| I think he deserves to go jail if he really harassed a minor (I heard that he will imprisoned for a year or year and half I'm not sure). For the manga, I don't know what entered it into this shit, they were quick to cancel it, it should be stay in hiatus until the author been free then completing the manga if he wants to, the manga could be canceled if the Japanese refused to get a continuation due to what the author did, but this wouldn't have happened as the manga sales increased in the period between the author’s arrest and the announcement of the manga canceling by Shounen Jump. Before a year I was sure the manga would have an anime adaptation in a few months after it won some awards beside its high sales, now I have no hope of a continuation but I wish he will continue publishing it online in the future. |

| Ahhhhh.... Just right at the moment when I'm loving the manga... I'm still at Princess Iron Fan conclusion, therefore there are still 20-odd chapters left. I was wondering when Kuroyama will direct Kei in his "final" movie. I can't see it conclude within 20 chapters, and then I just knew the news from this thread. Jeez, I'm gutted. I truly am. What the author did is wrong, I won't condone it no matter how much I love his work. But then again I love the series so much that I want it to continue. Looking at what he has committed, and how society works, I honestly can't see how he can continue the series. I also don't think he can publish it as a web comic either because Act-Age, just like many other Jump series, is probably owned by Jump (correct me). Therefore, publishing your work online without Jump's consent will be a violation of copyright. Arrghh..!! It left me hanging!! All in all, if there is hope, then I will hope to see the continuation of Act-Age. If the author decides to bring his pen on paper again, then by that time he must have repented. Despite his crime, I'm willing to forgive him just like how Kei forgives Hanako. Welcome to yet another episode of sleepless night... |
