Damn, this episode felt tense.

Even though there's a rakugo performance going, there's also Yakumo back there with his fragile health. Yotaru's performance is as entertaining as ever as expected. I feel like he improves every time he gets on stage. Such a talented young man.

Ishida-san's character to emergency while Sukeroku continues his performance to catch up. Everyone enjoyed his performance. It was stroke.

Repairing the building? The writer always find out something he thought amazing. Ishida-san's character finally woke up.

Video of previous Sukeroku found? next. 27:00 next.

Oh gosh, such a relief. I was really worried that Kiku would die in the end of the episode. I'm so glad he didn't. :) Also I'm starting to really like Konatsu.
And yesss in next episode we get some flashbacks and also some footage of young Kiku and Sukeroku. I can't wait. :D

I wonder if he'll recover enough to be able to perform again.

I thought the comment from the journalist at the hospital about "I finally got you too look my way" was terribly out of place. I hope it doesn't mean more than that.

The old film should be a blast next episode. Looking forward to hearing the original Sukeroku.

Thank god he woke up....This man is so selfish about this death thing

I really liked how Yakumo, Kiku and Yotaro's rakugo were compared with one another, that was really accurate and it made me smile

The next episode PV gave me feels though.....Looks like we're gonna go back to the past when my boy was still alive :(

A footage of a Sukeroku performance...i wonder what that will bring to the table.

Yotaro nailed his rakugo, he held it together incredibly well. It's indeed a shame that Yakumo couldn't see it.

Yakumo waking up at the end ;_;

That preview had some crazy stuff in it o_O

The preview gave me the feeling that maybe now we will start to see what actually happened in the past. Because the first season let me with the doubt "is Yakumo saying the truth or is he so good in what he does that it sounds believable?" Oh man, so hyped!

This episode was so intense. I'm so happy that Yota could do it until the end, good job ç-ç

I'm a bit late this week, but no surprise this was another very strong episode. My goodness, the mental fortitude it must have taken Yotaro to give such an outstanding performance while unsure of his master's life! My god those tears at the end of it! And in the car with little Shin asking why they were crying...such a good boy. That and their tearful reaction at seeing Yakumo wake up at the end really tug at the heartstrings. So they're trying to close down the old rakugo hall eh? I couldn't help but compare the hall to Yakumo himself in that scene, aged and in danger of dying. Well next week looks to be even more emotional with another trip down memory lane due to this Sukeroku video recording. For Konatsu and Yakumo both if he sees it most likely.

Finally, I don't really want to bring this up because frankly I'd prefer if the matter was already settled, but...considering Konatsu's reaction to that guy's "Finally looked my way" line I'm wondering if we've found Shin's actual biological father...or if I'm just being paranoid.

"I finally got you to look my way".
Ok thats enough no more of that thank you lol

Really like the direction Yota's style of Rakugo is going, so now instead of having a personal style its more like a universal style aimed for the audience & not himself. Which he has said he'd rather beforehand.

Rebuilding of the threater? Entrusting that to Yakumo?
Lol no Yakumo is apart of the old threater, he'd rather die before seeing that happen. & more than likely that is what will happen lol

The beginning was the best part. When Yota looked at Yakumo and he was struggling I was like Damn...he's going to finish the show!

Then Konatsu and Yota knew that he needed to finish it as well. So good!

The middle stuff was kind of meh, the end was good. There's video of Sukeroku which will be good for Yota.

That look on Yota's face as he said he want to stay instead of accompanying Yakumo is so fucking cool, yet fragile. Next week, more of little Kona-chwan.

That's our Yota, being able to do a unique Inokori/continue doing Rakugo under the stress of Yakumo's being in the hospital. Wonder what that film with Sukeroku would do to everyone.
I'm just confused by the whole concept of scoring by "Writing and characters." If you're not entertained, why should you care?

Good episode. I loved the segment where author points out the traits of different performers and differentiates from Yotaro's rakugo. His rakugo is more like universal approach where he becomes a vessel for the story.

The next preview... I'M SO HYPED!

So he survived... in the end. Guess he's not yet done with passing his experience to others. But clearly, he won't be able to do any rakugo anymore.

Kinda suprise we are going back to the past again. Guess they just want to revive those best parts (as S2 stands pale in comparison with great S1) and bring back great seiyuu again (as Yamadera Kouichi and Hayashibara Megumi are both masters of voice acting). Have to say I'm not fan of Yotarou's rakugo, he is missing certain charisma both Sukeroku and Yakumo had. Would be actually nice if he did some serious story for a change. Would be nice if he grow up finally...

Maybe it was discussed earlier, sorry for not being up to date then, but is there some kind of symbolism behind the ending? Okay, falling mantle, cushion and the rest is self-explanatory, but I wonder if there is something more to lone "island" surrounded by bamboo trees. I admit I'm not that high on Japanese folklore and it got me thinking every time I see it after every episode. I'll be glad for any tips.

I always have to wait until I'm feeling "okay" enough to watch Rakugo, because I know I'm gonna cry like a baby. As expected, this episode wasn't any different. It was even worse than usual, I guess. I cried almost all the time.
When Yotaro ran to do his rakugo and Konatsu ran to go to the ambulance and they both said "I'm counting on you!". Ouch.
Yotaro's performance on Inokori was AMAZING. Like, he was... Man, it was just suberb. And both he and Matsuda crying in the car because Yakumo couldn't see it. Oh my godness this anime.
"I'm still alive". THANK GOD. I wouldn't be able to handle. Shit, Yotaro crying in the train when the writer guy told him Yakumo's rakugo probably wouldn't be the same... Just... Oh my god.
And when the episode was over and I was crying in relief and emotion (It was a super emotional episode, "nossa senhora"), comes the preview: With more flashbacks. We're gonna be able to see Sukeroku performs in a video (which is already really a shot in our hearts) and apparently more suffering - I suppose it's Miyokichi and Sukeroku final moments, right after they fell down. So yup, guaranteed suffering for next week as well. Holy shit.

Yotarou chose to perform because it's something that Yakumo would have wanted him to do. Yotarou's performance was amazing! He's definitely improving a lot. He's rougher and doesn't have the same elegance as Yakumo but that's what makes him charming. I loved his rendition of Inokori.

A film with Sukeroku performing rakugo! :D

Yakumo finally woke up! :D

A nice episode, liked it.
The beginning when Yotaro performed is the best part. He let out all of his emotions to do that rakugo.
Mid part is so-so, not so much happened.
Last part is the twisted one, Mangetsu's sentence "I finally got you to look my way". Makes me wonder what happened actually between him and Konatsu.

That was fucking scary, dudes. I was tense the entire episode. I seriously respect Yotaro having the guts to continue performing after that happening, and delivering such a stellar performance as well. Yakumo was showing signs of his health deteriorating for a long time, so this wasn't completely unexpected, but still just as terrifying. I hope he's able to make a full recovery. At least he woke up in the end. On a happier tone, Yotaro seems to have finally found his own rakugo! I still can't tell the difference, to be honest. I'm just here for the ride. Were cameras able to record video even a thing when Sukeroku was alive?

Really interesting when Eisuke pointed out that there are three natures of Rakugo and that his perception of Yotarou's Inokori matches with what Yakumo said about his lack in ego.

Further showcased when Yota stayed back at the beginning of the episode in order to perform Rakugo. Really nice. Also loved it that Konatsu was noticeably worried about Yakumo. Thankfully, he regained conciousness.

Decent episode. Wasn't that captivated or emotionally hooked by it so it did feel like a weak episode in comparison to a lot of the show, but I did admire Yotarou staying at the theatre to perform rakugo to the audience with the best of his abilities to break out of the mindset of panic after learning about the Yakumo needing to go to hospital. Good thing Yakumo managed to survive for now at least at the end.

Splendid performance by Yotaro! Hats off for him handling the situation so well🙌

I really hope Kiku gets well soon😢😥I felt soo sorry for him🥺

When the manager was telling Yotaro about the theater rebuilding, I was in tears😭😭😭Is that the best way to describe melancholy? Nostalgia? That is the circle of life.. everything comes to an end🥺😢Kiku, rakugo, sukeroku..
