So I think the ending was good but a little frustrating but I was a little disappointed cause kaguya sama season 3 has set the bar way too high for me and that's why I wasn't satisfied with the ending although it was great and feel more of a teenage confession why is more realistic and not over dramatic like kaguya so what do you guys think was all of you satisfied or a little bit disappointed cause your expectations were very high like me

I love Kaguya it's an amazing anime
But Boku No Kokoro is waaaaayyyyyy better on the romance aspect
It's a series really focused on the development of their love
Kaguya has a lot of side things that are clearly not a problem but kinda get you out of the romance aspect
So no Boku No Kokoro got one of the best and most satisfying ending ( it continues in the manga of course) in any romance anime for me

There are no spoilers but sorry if I miss it :

for me in terms of romance, the best is dangers in my heart, not drama or random bullshit, and the think is , in next season this anime will change your mind, because the best part is yet to come , my favourite part of this series will be animated in season 3, and that's will definitely blow your mide away. this will definitely surpass kaguya because just by reading manga I felt that and for me that is better then kaguya.

If you had your expectations high due to kaguya sama and think that this anime didn't meet that, your expectation level is totally wrong lmao.

Kaguya sama doesn't even come close to this anime which is made up of pure romance and wholesomeness instead of giving more screen time to comical side characters like kaguya anime.

I've read both these mangas and kaguya sama manga is completed and I was satisfied with it but bokuyaba' manga? It's way too much better than kaguya at the present moment. It might change at the ending of bokuyaba manga but that's for the future. The current standing of bokuyaba and kaguya has a huge gap and you are just not accepting it lmao

BokuYaba's ending was extremely satisfying, I loved it. I really do think that it is the best pure romance we got in recent times.

I see quite some people comparing it to Kaguya-sama, but I don't get why. Both shows are completely different. BokuYaba is a cute wholesome romance with great character development which focuses mostly on the main couple. Whereas Kaguya-sama focuses on the side characters too and not only the main couple and is much more serious(at times) and a bit mature compared to BokuYaba.

Kaguya-sama is supposed to be a romcom and it absolutely delivers in that aspect. And BokuYaba is more of a romance show than a comedy and it too delivers in that aspect. Both are incredible in doing what they do.

I think that Kaguya-sama is a better show tho. And it always will be, for me. It just offers much more in comparison. I just don't get these people who say 'Kaguya-sama doesn't even come close to BokuYaba'. Which I think is just wrong. Ig it's just a bit of recency bias. I just love both the shows, both are great.

I disagree, though I was disappointed a little bit by the ending of Kaguya-sama (especially how they concluded Ishigami and Miko's characters) I generally liked it more than BokuYaba. I don't think them focusing on the comedic side of things made the romance worse, in fact I think the comedy did a really good job at enhancing the romance.

I totally get why you would like BokuYaba more though, it's still an amazing Anime/Manga. It keeps things much more grounded and realistic compared to Kaguya-sama, and I completely understand if you prefer that.

I mean if ur comparing it to kaguya sama, it all depends what your looking for. That was a satisfying ending to S2. Still have to wait for more content for the future arcs but as a manga reader i cannot wait for it to be animated.

I love both shows and as a rom-com Kaguya sama takes the cake. Kaguya sama is basically a parody of them making fun of romance troupes

However on a pure romance aspect, Bokuyaba takes the cake. The focus is on the ML and FL not the side characters and their character development.

I watch Kaguya sama if i want a few laughs with bits of romance chucked in. I watch bokuyaba if i want to get diabetes from sweetness overload and chadkawa moments.

I'm mostly happy with the adaption, except the last two to three episodes which felt a tad rushed at certain moments (f.g. some of the weird cuts in the girls' bedroom scene of ep. 13), but overall it was a really polished adaption with fantastic voice actors and a great score by Kensuke Ushio.

When it comes to BokuYaba vs. Kaguya-sama, I feel like Kaguya-sama had a formative and lasting impression on people who got into anime & manga fandom in the mid to late 2010s, just like Toradora had on those who got into anime in the mid to late 2000s or Kimagure Orange Road/Maison Ikkoku for the 80s generation. I'm sure BokuYaba will leave its mark as *the* reference for romance anime for many in the years to come, just as the aforementioned shows did.

I think kaguya sama's confession was really good but it's got nothing on bokuyaba. The confession in kaguya was a bit over the top for me while the way bokuyaba approached it felt really natural and realistic. It's definitely my favourite confession in all of anime and bokuyaba is one of my favourite romance anime of all time. And honestly I think as a Romance anime bokuyaba is leagues ahead of kaguya sama. I love kaguya sama as a comedy anime because the Romance part gets really frustrating and imo Ichikawa and Yamada's relationship seems much more organic and deeper than Kaguya and Miyuki's.

This is a rare rare example of a perfect and absolutely satisfying ending, all of that growth and self-understanding that both Ichikawa and Anna went through built up to an incredible confession.

My exact thoughts honestly. Bokuyaba showed us that you don’t need a flashy confession with hundreds of balloons to be considered superior; all we really needed was good character development and natural character interactions done in a realistic and wholesome way to be satisfied

Just finish binge watching it. I thought it was ok nothing special one of those anime that I will probably forgot in the next season.

You don't need to compare this and kaguya. They are not similar kaguya focuses more on comedy compared to other anime in the genre even if you are not a fan of the genre you will probably still like it because it offer much more than just romance. It's just my opinion but even the character design of danger in my heart is average and forgettable.

It’s ok but I didn’t really think it’s the best thing ever like these modern anime fans. I would say that kaguya is still better (coming from a manga reader) kaguya has reach heights that dangers in my heart will never reach (even if I admit that the last few chapters of kaguya dipped in quality it was still good and had a very satisfying ending) but love is war at its best is way better than dangers in my heart at its best, fact not an opinion. yh this anime was very sub par, I wouldn't even call it a romance with how little it had in it.
there's no relationship, excessively cringe scenes and no plot development unlike in love is war where it actually builds up the romance whilst also including elite level of comedy.

nah, im sorry if you felt that way, i think it was beyond satisfying. I wont even compare bokuyaba and kaguya cuz even if they are both rom/coms, their aproaches to romance are very different and i like them both.

I read the confession in the manga of bokuyaba and i liked it a lot, but the anime with the vocie acting and the music and the direction was really good

Super satisfied. I am a manga reader and for the first time ever I think the anime did it better than the manga! Sorry if unpopular opinion. Also It is a breath of fresh air to have a romcom and the two get together and the series doesn’t just end or they blue ball you for 300 chapters cough (rent a girlfriend) cough. I still like rent a gf dont get me wrong. But padding out SO many chapters/anime just for suspense or whatever. Overall my god this surpassed my expectations. Just WOW

@guoc I get your point. But all im saying is that kaguya sama is focusing on many love developments of many characters which is, of course something you can expect from a school romance anime, but again it goes back to the main plot which is, the main couple of the anime and bokuyaba is showing that quality at its best from the start. There are other couples in bokuyaba too but they arent that pressed to the screens most of the time unlike kaguya sama.

Romance animes wont hit the mark unless it is filled with the required amount of comedy and in this means, kaguya sama did better as compared to bokuyaba but at the end of the day, it again depends on how the watchers like it and I like pure wholesome romance while not minding comedy too but not too much.

And about the ending of kaguya sama, I dont think this the right place to be talking about that lol but yes, I wasnt quite that cool with how ishigami's role ended but again, its a hard bit to swallow

Is it really better?

I started reading Kaguya-sama Love is war in Japanese back in 2018 and have dropped it somewhere volume 8/9 a few years ago, IIRC, despite enjoying the first two anime seasons. I couldn't really connect with how off the rails the main story in the manga got sometimes. The Dangers in my Heart on the other hand, I haven't missed one single chapter since reading it from summer 2019.

To each his/her own, I guess?
