I don't know what's the corelation between "good adaptation", "wit studio" and "shonen manga" but I wouldn't personally recommend it.
Still, you can decide for yourself because who am I to talk?

I love this series to death but technically I know it’s not the best… it has vampires, the whole friendship is magic thing but in the face of a much darker world, a protagonist with a drastic personality change, protagonist with a dark past and mysteries built on mysteries. Also if you want to watch it you’ll probably have to read the manga after because the anime never finished the story and it’s unlikely it will.

the anime is really generic but the manga is pretty good imo... the anime also only goes up to like chapter 41 and theres 114 current out so theres a lot more lore there

its good , and popular and stopped just because the ln was caught up by the anime. Many say its generic but so are many other popular anime are , majority people like it so you may also have a high chance of liking it, so yeah give it a go.

It was good but not the best… and there is no final season… therefore if I were you/I knew this in the beginning, I would not watch it..

It's an alright show at best I definitely think people hype it up a lot plus it doesn't even have an ending and they aren't planning to continue it

Compared to the wits studio new imitation Vampire in the Garden, it is godly. But otherwise its a decent show with as somewhat improvement in sequel

Yeah, it’s not bad. I would recommend you also read the manga tho. Personally I’ve watched the first season a few times, then waited for season 2 and after that I started reading the manga.

I liked the series very much so go ahead and try watching it.

it looks pretty nice since wit did do a decent job with it, but i wouldn't recommend it, really forgettable and unremarkable story and characters wise.

pretty solid character design though, i feel like this aspect really aided the (surprising) staying power of this show.

I only started watching anime about half a year ago, but I love this one with my whole heart and have probably seen it like 9 times now. I would definitely give it a chance; however, as someone else mentioned, there is no final season animated. So as for what happens after the second season, I would definitely recommend reading the manga after if you end up liking the show!

The fact that you questioned it means that you SHOULD watch this. If you show even a slight interest then you should definitely see for yourself how it is. Decent or bad, it’s going to be a good experience. So watch it keeping that in mind. Personally, I really enjoyed it but I watched it when it came out. There are better anime than this one for sure, but at the time people were talking about it a lot. So you yeah, give it a try :)

personally I read the manga first (it’s the ONLY series where I’ve done this, not sure what made me take the plunge) and I absolutely loved it. The mental and emotional struggles of the characters are super relatable to me (as someone with ADHD and depression) even though I have (obviously) never experienced a vampire demon apocalypse. Plus the queer undertones—which I know not everyone agrees are there but I’m not here to argue—really made it one of my favourite series I’ve read, and the only one im actively keeping up with.

Unfortunately I’ve struggled to get through the anime. I watched season 1 a bit ago and it felt fine, but just didn’t hold much of a candle to what I loved about the manga. A lot of it I think is the animation, something felt really clunky about it. I know a lot of people like it a lot, or started with it, but personally I haven’t managed to get past the first few episodes of season 2. Not because it’s bad, but because I have no motivation to keep watching it—when the manga was something so special to me that I bought all the volumes physically within the span of a month, and read through them almost as quickly.

Overall I would say that the manga is quite niche and not to everyone’s tastes, but I absolutely love it; while the anime is very much Fine: not good, not bad.

its generic, but the generic meaning nowadays already changed, so its technically not generic
