Damn, the uncle's condition isn't looking good.

Shouko's confrontation with Juri and the others was kinda interesting. I think she made a bold move from her own perspective this epsiode too. That Herald is terrifiying. Seriously though, Juri had to use her powers at full force to just survive.

I'm still impressed at how Shouko is handling this situation tbh.

That was really intense but it seems they accomplished their goal, wether those people are alive or not is a different mater tho.
The question now is what next seeing al the things that happened so far.
It's also a question wether the changes they made will effect reality.

‪The sixth episode of Kokkoku was WILD! There were so many intense moments that tightly gripped me to the narrative with the Heralds and Tsubasa. This particular episode convinced me that everyone should be watching this Winter 2018 anime.‬

Another engrossing episode. Mostly herald hunting, but first, Tsubasa. Turns out we were indeed faked out yet again and he managed to pull through. He even managed to kill his attacker. That scene where he vacated his bowels before dying was something. And then Juri, Gramps and the Dad were even able to put Tsubasa back in stasis before he became a herald. Immediately after that happened though I thought it might end up sealing his fate. In stasis, assuming all the heralds are gone, he'd be completely defenseless. And sure enough, the bad guys find him judging by the next episode preview. Guess we'll see if they decide to kill him or not. They might not know the heralds are gone yet like we do which might end up saving him we'll see. But on that note, ARE all the heralds really gone? Juri took out the massive one this week, and definitely released all of Majima's family members, but unless they fused off screen or something weren't there three last week? I definitely remember the baby one but we didn't see that here. So either the baby was someone else unrelated, or they really did just fuse off screen or something.  Either way Majima's parents were too far gone but what about her brother? He looked in much better condition and I think I saw tears in his eyes. For her sake I hope he can somehow be saved. It would be better than nothing for her. That aside the only other really interesting thing of note this week, besides Juri just being badass as usual, was the Dad's ability to summon heralds seemingly at will. I'm not sure how much that will matter anymore though if there really are none left, but it's the first time he's actually been shown being useful and if he's still active I gotta think there's a reason for it that'll get played out at some point. Guess like I said with Tsubasa earlier we'll see.

Pretty intense episode and things keep being interesting.

Well,it was obvious that Tsubasa wouldn't get stabbeb, but he almost turned into a Herald.

Takafumis killing intent is off the charts Or rather this seems to be his ability.

Fight against the Herald was quite something. Hope there's a way to save Shoukos little brother.

This was probably best epd so far. A+ without question.

That Herald appeared out of nowhere! It would appear that the intent to kill the stalled must reach epic levels in order to satisfy the requirements. Juri's powers are fascinating, she's the key to all of this madness lol. How are Heralds chosen? That guy killed someone, and then he was turning into a Hearld, but that still doesn't explain much for Shouko's family when they became Hearlds. This has my complete interest right now.

As expected, Tsubasa didn't get killed but he almost turned into a Herald after killing his attacker. I'm interested in seeing how that development will progress in future episodes.

It also appears that Juri's dad has the ability to make the Heralds appear. That whole ordeal was pretty intense, but I'm happy to see Majima get some kind of closure with her family.

I don't feel like this episode was as good as the previous couple, but it did at least keep things moving in a reasonable fashion, if nothing else. Interesting that the father can pretty much instantly summon the Heralds, and while I'm sure that'll continue to be a factor I guess it depends on what Sagawa and co do next.

I would like to know too, but I doubt it's going to be important. The directing of the entire series was never good to begin with.

I think it was just used in order to have a "cliffhanger ending" for episode 5.

I don't know if it's a special ability. They said Heralds appear when you're trying to harm the "stalled".

PS : In the end, they found "the boy" (to be pronounced with Dirk Gently's british accent).

Was wondering myself if it was a power and if not how disturbing is it that the father had intent to kill his son (even if it was for a second)?

They explained that last week. Heralds / Handlers are chosen by people losing the will to leave Stasis and consigning themselves to Stasis forever.

I think I saw Tsubasa's top ripped on the side but there was no blood or a scar or something so it's either something else or where he was hit with the knife

I'm watching this series 3 episodes at a time bc the suspense is just too good. Def. one of the top anime of the season.

I like the slow reveal of each family member's powers. I wonder what the kid and slacker bro have. Then there's single-mom sis out there too, right? Wouldn't she be awakened by one of the exorcised flying-spaghetti-creatures?

Also, the writers put a bit of thought into each gangster's personality, even if they're only on screen a couple of minutes.

Looking forward to the next 3 episodes!
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

Seems like Juri's dad has the ability to summon heralds. Possibly Makoto could have a ability as well in the near future since everyone in their bloodline has a connection to the stalled world and their own ability from what I've been seeing.

Majima's brother also seems to be the only survivor in her family after those 17 years. Could cause future problems in the future like becoming a hostage and such but who knows. Nonetheless, the whole episode was very good. Their whole family is the key to this, especially Juri.

So far the show is good. The last few episodes are drawing me in more than the first as at the beginning it seemed like nothing special. I am very curious on where the show will go on from now - will there be more twists and how will they deal with the people hunting for them. It's getting intense and I like it!

It seems like Shouko's family are the Heralds with jurisdiction in that particular area, otherwise it would be too much of a coincidence for those 3 to just show up.

It's unclear yet whether Dad has the ability to summon Heralds or if he's just messed up in the head. The latter explanation is more fun :p

Now the 3 are exorcised, does this mean there are no Heralds to protect the stalled?? Maybe they will have to move to another area unless someone turns next episode.

WOW! at least Tsubasa got 1 official kill! NICE ONE!
omg, Tsubasa almost became a Herald! good thing Juri expelled the spectre right on time!!! So what happened to Tsubasa is exactly the same way on what happened to Majima on the past when Juri and Majima where just kids!
Auntie Juri is scary! hahah
lolz it always happen when you want something to happened like intent to kill the Herald won't appear but the dad if Juri only took it a second and he doesn't even have a knife to begin with! just the pure intent to kill is enough to summon the Herald!
Gramps teleportation is really handy and useful! Makoto is really enjoying the scene! so intense!
Juri still awesome with her powers! it makes her badass!
That Majima butt was nice!
The 3rd Herald was a kid and not dead!? cool!
5/5.

Last episode I thought the old man got stabbed, turns out, it was neither the color of their clothes, NEET dude was holding a towel and kinda use it to soften that stabbed tho he was still stabbed but not deep maybe in the arm or mid section

Takafumi is a fool and has apparently lost it.

And with this episode, I have lost even the slightest bit of sympathy with Shouko.

How her brother appeared at the end of the episode was quite creepy. I wonder what's up with that.

It wasn't his son (Tsubasa) they were using to summon the handler. It was a random bystander or one of the men who is working for Sagawa(sp?) San who had been previously stalled.
This guys clothes were too intact for what Tsubasa had just gone through, for it to have been him.

His family showed moments before, that they cared too much for each other (Tsubasa included-though I agree his father's affections are somewhat questionable...) to have been willing to involve him in this (even if it was supposed to be a staged intent to kill)- Juri and the others weren't entirely sure that Shouko wouldn't outright kill someone, if need be, to achieve her goal.... So, his father didn't have an intent to kill him.

He seemed to me, to just be trying out several thought methods to try and see if any of the handlers showed up.
I don't like the father much. He seems like a sniveling coward, who, if he thought his family would somehow still remain safe in a situation like this: he would betray them for power. In some misguided thought, that, he might be able to gain their respect by force. Just my opinion. He doesn't need that sort of power, if that's the case, Juri should just expel his jellyfish as well to keep him and the rest if them safe (them safe from his conniving greedy mind, and him safe from their enemies. I doubt those are the only handlers. There could be as many as 100 or more).
