Everyday seems like a new challenge for Eiko so she should be more prepared in the future, like for a festival this episode. Of course, that also draws more competition.

I like how confident Kongming is though, seemingly trusting Eiko to be the star no matter what happens.

Another day, another successful event from Eiko. Major label debut next??!
OOOOOOHHH...... It's Yoyogi Park. The main stage is actually the same one from Love Live Superstar ep.3. 🙂

What a emotional episode!! Our man Kongming continued to assisst Eiko with another brilliant stratagem "From Nothing, Something". It also showed his regret to his old soldiers who sacrified themself in battlefield to ensure the safety of the civilians.

Great episode as always, but damn Kongming you gotta stop making me pull up a dictionary every time you speak lmao

I really do like his character though, you can just feel how experienced and wise he is. I was expecting him to completely beat up those guys that approached him, but nope, he just gave them some throat-soothing juice, was very poilte to them although that's a given and even gave them some words of encouragement. Huh, I guess respecting your enemy truely is the best way to make them a friend.

Overall, very good episode, Eiko's singing was, although short, superb this time as well.

Thing is, I realllly do wonder if Kongming is forced to actually use violence at some point. That'd be very interesting

Another great episode. I love how they made Kongming feel serious yet light hearted at the same time. He's absurdly believable both as a historical figure and as a man in the situation he's in while still being comedic and wholesome and not overly pretentious, overall just a very likeable character even if you're unfamiliar with his strategies.

Can't wait for what surprises he has prepared for us next.

What a strategist, I was wondering why he has faking the technical issues. Also, the life lessons, I'm really digging this so far. Hopefully it stays that way 'cause it's so fun.

Some shows were previewed before the TV air date, while some tv air dates depend on your time zone.

Great episode. I liked Kongmings fashion change and his "It's party time" line. I really thought we would see him get up on the stage and start DJ:ing like in the opening but I'm guessing that'll come at a later date.

Another banging episode as Ya Boy Kongming books another gig for Eiko at a local festival, but since she's a first time performer she has to perform on a small stage adjacent to the main stage with a popular act Jet Jacket performing at the same time. Kongming decided to advantage of the groups vocal issues by pretending to Eiko's stage had sound issues so that Jet Jacket can let their guard down and do a light performance. Kongming showed why he's called the Sleeping Dragon by using one of the 36 stratagems of Creating Something from Nothing by having Eiko come out of nowhere during Jet Jacket's performance.

Great episode! Kongming's strategies really are amazing and he got tons of people to check out Eiko's singing on her small stage xD.
He showed some mercy to the singer of the other rival band by giving the lead singer the best throat medicine ever lol.

Looking forward to the next episode!

I wish Eiko's performance was more animated than static. After hyping the audience up with all the lighting and music, it felt anticlimactic to follow it up with still images. Personally, the visuals just didn't match with the energy of the song or represent the performance it was suppose to convey adequately.

I really want the full version of the OP to drop soon!

From the club to the festival. This is reminding me of Beck.

Spots a girl in a Qipao "are you one of my people?" lol. People think he's a cosplayer when they meet him for the first time. In this episode, the owner is starting to get the hint he's not simply a hardcore R3K fan, but the real Zhuge Liang. He regrets not having one last drink before the soldiers went to battle. In this era, he can.

Kongming did more than just buy star sunglasses in that record shop. He was conducting research on Eiko's competition at the festival. Right down to every detail like the band's biggest hit being so heavy on the vocals.
"Creating something from nothing", the moment he pretended there was an equipment issue was when the bandleader visited their stage and when Eiko offered to help sort it out, he diverted her attention to warming up.

Still, he showed humility to the band leader. As they said themselves, they started out at that festival on the same stage Eiko did years back.

One complain about this EP, how did Kongming even recognize the Cheongsam/Qipao as part of the Chinese culture if they were invented almost 1.5 millenia later (17th century, Samkok happened in the 3rd century)?

Aside from that great EP as always....

PS:
I'm watching through Bilibili, which as we may all know, may had some severe translation errors here and there.
In this EP Koumei mentioned "36 Stratagems" and the Owner immediately replied "Not Sun Ce's?". Was this a mistranslation from Sun Tzu or were they actually talking about Sun Ce? I mean Sun Ce is not a bad leader, but he's deffinitely nowhere near his ancestor Sun Tzu's level (the Sun family of Wu faction claims that they were the decendants of Sun Tzu).
Also, Koumei also mentioned that Guan Yu kneeled to Zhang Liao. Was this also a mistranslation for Guan Yu kneeled FOR Zhang Liao? As Guan Yu, and his brother Zhang Fei, was actually kneeled in front of Cao Cao to spare Zhang Liao, who was a former officer under Lu Bu, after the Battle of Xiapi.

A nice little new episode segment here showed once again how great Koumei strategy while preparing all the possibilities in order to achieve success for his new master, Eiko. Even he already prepare another plan, if the location was not on that desserted area near Jet Jacket stage. Also a good characterization moment for a lost three kingdom tactician when he reflecting his regret by not attending the little drinking party with his sacrificial troopers, considering it all as a lesson toward a better future, with Eiko. Then, he also not forget to be more humanized when facing the enemy in front, especially in the peaceful time like that. If not then, say goodbye for the head of those trio indie band, said Kongming xd...

Very well, and lets see whats the deal with that flashy old man which also the part of Koumei plan at those festival. Yare yare...

I think it was a slight reference to Sun Tzu because the 36 Stratagems were often compared to Sun Tzu's Art of War. The Sun Ce line was supposed to be a reference to when he had the Imperial Seal at one point which was briefly mentioned by Koumei. I don't recall the part where Guan Yu was kneeling for Zhang Liao.

This show is the first success of the season of the 3-episode rule, it just continues to bang.

Eiko has more followers since her first small stage gig, and Kongming is already onto the next as per his stratagem personality. Strangely coinciding with a girl in her Qipao, haha I get what Kongming's going for.

The Yoyogi Arts Festival is a chance for Kongming to lure audience onto the stage for first-timers put on an abandoned wayside, even more for another group (Jet Jacket) to take notice and started thwarting their chances of success, the same way they did before when they started.

Just like before, Kongming comes with a stratagem: the 36 Stratagems (that's different from Sun Ce's Art of War) to use Jet Jacket's weaknesses, combined with the location to create to best possible scenario. Even Kongming is well-versed in psychological warfare, and Jet Jacket's problems are solved with Kongming's drinks lols, the Will of Heaven favours Eiko true enough, and douse it with drinks as what they did back in the Three Kingdoms.

The big fish has come, and this has only one direction: UP!

Kongming's such a cunning gentleman, and this is only going to get better as a wonderful and special adaptation.

Man, I love this show. Another great episode!

I like that we get to see glimpses of Kongming's past. The show is fun as hell, but there's also some underlying heavy stuff there.

Eiko's so adorable and precious, I hope we get different Eiko song's soon. While I like the one she's singing now (full version when please?), some variety would be nutty.

Kongming out here keeping his friends close, but enemies even closer. Really looking forward to the next episode.

Yeah, I know about the Imperial Seal and Sun Ce, and how funny it was when Yuan Shu was gangbanged by everyone due to him misusing it. But the Owner mentioned Sun Ce when talking about the 36 Stratagem for some reason.
Well, Guan Yu does not exactly kneeled really, but if I'm not remembering wrong, he and Zhang Fei did indeed vouch for Zhang Liao to Cao Cao.

Edit:
I think I misremembering. Cao Cao admitted Zhang Liao due to later's disagreement with Lu Bu after their capture. So then, when was the prideful Guan Yu ever kneeled to Zhang Liao again? I know they are basically old buddies, but to the point of one kneeling before the others?

It's not Sun Ce's Art of War, it was Sun Tzu's. Sun Ce does not have any Art of War, although the Sun family did claim they were the descendants of THE Sun Tzu himself. He did at one point hold the imperial seal he inherited from his father Sun Jian.
Oh, Kongming did indeed proficient in psychological warfare. He once managed to made Sima Yi pulled back his entire offensive force just by sitting openly on top of the fort, due to the later's fear of getting into Kongming's trap, despite his fort is actually empty and an easy picking at that time.
