| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah yes, Machi. She's still around school but seems to be much better terms with Yuki this season. Also got to see Mitsuru's parents this episode. There's still a lot of drama around thanks to Akito's presence. The very presence of Akito's character brings out the most intense and explified feelings of this show. I think the VA does a fantastic job at voicing the character, especially for their various emotions. We even got to see a kiss! |

| The more we learn about Akito, the more we know that Akito is not just a female with the behaviour of a brat, but a by-product of abuse. Now it's not just the 3 Somas, but adding in Tohru too for a taboo topic that cannot be shared with a slip of the tongue. I've always despised the Yuki Fanclub, how can girls like them be so one-focused lols. To see the whole school go gung-ho on Yuki, it's a surprise that he's been having fun since Season 2. And of course, Machi is back, and she's a tad better than ever...I still ship these two like they're meant for each other. Same with Tohru and Kyo. Kureno has been freed from the Soma curse, and the other Somas (e.g. Isuzu) are trying to do the same, which is a good thing. In regards to Shigure's hidden personality, this episode strikes as being one of his worst behaviours seen ever since the beginning of the series. The joking brother has become the devilish and cold character in the feud between him and Kureno, in desperation against Akito's whims of love by sealing with a forced kiss. A pretty dark episode, one of the most darkest Fruits Basket as ever been. |

| Right, I was wondering what the real significance behind Kurenai-san breaking the curse last week was aside from Akito-san’s fear but it’s starting to make a lot more sense now. And then there’s Shigure who’s totally playing around, lol. Sleeping with her mom to “test” her, that’s wicked stuff. We’re starting to see more and more of Akito-san’s weaknesses and flaws but not at the stage yet where I can ignore her past actions, if I’m to be brutally honest. Momoji ;-; Got to feel for Honda-san who’s unable to share all these. Machi and Yuki’s little moment was so adorable! Where’d that come from? But please, give more of that. Pairing’s confirmed pretty much, I’d an inkling for a while but it’s sealed now. |

| Man, I love Shigure's evil eyes. Akito used her "womanhood" to capture him and Shigure gave in, I didn't expect them to actually do it. I wonder how their relationship will change now that they've done it. It was a great episode. |

| We learn in this episode that Shigure is a literal mother fucker. lol, I can finally say it. Machi and Yuki's scene was pretty adorable with Machi chasing after him whole over school then blushing & showing her tsundere side. Kyo and Tohru flower scene also showcase Kyogoing all worried over Tohru after she became sad. That whole Shigure and Akito story is very complex u could say toxic as well with both of them backstabbing each other cuz the other cheated on them. While Kureno also being in this mess cuz he couldn't leave Akito alone. And Ren being mentioned cuz Shigure slept with her. Also, that tie scene was so sexy animated waited so long for that scene. Overall quite an intense episode. |

| I never thought that Shigure would have that kind of personality. So he really loves Akito. I wonder why Akito has a messed up personality. I'm assuming her mother, Ren, had a huge part in it. Machi and Yuki's moment was great. They would make a great couple and the ship seems to be taking off. Well, judging from the OP's visuals, that seems to be the case. And honestly, I can't stop listening to the OP. Tohru is really conflicted about whether she should talk to someone about what Kureno told her. It pains to see her like that. |

| Ok, so this episode adapts chapters 100-101. Most of it is like manga, with very little changes, not important. What I don't like is that they still show Momiji so short around 04:00, he should be the same height as Tooru now. :( Looks like next episode is chapter 102. BTW, I don't like the Shigure-Akito pairing, they are both too twisted so I can't cheer them on (not to mention I HATE Akito). But I do love me some Kyou-Tooru and Yuki-Machi, those were cute scenes. <3 (My fav pairing is Haru-Rin though, need to see more of that.) |

The flower scene ^_^   They're quite easy to make; I've made them lots of times. xD silly students complaining about a literally 3-minute activity. How to make them: Get three pieces of tissue paper and put them together Fold them like a paper fan Fold the fan in half and staple in the middle Trim off the closed end so you have two open ends. Pull the tissue paper layers apart to make the petals. :3 |

| Shit got tense at the end, but honestly the highlight was the Yuki x Machi moment on the stairs, that was just too adorable and I wanted more of that. Honestly, it's so hard to grasp what the relationship between Shigure and Akito is. Feels like a love-hate relationship. Just the fact of Shigure sleeping with Akito's mother, cause Akito slept with Kureno just baffles my mind lol. Now they actually did sleep with each other, call me shocked. Pretty crazy scenes. Now Tohru continues her search for Isuzu. |

| The whole situation between Shigeru and Akito is just too weird and messed up... At least with all the drama going on, we got to see flower scenes with Yuki x Machi and Kyou x Tooru. They're so cute!!! Love the new OP ^^ |
| there was a lot packed into this episode. we're starting to see some yuki x machi, kyo x tohru, and shigure x akito. it was interesting to see shigure and akito's relationship this episode, although I'm still confused as to how he can both hate and love her so much. honestly I don't think this show is good anymore but I'm watching because I'm already two seasons in and might as well finish it off. i hope something intriguing happens soon to regain my interest. |

| Chapters 100 and 101 were adapted for this episode. Beyond a few scenes being shortened or additional dialogue being added, not much to comment on for changes. Here's what I spotted for differences in this episode: -When Akito awoke after dreaming about her confession to Shigure, she was asleep in a limo with Kureno in the manga instead of in a futon. As a result of the scene change, Kureno informing Akito that they’ve reached their destination was removed from the anime. This scene was present at the start of Chapter 101. -Tohru’s hesitance to ask Shigure about Akito’s gender and her thoughts pertaining to the issue were cut short in the anime. -When Tohru got surprised by Takei’s yell about graduating, there was a short bit of her, Momiji, and Takei depicted in stick figure form in the manga. -While surprised with Machi seeking him out instead of other students, Yuki recalled seeing the other students he encountered in the manga. -The dialogue with the two waitresses in response to Mitsuru’s call was added for the anime. |

| Machi best girl made an appearance. I think it would be a nice story ending if her and Yuki could make a go of things. Id always considered Akito to be an supernatural entity acting as a antagonist and generally making everyone's lives miserable. But this season opening sequence has totally blown that notion apart and if anything I can empathise with the character and understand there emotional responses and actions in a very different light given what they have experienced. Its blown the whole show up. Tooru also now looks to be increasingly suffering mentally now she has learned so much more about the Soma family and there secrets, and not knowing who she can talk to due to the cataclysmic revelations she now holds truth too. |

| Ooo okay. This is getting intense now and there is so much things going on in this episode. Machi and Yuki were so cute together in this episode. I’m glad she’s getting some more screen time next episode as well as her interactions with Yuki. Now, Tohru. Tohru’s “hypothetical” question was ideally interesting, yet it doesn’t seem Kyo being satisfied due to his acceptance of his fate after graduation, meaning there is no hope for the curse to break. That moment between the two highlight this episode, including the others. Damn, Shigure knows what he is doing. What makes his character so well beyond interesting is that he is self aware on his perplexed doings and wanted Akito to understand the wrong commitments she has done throughout her role as a god. Also, the love fume relationship between Shigure and Akito is purely toxic and twisted. Oh right, did anyone saw Rin at the end? |

| great episode! though, that kyoru scene lol. like always, got interrupted by uotani and her gang haha. hmm.. shigure really does like to cause trouble, doesn't he? adding more fire to the flame. i guess this episode was really focused on shigure and akito's relationship. i can't wait for the next one~ 8D |

| When I first watched the OG series in, like, 2012, I really thought of Fruits Basket as a romance with some aspects of drama. Especially with the way it ended with the reveal of Kyo's "true form," it was dramatic and heartwrenching, but ultimately not too too much. But if you told me that the full story would include any of the stuff that we saw in this week's episode... Man, I don't know what I'd do. I'm really apprehensive of some people calling Akito and Shigure a "ship," mainly because 1) their relationship is god awfully toxic and 2) they're (at most)distant cousins. Which I should be used to at this point with Fruits Basket but still... I don't think I can ever get used to how much incest is in here. I will admit, though, that it adds a lot of darkness to the drama within the family and the curse that plagues them. |

| I adore this show! The Kyo-Tohru moment, the slowly developing relationship between Yuki and Machi -- and oh I how I love Shigure. Akito and Shigure have me riveted. That phone call flashback between Shigure and Kureno -- ouch! When Shigure told Kureno he hated him, it revealed so much. And ugh, the back and forth between Akito and Shigure and how they hurt each other -- it's clear they've had this argument over and over, just as it's clear they love each other. I do enjoy the angst, no lie. I love all the emotions in this tragic family. But in the end, I want them all to find happiness! |

| Well, quite the spicy episode we got this week, huh? Finding out that sly dog Shigure slept with Ren because Akito "betrayed" him by sleeping with Kureno first was like damn son. Also that tie-pulling scene was so sexy. Now seriously, I always liked Shigure and think his character is quite intriguing but damn, what a twisted man he is. He seems to be the possessive borderline sadist and extremely jealous kind of lover and the relationship he has with Akito is so messed up. She's the person he hates the most but the one he loves the most as well. Toxic love-hate relationship at its finest. As for Tohru, it's sad to see her this troubled regarding who she should or should not talk to but let's hope Rin can be able to lift some weight out of the girl's shoulders. That is, of course, if Ren didn't abduct her when she sneaked into the Sohma estate last episode. |

| Pretty lighthearted beginning with the flowers and the Tohru and Kyou scene, though it seems as of late Tohru has been really hard on herself mentally. The bits with the editor are always funny LOL. Serious scene with Akito at the end, we got to learn more about the dynamic between Shigure, Kureno, and Akito. I guess Kureno did some things (well more than things) to get on Shigure's bad side, I hope this will be further elaborated on later in the season |
