| Jesus, Mavis went all Yandere on Zeref. I thought that was a super sweet and emotional moment. To be honest, this is the best solution on ending Zeref's character without killing Natsu. (Or maybe Natsu is dying anyways due to the next chapter's title) Though the problem that was presented and how it was resolved was mediocre at best. It's really hard to think of other ways to write the end of Zeref properly. It was doomed to not live up to expectations from the start. I wish they never added the factor of "If Zeref dies, Natsu will die as well." Hiro sorta wrote himself into a corner with this so I kinda expected something like this. Anyways, I legitimately cried from laughter to see that Makarov is still alive. I'm looking at the comments in Chapter 505 discussion. It's quite entertaining. Some were skeptical and others thought he was truly dead. Another said it was a trap for some reason. Well, Makarov is alive and everyone in Fairy Tail is crying tears of joy. I wish I felt any feeling of happiness from this. With the fake outs with Gajeel and Juvia, the return of Makarov moment is sullied by poor writing. If we weren't so unsure if Makarov is dead or not, than his return (again) would actually be more meaningful since he's been in that state for a very very long time for us readers. Now on to see whats up with Lucy and wait for the return of Acnologia. On a side note: Who wants to bet that Makarov will finally die in the epilogue? I'm sure there will be a time skip where Fairy Tail couples finally get married and have kids. I can see them honoring Makarov's tombstone on Tenrou Island. ....and even if he does die in the epilogue...I fully expect him to still return from death. Also. I'm still not ready to say good bye to this series despite how critical I've been about this series. |

Makarov lives yet again for the 9000th time! this old man just wont die, its all fucking bait, dont expect Natsu to kick the bucket because of the next chapter title, only his flames will die, he himself wont. They be adding drama like Natsu's gonna die and Natsu closes his eyes says his farewell, then next page poof* he survives! GASP* with the end card THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP REMAINS STILL, WITH THEIR HEARTS AND FRIENDSHIP OVERCOMING THE FATE OF THE YOUNG DRAGON SLAYER. FUCK THIS SERIES HAHAHA. |

| It's amazing how much of A tier trash this series is lol , you can't make something bad like this without trying , all hiro care about is money and since people still buy this garbge he will never pay attention to the quality of this series and here we are whining about the plot Next chapter the drama with natsu dying will start until they asspull something to keep him alive , maybe lucy will re-write the book with her tits this time i think that will be more affecting |
| I actually liked the chapter. Mavis and Zeref died together and the whole 'death by being loved' logic more or less made sense. It was kinda sweet and slightly tragic but it's a good ending for both of them. Also, the last page was nice. Unfortunately... Makarov is alive! Ugh... Like almost everyone else I always thought that he'd come back eventually but after such a long time passed I thought that maybe, just maybe, Hiro finally killed off Makarov for real. But no. Makarov is destined to be the master of Fairy Tail for all eternity. I mean, seriously; what the heck? It seems like Mavis and Zeref resurrected Makarov or something. I don't know and I can't say I really care either. Makarov is alive and all logic is out the window. Oh well, we have another 8 chapters. I seriously wonder what Hiro plans on doing with that many chapters. I wish we could see Happy and Carla reunite with their parents and I'd also like to know how things in Edolas are right now. Also, the ships need to sail so that I can have some sense of satisfaction. |

She isn't worried in the slightest because she knows you can't beat the plot armour that the Fairy Tail members possess. In 8 chapters Zeref and Mavis will both be spirits chilling in the guild hall, Acnologia is the new fucking maid of Fairy Tail and Gildarts is still nowhere to be fucking found. |

| Not surprise that Makarovs still alive I guess Im just so used to Mashima's fake deaths. XD The only noteworthy moment here is laxus reaction... But I'm also glad that Mavis and Zeref are peacefully together, I just can't help but cringe at how lame zeref was defeated... |

It's indeed a Fairy tail where good guys live and bad guys die erhem Nobody was angry about makarov death because he had to die and it was heroic even more than when he sacrificed himself for acnologia that's where he must ad died actually , even so this was also nice end for makarov but he must live on, and seriously acnologia is gone for real? that's more lame than how haru defeated etherius in rave master ...................... what's next rave masters last chapter repeat with 7 year timeskip??? Like rave it's a great story but hiro sucks at final arcs in his works :D |

I thought you were only referring to this chapter lol There are plenty of reasons to hate Fairy Tail overall. The cliche characters, nakama BS, constant asspulls and most recently the fake out deaths with this chapter being the most recent example. |

| And people said this arc was going to be better than Tartaros... I knew this arc would give Mashima trouble the moment he introduced the spriggans The Nine Demon Gates was the main problem... NOT Zeref. In doing so. More effort was put into them.. They were somewhat generic but caused mental and physical stress to the point FT disbanded. It was a back and forth battle between them and FT. Almost won had not the Dragons shown up Fast forward to Alvarez were the main focus was to be Natsu Zeref and Acnologia. Introducing TWELVE NEW CHARACTERS was one of the dumbest moves he could ever make in this series. As we've seen with GMG he has trouble juggling a large cast of characters which in turn made this arc a mess and made it seem like Hiro was just going through the motions till it was evident he just sped through this to let it end |
| I'm probably one of the few people that legitimately liked this chapter. Seeing the end to Zeref's and Mavis' lives was extremely beautiful and bittersweet and I feel like this is one of the best handled plot threads of the series (the love between these two characters that is). The fights in this arc were trash but this chapter reminded me why I love this series despite its flaws, because I care about these characters after having so many fun experiences with them and seeing one of my favorite characters finally find happiness through death is heart breaking. As for Makarov coming back, it's not like he was brought back without any consequence, Mavis and Zeref's lives were literally exchanged for his which is why this chapter was titled the Power of Life. It's fine to hate this arc, there has been a lot of dumb moments after all, but I'm not going to let it ruin my love for the series as a whole, not when I've been following this series for 11 years now. I don't expect really anything action-wise going forward through these last 8 chapters, I just want good wrap ups on the rest of the cast. P.S. I love how Hiro was able to draw Mavis and Zeref kissing clearly at the end. I know that he did it from the distance shadowed out in their flashback because he didn't want to cause controversy from how old Mavis looks but I'm glad he decided to do a full on kiss at the end of their story anyway. |
