| lol, Okay, I just want to know... Did that entire flashback/conversation naruto just had with Sasuke all happen in their minds or did they decide to just stand still and talk to each other? Anyway, 3/5. It was pretty good until the flashbacks and memories. I honestly did not mind the short danzo flashback, but the naruto one in the village bored me something awful. Also Karin just scored some more points with me, one betrayal by Sasuke and she is done with him, why can't Sakura be like that? ; ) Edit--------- --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Dang, just saw the preview for 216, next episode going to have a lot of flashback as well : ( |

| This is just annoying me to the extremes ... Giving a Danzo's death flashback was unnecessary since it happened just a couple of episodes ago and everybody still remembers and than the same " early days " flashbacks again and again and again and again ... i've honestly seen those sequences at least 100 times since this show started and it's getting on my nerves already . |
| Flashbacks of old material is one thing, yet re-cap's of recent episodes?! I wonder is re-cycling is an alternative to fillers, if so, what's worst? Sakura is funny; why was she suprised Sasuke tried to kill her? He didn't like her back when he was a goody. Team 7 in all are funny; Sasuke was going down a path of destruction before they formed; why are his actions a suprise? Naruto is being a brat, only his feelings matter; Sakura can't take action, Kakashi can't take action, only him alone. |

| I hate unneeded recaps as much as the next person (probably more than the average actually since I skipped entirely the Danzo/Karin ones) but for this episode they were obviously mandatory. Naruto's mental state played the center stage here (as it should) and we had to see what was going inside his head and IMO, the result was pretty darn epic! I loved this episode EVEN with wasted 2 - 3 minutes or so. It could've been done with a little less flashbacks and in a perfect world they would make their fated reunion into a two episode special since watching parts of it kill the mood completely (next week I will definitely watch both in succession) but it was still a lot better than past few ones where the recap material was just there for the sake of enhancing the length of the episode. I also liked Karin's resolution and hated the scene with Sakura completely helpless on Naruto's arms... that was just so shounen-ish it was borderline misogynistic. It's funny how Sakura always get the short end of the stick, she even managed to "almost" cry AGAIN! I hardly doubt that even if Sasuke was still goody he would pick her among the horde of girls he have chasing him, she is just so whiny ¬¬ Anyway, great episode, a little bit overkill on the flashbacks but the canon material that sneaks by is so good I am willing to ignore it even existed >< I've said this before, but one of the strongest points in Naruto is how the antagonists are not your usual "Freeza" types, I mean, I've lost some hope when he started laughing frantically but it's definitely in the realm of possibility that the last battle will go down as Naruto + Sasuke VS Madara oooo, and Sasuke X Naruto reversal of roles with the Chidori X Rasengan was particularly mind blowing ;) |

| Naruto Shippuuden. Never fails to remind me what I watched 7 days ago. If only there was a show that would remind me how to breath, cause it seems I happen to forget it sometimes, thus the lack of oxygen causes me to forget things like how Danzou died, even though I read it in the manga, saw it in the anime, the flashback in the anime, the preview of the flashback in the anime and in the second flashback. God bless Shippuuden. |

| So to sum this up all that happened in this episode was Naruto and Sasuke charging at each other. Best episode of all time hands down. |
| Bah! IIRC there were a fair few flashbacks in the manga at this point too, especially those from the first episode. But it felt like there were much more here in the anime. I'm actually getting a friend into Naruto, and I'm watching all the old shows with him when he comes round, so some of these were a bit like 'oh god, I only saw that recently as well'! one_eyed_dragon said: Naruto Shippuuden. Sasuke has never even shown the willing to even be friends with Sakura, of course Ms. DELUSIONAL doesn't care about that, she only sees what she wants to see. All these characters display perfect examples of DELUSIONAL BEHAVIOR, and disorganized thinking... hence they all fit the symptoms of SCHIZOPHRENIA. |
| It was getting so good and then it went into flashbacks and that scene where Sasuke and Naruto are alone in a space of white. It just went over the information we all know and just put in with other words. That's what the episode was about. |

This is actually quite well though out; schizopherina or bipolar? They're all over-emmotional, selfcentred, fantasists; Kakashi being a here-and-there teacher - leading Nauro and Sakura to go elsewhere to learn and Sasuke's departure were actually good things. The three mains are all so self-destructive, they'd have probably killed eachother by now if they had remained together. |

| realise i'm just gonna be spouting the same shit but i'm angry enough to spout it regardless. in this episode they moved a few inches towards each other and did one attack that was meaningless. in 20 entire minutes. for fucks sake. however did find myself crying at the naruto childhood flashback, even though i've seen it 100 times, not sure why, guess i'm just a pussy. |

| some ppl dont get it what was that reversal about. I wonder how they can enjoy anime while missing so important and fun stuff. It was thirst thing amazed me since ~5 episodes... But well, the titles of future episodes brings hope to the end of those flashbacks. So many memories, just like Naruto would end, but its not posible lol, ppl would leave manga/anime when Sasuke would die. |
| The flashbacks did suck, but people forget and it then gives back-up evidence of what happened. I guess it not that bad, the most useless parts of the flashbacks were of Danzo dying. That was only less than 4 episodes ago, true, 1 month, its its not that hard to remember a Naruto Shippuden episode!>.< The main part of this ep was Naruto trying to start saving sasuke from revenge. I thought it was alright. From sasuke's face in teh preview it looked like he went 'omg' or like clicked or some happy shit. But they always fk with the previews and it could be just wind blowing on his face and cuz he has no colour to his eyes you cant really tell what he's feeling. |
| I completely missed the part with Naruto holding the Chidori and Sasuke holding the Rasengan until I checked it ... that's actually a pretty awesome way of illustrating the 'roles reversed' deal. Showing how Sasuke could have been redeemed and Naruto the fallen one. Tho I don't think it'd be possible for them to literally use one another's moves, even if they'd switched lives entirely, since Naruto doesn't have the Lightning element and Sasuke doesn't have Wind. If Sasuke had succeeded in killing Sakura, he'd have become my favorite character in anime on the spot. No matter how big of a self-absorbed prick he is. Hell, the Rower from the first series could knock her into a pool of water and drown her and become my favorite character. Just sayin. :P Too many flashbacks! I understand why the two of them were staring at one another for the last few minutes, since it was explained in the next ep preview; more tie-ins to the first Naruto v Sasuke bout, where Sasuke talked about high-level ninja seeing into each other's hearts. Tho considering how little he said, it seems like Sasuke wasn't revealing much and Naruto was baring it all, as usual. 3/5, and that only because the Rasengan/Chidori switch was clever. /Now that I think about it, Rasengan isn't Wind-element until Rasenshuriken, so had Sasuke learned from Pervy Sage he could've made his own Lightning Rasengan ... //Wonder what forbidden jutsu a Fallen Naruto would have learned? ///Slashies |

| I see so many people bitching about the flashbacks, yet they're still watching it? Also, did anyone else notice the shadow of the bridge on the water when the camera was pulled way back? There's a giant hole from when Danzo blew himself up, but the shadow was just straight across. Dunno, just thought I'd share.
