Hmm, I'm not a fan of that chief commander. Seems like his partner is also kinda arrogant although a skilled fighter.

Got to see a fight aboard a train this episode. It seems this show is pulling out flashy settings to make the drama and action more exciting. Hell also displayed that sadistic side of her personality of hers although Destiny wasn't intimidated.

Valkyrie is a serious person, she is the type to prioritize her mission, ngl when she blushes she looks quite cute.

Seems like Hell likes the thrill of killing D2.

The narcissistic chief commander was very annoying and suspicious.
I hope Valkyrie will be able to find a good maestro in the future. She could join Takt's group as well.

Feels kinda bad that they ditched Valkyrie like that, and said they don't need her anymore..

Hopefully, she will join Takt & Cie, and maybe become his Musicarts

Another musicart and conductor pair, and both being loud-mouthed. Will be a huge favor if we don't get to see them more often later on.

New girl Valkyrie seems okay, atleast she took back her words and appreciated Takt.

The New York Symphonica's Head Commander Felix Shindler with his Musicart Hell and lonewolf Musicart Walkure (the music inspiration from Richard Wagner), they're clearly playing the antagonist view from first impressions, while Anna is doing all the work while Takt and Cosette are just lazing around on their way to New Orleans.

The whole train sequence that's like Demon Slayer's Mugen Train arc (but kinda worse), except that the D2s are manifesting around a prized possession of the Black Night Siderites. Takt still has aways to go to efficiently control Destiny, but Hell is one HELL of a narcissistic Musicart to eliminate D2s with ease.

Hoping that Walkure will get her own Conductor, and Shindler is a shrewd Conductor at that. Takt stood his ground quite well, even if he seems aloof.

Kind of a meh episode with slow progression.

The basic high-up guy that have the crazy partner.

Is good to know that Ragyo from Kill la Kill got a new job.
I was hoping that Anna would become Walkure Conductor.
Hopefully Walkure will reappear.

You realized when another anime brainwashed you, when you hear "Walkure" and you do the Macross Delta hand sign.

the animation dropped quite hard..
and the plot is still kinda generic.. i do get the plot would be good enough for a game but its comes out as cringey and edgy for the Anime
especially Hell's lines..

Walkurie best girl tho.. hope she joins the main cast.. or maybe in the game she will now be available to roll or given out as free to add in yer roaster for battle? idk..

The anime really hasn't been anything superb or extraordinary not gonna lie..

I feel like this show is 90 percent sakuga and 10 percent actual story, and I’m totally ok with that lol.

Commander’s Musicart is hot as FUCK. And she’s a sadist, yes mami torture me.

Shield hero musicart is cute as well. Loved seeing how she blushed when Takt complimented her. Could definitely see her becoming his second musicart.

Just found another bold anime character-Maestro Takt.
The head of commander looked evil and his musicart looked spooky(really).
Although the series is getting warmed up here.
And I still don't get it- why does Takt loses his hand every time when Cosette (Destiny) gets prepared for a battle against the D2's?

I like this episode, when Valkyrie blushes, I'm quite amused. It reminds me of Fgo, I mean everyone likes fanservice like that right? Also I like Takt's straightforwardness and a bit of rudeness. when Takt and Destiny quarrel is also quite interesting.

Given how irregular Destiny is its no wonder their appearance puzzles people. Apart from music seems Takt is bad at everything else. Felix's views on Musicarts though sure were extreme. The fight against the flyers sure proved interesting. But it was the second defense against the horde that proved to be the true crucible. Given her personality its cute seeing Walkure act so embarrassed after being praised. The destructive power of Hell though sure was brutally effective. Looks like Felix is trying to play power games huh. Overall a pretty balanced ep that while featuring some nice action also did well to expand the lore by introducing some new faces in the form of Wakure, Felix and Hell. Its interesting that there are musicarts that have no masters though. But now that Takt has angered Felix i don't think his life will get any easier.

Really liked today's episode. We got a villain and it's companion and lots of plot details like the existence of lone wolf Musicarts. Wish Walkyrie joins Takt's party now that she has been abandoned. Her tsundere personality really fits Takt's attitude but she could also become Anna's very own Musicart. Either option'd be cool as long as she stays with the main party and isn’t ignored.

This episode flew by real quick. We got introduced to a character after Destiny got them into some problems. I feel like they repeat the same thing over and over; some sakuga animation in the beginning and then continue the "story".

Anway, they attracted a lot of D2's in this episode and that means; more action. Destiny and Walkure fought together to defeat them which went pretty well until a masses of them appeared out of nowhere. Well, Takt managed to come up with a pretty smart plan which caused Walkure to do something that she is not fond of; She was pretty adorable when she started blushing after Takt complimented her xD

The commander got L'd pretty hard by Takt.

Actually an episode with some plot, but the quality of the writing still has mobile game spelled out all over it.

For some reason Felix is a mustache-twirling caricature with an affected personality, in place of actually being an interesting character with some depth. Meanwhile, Anna and Takt are shocked that he refers to Destiny as a weapon, despite the fact that this was already implicit from prior events in the story. This creates a sense of fake tension in the scene that is manufactured and has no actual basis in the plot. From their point of view, there is no reason to view the exchange as confrontational, aside from Felix's cartoonishly sinister demeanor. But their negative reaction is necessary in order to create a plot point leading to Felix becoming a minor antagonist, so it gets shoe-horned in with minimal justification.

In a nutshell, the scene on the train is yet another demonstration of bad writing. Characters lack the depth to be either interesting, or to provide other characters with the necessary motivations to advance the plot. We as the audience are "told" Felix is bad, instead of being shown him actually doing something motivated and logical to demonstrate his character. As a result, the reaction of Takt's group makes no sense in context of the evidence presented by the narrative. This is weak storytelling.

The other new characters are more or less one-dimensional caricatures as well, which is not surprising. These are the types of characters that would be expected in a game of this caliber. Valkyrie is a tsundere guys, did you get it? Wow, I sure can't wait to pull for her when the game finally comes out. The main cast of course has had zero character development since the first or second episode. Takt is if anything even more of a bratty diva, but that hardly counts as "development."

As for the action, no change there. No effort to do anything with the music premise, and no effort to elevate the action beyond what would be expected from a level in a cheap video game. In this episode, the bad writing even bleeds into the action, culminating with Takt's brilliant move to drop a small cliff on enemies that can, you know, fly. Leaving aside the fact that this makes no sense, this simple idea is somehow missed by everyone else in a shaky attempt to paint Takt as some kind of tactical genius.

The animation has become extremely repetitive at this point. Destiny jumps up in the air, shoots her gun, and then lands. It's boring and uninspired, but I'm sure a bunch of people who have never seen anime before will continue to think this constitutes "amazing" animation.

Anyway, this is probably where I drop the show. The quality has stabilized at a predictably low level, and nothing is really changing or developing on that front. With only seven episodes remaining, it seems every unlikely that anything particularly interesting or revelatory with happen, given how shockingly little world-building has taken place so far. Not surprising given that this show is pretty much just bait for the game.

Final conclusion: this show is embarrassingly bad, and only has buzz around it because of studio clout and the concordantly flashy animation.

For one thing, the production values felt like a more consistent improvement over last week, so that's a good thing. However, the commander of the train convoy sounded like a smug muppet that needs a good slap in the face. Shame that never happened. =(

Either way, we got to see two new musicarts in this episode. Valkyrie, who did act a bit too stuck-up at first, but her passionate defending against the D2 and her chemistry with Takt did win me over in the end. Her blush was really cute, too!

Then we had the commander's musicart, Hell. She's one sadistic psychopath and the way she enjoyed herself when she took out the godzilla-looking D2 was impressive, yet unnerving at the same time.

Takt and Destiny did well with their fighting, aside from blowing a hole in the ground in front of the train. Takt also deserves respect for the way he wasn't fazed by Valkyrie's earlier attitude issues at his group and he even went as far as to lecture her about her manners, too. I do hope Valkyrie does join him in the future, though. =)

Story progression is a bit slow this episode. I am not the one to complain mixing in huge fight scene every now an than is great.

I did like the introduction of the new Walkure , hopefully she gets a good conductor but if i were to guess she won't end up turning into a villain or something for a filler.

I liked Hell it was fun to see this narcissistic chick 1 shot that D2, her conductor not so much I get they are trying to show that he has some ulterior motive but his tone just doesn't works well with the idea

Also, didn't really liked the commander guy, and im not saying this because hes a bad person, which he obviously is (the series seemed to want to make this point really clear), but jeez hes so textbook bad-guy-in-disguise i couldn't help but laught a bit. Doesn't help his companion is extremely shady and clownish (which i won't lie, made me cringe a bit).

On the good side, this episode had a really big jump on animation quality respect to the last one,i suppose it has to do with MH leading on this one?

I think it can be reference to "HELL AND HEAVEN" Symphony nº1 by Oscar Navarro... just because there is another musicart with name "heaven" listed at fandom wiki page, and she also with unlisted "origin"/"basis" (same as "hell")...
So may be they just split one composition name in to two characters... may be just because it is kinda dum to give one character name "hell and heaven", especially considering opposite nature of both parts of the name

PS: also sound when she equips her "wheels" are pretty similar to sound that you can hear in one of the parts of that symphony

While I don't necessarily agree on the part of the show being bad, you make some good arguments regarding the characters and the use of the music. The former lacks in personality to the point were my favorite now is probably Anna because she at least reacts to what's happening. Regarding the latter, maybe using some classical tunes to shape the fights, though I don't know how demanding would that be.

It certainly isn’t getting much better.

None of the characters they introduced this episode were interesting. Shady Military Guy, Crazy Girl Named ‘Hell’, and Innocent Female Knight/Valkyre. Idk why Shady Military Guy was so angry Takt didn’t agree to work under him after he treated them coldly and didn’t even attempt to persuade him with any benefits that he could gain by joining. I also thought it was funny how Innocent Female Knight/Valkyre talked about how none of the D2s will touch the train on her watch after she was late to help and they already touched the train. That’s the level of writing we’re working with here.

We got a good amount of action, but I wouldn’t call the action good. It’s clear that a lot of time and effort is being put in, but it feels so messy due to the poor direction. Ends up with very little impact.
