| I just finished volume 1 of the LN, and I must say... what an unironic masterpiece. It is a brilliant parody of the isekai formula. The issue it's going to cause is the main character's personality. He's so cautious, but he doesn't care about NPC's or public property (for example, he pours holy water on everyone just in case they're undead). It all depends on your disposition of him. Also, I advise being perfectly prepared for any memes that this series may spawn in the community. |

| I started reading the manga just before the anime was announced and so far it's hilarious. Even funnier, apparently the Demon Lord they're supposed to fight is also genre savvy, so things are going to get interesting. |

The genre already has good anime, the fact that many of you try to reject this reality is your problem. Moreover, this is first of all an LN... the author didn't write an anime. There are way more issekai LN's and manga than anime (the anime just barely brush the tip of the iceberg).... in fact, is by far the most popular genre when it comes to writing Light Novels. Along with that, if you go on any manga site, and check the top, you will notice that up to half of the top 100 manga are isekai. So there is enough material out there, to make parodies of the genre. Furthermore, a genre does not need good stories so you can parody out of it, that's utter nonsense. And a parody doesn't mean ''making fun of it''. Does story doesn't either? Just like Konosuba this just uses troupes in a funny way. |

| Yes generic right off the bat. Even the Godess addresses Japan being popular for Isekai (no shit look at all this isekai lately wtf!?!) and they are quick to catch on because of it. Too many isekai lately - bad ones at that, not even trying to make it interesting. |
