Solid match, a lot of pressure on both teams.

Tsukushi is the ultimate underdog on the field but I do admire his fighting spirit still. Glad to see Jin making a comeback as well. While Tsukushi isn't a strong forward, he is able to keep a momentum for his team by trying to give them possession of the ball.

The brief background storytelling is interesting as well.

Pretty good episode, Game was cool to watch.

Still frame soccer is still the majority in terms of presentation of the game, but the zeal and intensity of the match still come through fairly well despite that.

That Tsukushi entrance. XD

Narukami scored, Indou did a bicycle kick out of nowhere to pass. O.O

That final play from Seiseki was great, Nice monologue from Tsukushi as he received the square ball from Kazama. He better score this, I hope it doesn't end in an anti-climatic way with him missing or shooting over the bar or something.

Are they freaking serious, how can they end the episode on such huge cliffhanger I was about to have a heart attack there at the end thinking will he score or just trip down and fall.

GOD DAMN IT.

Still its 2-1 for Saku High atm, if he scores it will be 2-2 and there's like 2-3 more mins left, wonder will it go into extra time or could they really pull another goal in such small time.

Looks like we finally got some brief backstory about Tsukamoto and why his dad is absent.

Hopefully Tsukamoto's shot at the end will actually go in this time instead of getting rejected at the last second. It's good to see that he's sort of...kind of improving a bit.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Suprised to see that Tsukushi has excellent ball control and passing now. Considering that he mostly ran for training.

His shot looks like it will go in, but knowing Tsukushi anything silly is possible.
His first attempt looked a lot harder than this one.
They've dragged this game on for sometime but it looks like it'll be done next episode.

I get the feeling that Saku High will take it though. So there's a big chance his shot will miss and he'll need to work on his finishing. He's done well though for his limited time on the pitch.

ok.
kazama, screw soccer, listen about the kitty!
glad to see him be a legit player now.
The way they hyped that up, he needs to score this, i don't care if they lose later, they just hyped this too much for it not to go in.

This series was borderline watchable before but now it's gone into insanely bad mode:
- he will miss, that much is confirmed by the PV
- narukami's goal was from offside
- after narukami (a striker, which would've had to run the most to get the ball) defended tsukushi's near-goal everyone ignored him even though he had the ball so the game was still being played
- overhead view just showed terrible placement
- so many players grouped up randomly in a huddle, just make a rugby anime instead please
- why was tsukushi put in the first place when all his colleagues have far more game sense and skills than he does
- the "class" clown's autism saving the day would be better if the whole anime was a joke, like ixion saga

I'll watch it next week then I'm done. Far better sports anime out there.

Usually I would comment on how cliche that the weak main character power up (not exactly) and save the day, blah blah blah but I can accept the story development in this case. The writing is really good even with the atrocious still image animation.

I echo your post man, being a football fan and watching this show is just infuriating, I can't wait for Tsukamoto to either a:) hit the crossbar or b:) hit the post. I know for sure I'll be pulling my hair out by the end of this show If I do continue to watch it.

okay, anybode else that thinks the 2-1 should have been offside? I mean how bad is the defense of seiseki? Narukami was clearly running in front of the defenders when the pass was given. This is some BS.

Sadly to say this anime doesn't look so good.
The MC is autistic, not just shy and the author doesn't seem like he knows what he's doing, just trying to fill it with stupid drama moments and then misses football rules.
Plus the animation is out of whack, the defenders playing rugby, third person views of players running are messed up.

Otherwise one need to be physically disabled to miss a sitter like that.
Ball is traveling at perfect speed, he has even time to receive it and it looks like he is missing for sure.
Because he made a kick movement with his foot instead of just pushing it in.

The author at that point is making it too dramatic and therefore it just looks lame instead.

Nice 3 and half minutes review which can be used for finishing the cliffhanger. Around 15 and half (when Tsukamoto put the ball in the kick off), the field looks really small, what is that? a futsal field? and what GK doing in the middle of their own field territory (both teams GK, seriously...)? And what a nice chat they were having before the kick off.
After I watch the preview for the next episode, I assume Tsukamoto will miss this last shot and they'll lose the game, obvious next episode title and preview.

Everyone who keeps b**ching about the anime, simply don't watch it and don't pass on your negative "CHI" to others....
But this anime I love but I have feeling Tsukamoto will miss like he is so clumsy... & the outro scene for the next episode kind of gave an indication. But I hope the developers just try to tease us with the ending of the next episode.
If they do go overtime the game will finish within the 10-15minutes within the next anime episode I'm sure.
Wish I knew what manga chapter this so was I could watch it >_<

Welcome to episode of anime's forum, which all of us freely to talk about the episode. And, "don't watch it" is never as simply as that, for me, I'm still hoping for this to entertain me. And everyone is freely to "b*tching" about the episode (and anime). For me, it's just about how we express our feeling about the episode, and hoping for the author can read it so he can learn more from our "b*tching".
And if you love it, I have no problem with that, everyone freely to love anything they wanted, so, my "b*tching" never force you to feel the same with me, you can still love this anime, and I can still dislike this anime and watch it. If anyone read our "b*tching" and they are like, "oh, he's right", then, they just feel the same with us, it's not us spreading the "b*tching".

You better didn't say you will die if he misses, because from what I watch in the preview, I'm quite sure he'll miss it, just look, it looks like there is no extra time, and I don't think they can score 2 goal in that very limited time. And very obvious next episode title... But well yeah, we will never know what will happen, let's wait for another week hahahahaha xD

Having caught up with the manga, I already know how this ends.
Knew from last episodes preview that this would be where this one ended.

Got to say, they did do a decent job of making this match exciting. The flow of the players jinxing around and dodging tackles was pretty well animated.

That desire to make me suffer!
Seriously, something I love and hate both of anime sports: defining the final minute. Also you can not predict whether the protagonist team will win or not.
Excellent chapter to enjoy the game as a team and the desire to succeed. A couple of very interesting combinations, and watch a desente evolution of Tsukushi.

The +3 minute recap at the beginning was a bit unnecessary.

Title of next episode (according to preview): “I won’t let anyone be disappointed again”

So yea, it seems he missed the shot. How? that’s what I’ll like to know...

Better than the previous episode, but still in the realm of average.

The recap at the start was kind out of nowhere, but thanks to that I realized Mizuki's celebration pose & Kit Number was a loose reference to Ronaldo.

That goal from shorty felt like it's offside. The run from that short kid was way before the pass came, and the defenders were like all behind him based on the animation.

Narukami is a really skilled player, too bad he's overly sensitive when it comes to his height. I know lots of short guys who still gets a lot of attention from girls.
