiling and dancing :D 5/5. cant wait to see next episode, prev looks really neat. |

| Oh yay the bad boob jokes are gone, that's most certainly an improvement. I don't really mind this being different from the manga, but maybe that's because I'm not much of a fan of the manga in the first place. At least this show is still mildly entertaining. |
| I was unsure about this after the first episode but I now see the potential here. and I'm not referring to the action (though I liked that as well). I also liked that they didn't immediately get Morgiana to escape - it was obvious from the prior episode that she suffers from "slave mentality" and, as Aladdin said, she'll need to cut her invisible chains first, which is something she'll need to do on her own.
