| So technically, the series ended on episode 75. This was just a TV special (or something along those lines). It could have been used earlier as a normal episode (like Kimura's and Aoki's background). It was still amusing xD |

| Haha, Takamura's backstory was great. Almost as good as Aoki and Kimura's backstory. The comedy in Hajime no Ippo is just as good as the action. |

| As funny as this episode is, it really didn't fit in. It should have been its own OVA like the Mashiba vs Kimura fight. God damnit Geneon, I had to watch this episode fansubbed because it wasn't on the Geneon DVD's. /:( |

| In my opinion, this episode just felt out of place. Ippo had already won the match against Sendo and became champion. Then to end the anime with the history of how Takamura joined Kamogawa gym.. man, weird. |

This series wouldn't have been half as fun without Takamura. It's a little awkward ending the series with his story, but it was a good, funny story regardless. |

| I REALLY don't get why people are bitching about episode 76. Throughout the whole series we got a comic relief episode after a serious fight, and after the best fight in the series we get the best comic episode, how fitting. It's Hajime no Ippo's style, jeez, I'd think you'd get used to it after so many episodes. |

| Well I didn't watch this when it was being aired.. but this last episode was pretty weird to end their first season haha Nonetheless, it was still satisfying to get to know Takamura's background story.. His debut match is more impressive then Ippos' :-D Loved the hilarious ending! :-)))) best way to end the show; with laughs! |

| Fantastic episode! Really liked this episode, especially because Takamura is one of my favourite characters! Awesome match, 25 seconds KO! LOL @ the end, "Umm, there's a strange noise coming from inside", haha Takamura is just epic! 10/10 |

| Very enjoyable episode, I really like to see my boy Takamura in action and know more about his past and how he started. He's definitely the best and most powerful boxer we have seen up to date (Champion Date wouldn't stand a chance against him, right? I don't really know if in boxing the weighing's difference makes a huge unbalance btwn fighters) but we don't get to see him fighting much because Ippo's got all the highlights. One of the best characters I've ever seen, laughs are granted whenever he's in. And I loled at the end of the ep, never fails to amuse me but he didn't set 'that' in in time hahaha Coach Kamogawa is a really good character too. |

| Takamura trying to brighten the mood in the gym with those posters killed me, but he did win in brightening it with paint, lol! He sure was awesome in KO' ng that guy in just 25 secs, he sure is bear slayer and king of perverts. I can't wait to see him in the sequel along with Aoiki and Kimura. |
